Ha, German manufacturers seem to love confusing future collectors! There are two completely different "Walther LGV's" and "Weihrauch HW 50's," and back in the 60's three different manufacturers offered a "model 55." And don't even get me started on Diana, who often recycles a model number for three or four utterly different guns over time. One would think integers were a limited commodity. LOL...
I firmly believe that this is done on purpose for the sole reason of causing annoyance... LOL!

FX  FX IMPACT M4 SLUG TENSIONED BARREL

Experts, I just bought an FX .25 tensioned barrel for my impact. I slugged the barrel to determine groove size. Does anyone know why the barrel groves appear to be .250 at the breach (lands) opening slightly larger through the middle to about 2" from the muzzle wherein the grooves appear to measure .2455. I believe I recall a conversation about the barrel being chocked. Do these measurements seem right? What diameter slug would you recommend I try first?

Benjamin  akela not cocking and low power

anybody having problems with the cocking lever getting stuck or losing power?
this could be your problem.
-open up the top rail of the cocking lever and take a look inside. you might have a pellet stuck in there.

-for loss of power. you might also have a pellet or two between the hammer and poppet valve pin. i found all these slugs smashed around the pin, acting like a shim and stopping the hammer from fully opening the valve.. i suspect it’s my doing by not seating the slugs/pellets fully into the magazine before shooting them. i may have also done this when i had to unjam a pellet from the muzzle with a stick and may have popped the pellet into the space where the pellet probe retracts into when cocked.

don’t be like me 😅 i couldn’t find anything online about this so i hope it comes in handy for a future shooter of this platform. shoots!
Same thing happened to me.

Rediscovering Precision: How the Kalibrgun Snipe II Changed My Mind About High-End Air Rifles

It’s a good thing that sign doesn’t specifically exclude air rifles too😂😂😂. Those are some really nice groups. I agree with you; I have always found the value to be real when it comes to “higher end” air rifles.
Kenny
I actually asked before I went to 100 and one of the RSOs made jokes about it but talked to the Range Master and he was cool with it since I didn't have to arc the shot to make it to 100 yards lol

N/A  On average, are PCP semi-autos more complex and less reliable than side lever?

Biggest mistake I ever made since joining the airgun bandwagon 25 years ago was purchasing my first and only semi-automatic 2 years ago. Got myself a new Evanix Cloud Ultra in .25. Bum rifle purchased from Bum dealer New England Airguns. Troubles started from day 1. Would eat up breech o-rings like a hungry beast. Trigger tripped the scale at 10+ lbs and after shooting 10-12 shots she'd go full auto. Tried to talk to the dealer to take it back, no dice. Even contacted Evanix and got the same answer. Stuck the POS in a bag and put it away. $1,800 thrown out the window. Will never buy an Evanix ever, and from New England Airguns much less! Never again...................................:mad:

N/A  High shot count .177s?

Taipan Veteran Standard, first gen.

If you can find one in .177, sure. You're looking at 130-140+ shots per fill if it's around 19fpe, which is plenty of energy for the birds and rabbits you mention.

If you can't find one in .177, a .22 tuned down to the same power level will be just as appropriate for your uses. And about the same shot counts....call it 100 shots per fill. Use pellets in the 13-14grain weight and you're just as safe as a similarly powered .177.

(A "Short" will still get you 85-90 shots per fill @ 19fpe, simply due to he shorter airtube).

And since these are tubed guns, hand pumping is doable.

As I already have a Taipan in .25, this is a solid suggestion that I’ll keep my eyes peeled for just in case. :)

Benjamin  New member! Need help! Benjamin armada 25

Hello all! Glad to find a place to talk/learn about my airguns. I purchased a Benjamin armada 25 caliber used the other week. I am a fairly new pcp air rifle owner I have a gamo urban as well but this is my first rifle I can modify easily. The armada I purchased is missing the entire barrel shroud assembly only the 1/2 inch 20 inch long barrel itself remains. Leaving the rifle to be very loud. My question is do I have to get another shroud? If so I seems I have to get something aftermarket. What do you Guys recommend? I also thought i may buy a pro adapter and a silencer for it to get the same effect. What does everyone recommend? Thank you!
No, you can just shoot it as is. If you do not want a shroud then do not have one. The Urban is unshrouded and the Maruader/Armada (same gun) can be as well. The parts can be purchased from Crosman, AGR, Hill Airgun and Hill can supply custom carbine length shrouds.

