177 slug's

Has anyone used H&N 177 slug's for squirrel's in the new 10gr.? Looking to use them in a stormrider at 100' or so. I have H&N slug in 10&13gr. really like the way they perform. Been running them at a 5" block of clay with a 3/32" thick piece of leather in front at 100' they both go all the way through.
I think they are both doing like a JHP in a .380 the rider may not be pushing them fast enough for full expansion. Without the leather they both expand very well.

Hatsan  hasan hammer spring anti tamper

hi need to ajust hammer on hasan nova star but on my 22 i can as no anti tamper but on my 177 yes there is under the safty were you put your long 4mm alan key it has a anti tamper block how to remove and yes its fac just in case says its not on as im also puting a reg onto my rifle can some one help thanks

Nomad 2 not building pressure

My Nomad 2 has worked flawlessly for years, up until now. I performed the maintenance as per the manual a year or so back and hadn't used it since. I went to top up a rifle today and it won't build pressure beyond 50 bar or so. The LED read out varies between 18 to 20 and you can hear that it's working. I check the fittings on the line and can't detect any leaks and the external fittings are snug. I'm guessing a dried out o-ring or somewhere?

Tuning  Mastering Efficiency: Tune Your Airgun to Perfection with SEKHMET Digital Gauges

Hey there, Sekhmet is thrilled to roll out a series of content about electronic gauges that matter to the airgun community. Let's delve into why I ventured into creating this product and what electronic gauges have brought to the table during my decade-long journey with airguns.

In 2013, I got my hands on my first PCP airgun, the Airforce Condor - no regulator, single loaded. Yet, it brought me immense joy. Subsequently, I expanded my collection with more airguns like the AirArms S510, Huben K1, Snowpeak P35, Walther 1250, FX Impact Mk2, AGT Uragan, and many more. The performance and playability of PCP airguns have seen a groundbreaking evolution in recent years, thanks to the collaborative efforts of numerous brands.

In the pursuit of better performance, especially for benchrest competitions, excellent tuning and consistent repeatability are essential. After using various instruments and conducting personal tests, I believe efficiency is the epitome of superior performance. When an airgun's efficiency is high, its accuracy and user experience tend to be better. It results in less noise and vibration, more shots per air fill, and even the ability to drive heavier slugs with a lighter system, allowing players to experience the thrill of larger calibers.

Here, I want to express gratitude to Ted for sharing his expertise with everyone. He optimizes airguns in a way that most people can achieve. You can check out his video here. Ted mentions in the video that judging a gun's optimal configuration can be done by the sound it makes upon firing. However, this method often falls short for airguns with built-in suppressors or in environments where distinguishing sounds is challenging. Hence, the idea of using an electronic pressure gauge to precisely calculate the exhaust volume is what inspired me in creating Sekhmet.

What I aim to do is uncover these patterns and share them with everyone. That's why I developed the feature-rich 28Pro Gauge. Considering many parameters that users can record and calculate themselves, I further introduced the 25Standard Gauge with only a digital display, offering a more cost-effective option.

Here's a visualization graph about efficiency - Pic1:

pic1_600x600.png

  • α represents gas efficiency: the percentage of compressed air energy converted to the ammo's energy.
  • P0 is a regulator pressure if a regulator is present.
  • V0 is the gas volume released per shot, which depends on parameters like your set hammer force and transfer port.
However, peak efficiency doesn't necessarily equate to the best accuracy. It's a systemic engineering process. The premise is to first choose the right ammo and barrel parameters based on the shooting scenario, select an airgun according to your budget and preferences, and then find the most suitable settings for your platform.

Ultimately, most users find themselves in a sweet spot within the optimal range of pellet initial velocity. They strive for the best balance of efficiency, regulator pressure, and exhaust volume for pellet optimization - Pic2.

Hope you enjoy this topic! In the upcoming posts, I'll gradually share how to calculate and achieve optimal efficiency. We're planning to launch a user-friendly efficiency calculation tool on our official website to keep your airgun in its prime condition. The underlying model is often more complex, so feel free to discuss anytime.

Please believe that Sekhmet's discoveries are based on extensive research in the PCP airgun field. I've successfully participated in the development of several PCP airguns, achieving considerable accuracy. The content is extensive and will be continuously updated for an extended period. I hope you follow Sekhmet for the latest updates.

February TEXtreme AAFTA Rifle & Pistol Matches Results

Thanks for sharing Ron,

I hope to attend another Textreme event sometime this year.

Cool, Michael. If you'll let me know beforehand, I'll put a good word in for you with the screening committee.(y)

Ummmm... on second thought, it occurs to me they consider the source(s) of character references. That being the case, bribery might be a better approach.

:ROFLMAO:

Honestly, look forward to seeing you again. :)

Traditional Rifle  NLA WTS: Sheridan Blue Streak Model CB - Excellent Condition w/box (1971) **REDUCED**

Offering up this extra nice Sheridan Blue Streak Model CB with original box for your consideration.
Based on the S/N it was built in 1971 and has Montgomery Ward labels on the box.

Caliber is .5mm/ .20 Cal and I have not shot this rifle personally.
It came to me along with two early Crosman rifles as part of an estate that I purchased this past summer.

The gun shows some minor handling/use marks but the wood is solid with a little sun fading and the metal is clean with no visible corrosion.
I have shot this only a couple of times to check function and it shoots very well and seems to hold air as it should with no noticable leaks that I can detect.

My price is only $299 Shipped for this one. ((Shipping to lower 48 ONLY))

Payment to be Friends/Family PayPal, ZELLE or USPS Money Order

First "I'll Take It" followed up with a PM containing your contact info gets this.

**NOTE** Although I am new to this forum I am very active on GunBroker and the SWCA (Smith and Wesson) forum under the name THREEDFLYER and you can check my feedback there. Please contact me with any questions and I can provide my direct email address and phone number.

Newbie wants to skip the normal 1st airgun starter gun

I’m surprised the only I have listed in the classifieds isn’t moving?

If I was in the position to add another to my collection, I'd be looking at it.

These are big girls, people seem to be gravitating to lighter guns.

The Zelos with a 450mm bobbed barrel and .22L bottle for example, almost 1/2 the weight of my fully kitted Maverick.

Thank you! Was a little unsteady as i was leaning out of my window  also, that dang tree just had to be there!
😂....that, leaning out of the window makes that shot even more impressive! 👏🏻 I would miss a bull elephant at 10yds doing that....😂
