Airgun Technologies  Is Vulcan 3 HP a new category of rifle?

I tried the HP models in .30 some weeks ago :)

Here i am shooting at 150 meters in very strong wind:

The guns are powerfull enough... AGN does not give much info about changes, but what i got is:
new regulator set at 200 bar and stronger hammer spring !

Maybe today or tomorrow I'll try the .25 models !
If that is all it is you could do this to the original v3. I know talon tunes sells a power tuned .30 that produces 100 fpe with a 500 mm compact barrel. Crazy.

RAW Rapid  In line external plenum for RAW HM1000X pics included

A US based user asked me to make an inline plenum for his longer stock RAW HM1000X. But I didn't have complete specs of his after market stock.

Whatever was provided to me, I made the plenum according to those specs.

He got the chance now to install it but found that there are some differences in actual specs of stock due to which the initially sent plenum is useless.

Now I plan to make one more as now I have got better specs.

Pics are hereunder.

Morning all - as a proud Owner of an hm1000x I am looking for advice. My goal is to swap from the buddy bottle system onto a main tube modification for the air reservoir. This way I get a rifle that matches my other target rifles and also gives way to being able to fully shroud the barrel also without need for threaded moderator on the end.

Who can offer advice on having a main tube made to fit and replacing the buddy bottle altogether. I’ve scoured the net for days to no avail
Kind regards

Mav

Where to find an eye cup for a 44m ocular?

Are ya looking for one of these?
OR....
Mike

In the links above $46 (tax included!) or $19,99 via the second link, that's a steal! Of your money, that is...
I know it's a free world and all, but this seems ridiculous.

(note: I'm NOT bashing Revoman here, he's just the messenger, and he made the search for the item a little easier.)

The stores behind the above links seem like a ripoff, see below...

Beginner question: blister vs tin

Thanks for the warning on Amazon and Midway. I had thought about trying Amazon. Airgun depot packages their stuff really well. Each tin is surrounded by foam, plastic wrapped, and they fit very tight in the shipping boxes, if it is just store rack I see no reason to bother. Not trying to sponsor them or anything, just given you a place you could try.

I have tried some JSBs and found them to be hit or miss. The Exact RS and Hades I got from them are great. The RS turned out very good in my rifle. The Monster redesign not so much, 37% of them were over or under weight, wasn't very impressed by the accuracy of the ones in spec ether. I also got a sampler from JSB. And they are extreamly bad, about half had damaged skirts, I blame them having a plastic "tin" instead of metal. I do have some H&N Hunter Extreams, haven't tested them very much but they seemed good from the little time I used them. Have not tryied any Crosman yet, I'll keep them in mind.
I also have a tin of JTS Dead Centers (the ones I linked), only 9 of those were outside spec. I have yet to shoot them. If they are good I planned on buying more, hense this thead.

Sorry for the side track.

Norica  Need advice

I own a Norica Deadeye GRS .22 and it's not one bit bad a rifle. Action in the ZRS system is a Norica Hawk if memory serves.
As mentioned, not many reviews but obvious returns for the refurbs that have also been available for awhile now.
Maybe if they were less than half the prices they're asking I'd consider one.

How do different barrel lengths affect accuracy?

IMO - all of the comments are somewhat correct but only to a point... there are so many factors that affect a barrels ability to be accurate that you can't just assign one attribute like the length... or harmonics etc..to make a absolute statement of fact. Additionally PB’s are generally pushing a much heavier weight at a much higher speed and rotational forces will be much different.
@Ballisticboy would probably like this thread....

Best scope for backyard plinking and targets ?

On an R9 for target shooting and plinking I’d go for a 4-16x if you are doing a lot of offhand shooting or hunting/posting and a 6-24x if you’re doing more serious target shooting. An R9 is accurate enough to take advantage of the higher magnification. As to what brand, I’ve heard the Westhunters are a good value.

Shooting in NW Houston/Cypress?

When I started into "adult" airgunning 25 years ago, there was Rebel Arms down in S. Houston. Then I moved to the country and had all the space I needed (man I wish I still had that place!) Next was Yegua airgun club and a little backyard range at my house. Up until a few years ago, I'd make the trek down to Pearland Sportsman Club (PSC) but that drive all the way across Houston got old fast.