Not sure why this is a mystery to you but the OM with the parts diagram and PL are available for download on Crosman's website. Here is the PL for the M-Rod, you will need all those parts that you are missing to restore the shroud as intended by Crosman:

Gamo  Why do they make this top mounting rail like this?

Set back mount. Yeah, that's what I might need. Thanks for the pic/wording. If my scope had more meat between the bell housing and the tower it wouldn't have an issue. I'll mount it the next couple days and see if I can get it to work. Or see what other scopes I might have. Crap. I hate having to change plans when I have a certain setup in mind. I guess money can eventually fix anything even if I have to purchase a set back mount.

O-ring

i don't own one of these but there are 2 piecing pins front and in the lets call it a plug that tighten everything together
i am guess there is no seal in the front because the seal in the back is just a urethane Oring being it is green
https://www.pyramydair.com/blog/201...Q9XI-qMS0HmBL_ORzuHJJAn5BvA53fS9p0QZsMUZ449U3
so, if that is true the size Oring is a 113
shop around

and you right Umarex is useless

but i could be wrong

Strike Industries Double Folding Stock , what do you think about the Mad Dog Clone? Or should i buy the Original?

I had the Strike Dual Fold on my GK1 and it worked great. But, the Maddog clone looks almost identical to me.

The Strike had the ability to quickly remove the stock by pressing both pins at the same time. This was nice if you wanted to shoot as a regular pistol, although it still had the adapter on it. I didn't notice that option demonstrated with the Maddog, but could be mistaken.

Ruger  Recoil in a spring piston break barrel

Is the recoil changed by using lighter or heavier pellets? Lighter pellets lighter recoil, heaver pellets heavier recoil? Does that recoil change the point of impact from the point of aim? Again, I am shooting a spring piston break barrel. Trying to get tighter and more consistent groups.
Probably, but in the case of an airgun it would most like not be noticeable. In the case of powder burners, discounting weight of the gun, recoil is a function of bullet weight and the weight of the powder charge. The powder charge is also propelled down the barrel as it burns. With a spring air gun the only thing that should change is the pellet weight, the weight of air being compressed is the same, assuming barometric pressure remains the same, but again probably of not much consequense.

Tuning  Adjust regulator down at low pressures

You'll find that's platform-dependent... I would say most airguns you can't, and a handful you can (I can with my Epoch). I wouldn't try it until you know fer sure or you could be replacing parts...
My Avenger and Rainson Edge do not want you to decrease pressure in the regulator while there is pressure in the gun. The Avenger's manual is pretty explicit about it. My FX Dreamline will let you raise or lower the regulator pressure while there is pressure in the gun. I read it in the manual five or six times before I finally believed it, and it still makes me a little queasy to turn it down while pressurized.

Other  CZ Slavia 634 shot cycle and trigger

There is a method to improve the trigger pull, but only for an experienced shooter and only in certain situations. You pull the trigger with the safety engaged, pull the safety button out when ready to fire and the result is a decent single stage let off. I read about this method when I had one and it works, though the shooter must be aware and mindful (as always!)
I never warmed up to mine and gave it to a buddy who probably never shoots it.

MAFTA First Match ....... Thanks!

So, after that very respectable first match in ten years score of 78% +, is the USFT still for sale? 😁
Yeah sadly. I just am not comfortable shooting it. I can shoot it if needed, but still don't feel comfortable doing so.

So you know it will shoot ;) All the missed shots I called after the trigger pull. I knew they would miss from a flinch or just my crappy shooting.
