I’m having a hard time getting my valve to seat after resealing my Ataman M2R Bullpup. Any tricks with this particular gun?

Have both the Bullshark and Avenge-X rifle for close to a year now, find myself grabbing the Bullshark 100% of the time just because it's so light and short. Bullshark is also quieter than my Avenge-X but the Avenge-X is .25 and the Bullshark is .22. May end up selling my Avenge-X at this rate for another Bullshark in .25 because how much ease of use the Bullshark is.

Question: will my regular scope rings work on the USM ELite's Piccatiny rail system? Or do I need a different set of mounts?

I got my brother one of the original Shockwave rifles back when they released, maybe a decade ago or there abouts. It's been shot quite a lot over the years and still in use. Aside from occasionally wiping down the exterior of the receiver with oil, I don't believe he has performed any real maintenance or had any repairs done. They're dependable airguns as long as you don't get a lemon from the start. The triggers do smooth themselves out eventually, but may take thousands of shots to do so. Accuracy is generally decent enough for hunting but some models can shoot pretty darn well. Shooter skill and artillery hold play a big part in hitting what you're aiming at, not sure how familiar with spring/gas piston guns but there's a learning curve to shooting them. A good thing is not much has changed on them since the original release, aside from the shroud design. Just keep expectations realistic and enjoy the new Shockwave.

We have an indoor 50’ pistol range in town, we shoot a bullseye league and what we call a combat league where we shoot our carry guns for practice. Access to the range is members with key cards 24 hours a day unless league is shooting. The last time we cleaned the bullet traps we took the lead we had been saving to the local scrap yard we got .49c a pound for 1600lbs. We also took the empty brass that the guys leave in 5 gallon buckets, I don‘t remember how many pounds it was but we got about $400 dollars for it. Helps pay for the heat and air conditioning.

100 M for sure will be fine with a .177 slug shooter, unless you demand pinpoint accuracy, but if you are good hitting within 1 - 1.5 CM of where you aim you can have good wholesome shooting.

Coming from a plinking, pesting and small game hunting background I use a 1 inch (2.5 cm) circle as my reference... it's the appropriate size of a squirrel's head.

A hit anywhere inside 1 inch circle is good, outside the circle is a miss... it's a binary thing, all or nothing - close doesn't count (unless you are using high explosive ammunition ).

When bench shooting paper I'm looking for pinpoint accuracy... the rest of the time (most of the time) I prefer to relax and have fun smacking spinners.

If you've tried using your Kral single shot tray you know it's a pain in the butt. Here's how to fix it.
Thermoplastic beads from Amazon, 8 bucks for 8 oz. Heat them up in water wait till they turn clear and mold them on top of your single shot tray. My XS I can do them right in the gun, my breaker I cannot because there's more holes for the thermoplastic to get into and then you can't get it out. The breaker I did it out of the gun clamped a couple of flat pieces on the tray and put a quarter inch drill shank through so the whole wouldn't fill in. Piece of cake, try it you'll love it.

Checked two recent field target events near to me, one pretty high profile....

• March of 2024 Sonoran Desert Grand Prix (AAFTA) - 50 users of JSB or JSB produced relabels (FX/AA/etc), and 4 users of non JSB (3xH&N and 1xBenjamin)
• Feb of 2024- Ultimate Field Target at Phoenix Rod and Gun Club- in the pellet class, 13 users of JSB or JSB produced relabes, and 2 users of non JSB (1xZAN and 1xJTS)

That's pretty typical for match reports that include those details. And when only caliber and weight are listed, they're also 90-95% JSB caliber/weight combinations.

I'm sure similar percentages will show up in benchrest match reports.

JSB is typically, "the good stuff" and used by the majority of competitive shooters. It's great that most of the JSB pellets are trustable, but when you're at the top of the heap, there's nobody pushing you to be better.

Market competition is a good thing. As the end users, we'd all benefit from another player in the pellet making game, SPECIFICALLY one that makes pellets with comparable quality (reliable accuracy) and similar or even better BCs than JSB.

I really would love to see this rifle on the podium, I dont think I could handle the excitement I would have if that were to come true. I will say this though, I do feel extremely confident behind this glass and trigger..... the amount of seat time I have behind the rifle feels good. I am really looking forward to it!

The problem with that is wind is never constant. Not even for a split second. With wind flags on a windy day of say 12mph, You can watch near flags blowing one way and down range at 40 and 50 yards see flags blowing in the opposite direction OR all over the place. Someone tell me how you can accurately read that/" dope the wind". I have seen this many times shooting ARA sanctioned benchrest. Nobody on the line could dope the wind with any degree of consistency. ANOTHER TALL TALE. You will shoot through the window of opportunity when this happens, so to speak. The problem with that is , there are time limits on the cards. Sometimes you just can't wait it out.
Barrel length and accuracy: You will pretty much know if your gun is accurate by shooting at 20-25 yards. If the gun is making one hole at 25 yards, the projectile should continue along its accuracy path unless acted upon by ambient forces, or stability issues. As the projectile slows along its path , wobble is induced. The skirt of a pellet presents itself as a " sail" from the very time it exits the muzzle. As it slows at longer ranges, the sail ( pellet) starts to wobble, the further it goes the more it wobbles on deceleration. The more it wobbles, the less accurate it becomes. The counter to this is more speed. It's a catch 22 with pellets. More speed could equal less accurate. Less speed could equal less accurate at longer ranges. This is why everyone wants to slug it out. The ballistic coefficient of a slug is far greater than that of any pellet. As for me, I cannot understand why on earth a .22 Rimfire rifle can be built to shoot under a half inch at 50 yards with a 40 grain projectile traveling at 1040FPS ( Lapua) and under an inch at 100 yards, but an airgun can't. There lies my dilemma
