Saturday project update

Not at all.
If there were any issues it would be the first few thousandths of an inch where the pellet leaves the barrel at the crown. Now that being said any moderator can cause issues when the pellet goes through a baffle. I’ve not seen it in an air rifle, typically the holes are large enough not to interfere with a pellet. If you ever get a pellet strike I’d sure be investigating. I used a .250 hole through mine so if I switch it to .22 cal I’ll have to pay attention. But so far it is amazingly accurate at 20-50 yrds. I’ve been working with it around 100yds over the weekend and results not to good. But I’ve not tried anything but jsb 10.34 gr yet. My son has basically same set up as mine but he’s running 10.34 jsb at 870 fps. His definitely performs better at 100yds.

Traditional Rifle  SOLD Sheridan Silver Streak

1980’s Sheridan “Silver Streak”. 5 mm, 20 caliber. Shoots strong at around 680 fps with eight pumps. Excellent trigger. Williams peep sight. Nice figure in Walnut stock. Very clean and nice Sheridan. Recipes thread?

Have you ever tried honey lemon chicken? It's a surprisingly easy dish to make at home, and so much tastier than takeout. If you're looking for an easy honey lemon chicken recipe, there are tons of great options online. They usually involve simple ingredients like chicken breasts, lemon juice, honey, soy sauce, and a few pantry staples. In under an hour you can have a delicious and healthy meal on the table!

Tuning  New spring compressor

I bought the Air Venturi rail lock compressor. Didn’t like it.

Made a few in my wood shop with different clamps. Worked better. I talked to Mycapt65, and I now use his method with no clamps, by hand. I like the feel of it way better. Last year I did 10 spring changes by hand, including a HW80 plus spring. So far works like a charm.
I use this “nub” coated in silicone for installing.

That piece of wood to the right of springs. Instead of using a wrench to hit and unscrew the trigger housing I use that piece of maple. No marring. Crow

Budget Build VS. Expensive Builds?!?!

Just to be clear, most of my guns are quite costly. Ergonomics, weight, balance, trigger feel/characteristics are usually hard to come by and achieve with cheaper guns... some of the more expensive guns possess much finer details that are integrated into the very design of the receiver, hammer, material choices, orientation, ect. There is no cheap or easy way to obtain these things most typically. But that does not mean that guns lacking these things cannot perform. So, in my opinion, that is where you can find a lot of value in higher end guns. Assuming these things are present in whatever model it is. That and they hold value. You don't always get what ypu pay for either. But when you do, it is worth it.