Now I'm square in the middle of the Houston suburbs and I have a safe full of awesome airguns, springers, pre charged, ssp... but nowhere to shoot. I can get in 17 yards in my backyard, but I'm not sure how understanding my neighbors would be... all I do these days is buy and sell, tinker a bit, maybe shoot air pistols across the garage.

Anyone in the Cypress area with a place to shoot? I've even considered trying to find a cheap place to rent to use as a shop and airgun range! I know there is Bayou Rifles, but the waiting list is decades long, and the few times I've been out there as a guest, it was always uncomfortable...

I don't want to compete. My FT, silhouette and bench rest days are behind me I think. But I do want to actually shoot these things!

AEA 95 Cal

I don’t think that it’s likely that I’ll ever get one, but if I do I imagine l’ll opt for the 7000 psi version but will tune it to run at 4500 psi with the reg set significantly lower than that. It would be nice to have the option to shoot it at full power just to say you did, but who’s going to want to wait for a compressor to fill it to 7000 psi for every shot? At 4500 psi you could get quite a few shots with a few SCBA tanks especially if you cascaded them or ran it tethered.
Bin claims in the video the 2500gr slug is going 820fps, yes you could go lighter but it sounds to me like they may have increased the caliber a bit ahead of the power provided by the hammer spring/valve/transfer port. I’d imagine such a big slow slug would have one loopy trajectory so I’d want to keep it fast if possible.

Looks like AEA needs to poach some engineers off of one of those air cannon pumpkin chunking teams…

Crosman  CROSMAN ICON SAFETY RECALL!!

I have asked but no one with a BARRA states they have the bump fire. I have bought many parts from BARRA as the 1100z has alot of the same internal parts as the ICON and BEEMAN RAIDER. The mags- valves- hammer springs all the same. Barrels are about 1 inch longer . Waiting on BARRA to purchase some of the hammers from the 1100z.

Pellets smaller than .177

Odd you would have same issue with two very different airguns. On common factor is that both are old. What is the condition of the breach seals? What is the condition of the piston seals? Is it possible neither airgun is producing enough pressure to propel the pellets unless they are very loose in the bore?
Thanks, I will try to see what happens the seals look good, I have a second model 6 that shoots great I'm going to switch barrels and see if a pellet will shoot through that way.

FX  Shot count of current FX Impact side-shot style mags shipping with the M3.

The .25 is a 25 shot mag. The .22 is a 28 shot mag. I have both in front of me on my desk as I type.
Thanks for taking the time to verify it and reply. That clears up my question about .25 cal. Can anyone out there confirm the shot count of the current .177 M3 magazines that are shipping? Thanks so much!

Anyone using this TOAUTO moisture filter?

My cheaper Fastobuy has a separate o-ring on the outside of the media housing to force all HP condensate to the inside of the filter and through the 3A Molecular Sieve Desiccant Beads / cotton media. I see where the user may have water creep without any visible block on the input end?

My CS2 will pump a near tablespoon of condensate into the water trap/gap on my filter. When I open the input side, water pours out but outside plastic media tube is dry, only the first stage cotton is slightly damp, which is pulled to dry.

I ask as the Toauto, while expensive, looks to be good build quality but not sure of any water creep if you’re a user.

Pard NV008SLRF laser RF alignment and software update needs Windows not a Mac?

It seems like you've just received your NV008SLRF and have some technical questions. For zeroing the laser and firmware updates, it's common to need a Windows machine, as many devices require specific software that's Windows-compatible. If you're using a Mac, you might need to find a workaround like using virtualization software or borrowing a Windows PC for these tasks. As for Windows operating system keys, if you're looking to upgrade or resolve software issues, https://digitalchillmart.com/product/windows-11-pro-32-64-bit/ offers affordable options like Windows 11 Pro, which might be useful for your needs.

Traditional Rifle  SOLD Sold, pending funds! MM Fully Tuned XS25S in .22 + over 2500 pellets

Hello,

Up for sale is my Mike Melick Fully Tuned XS25S in .22 cal (New is $270 with full tune and second screw trigger mod).

The gun has Mike's full tune which includes buttoned piston and top hat plus the trigger screw mod for full adjustment and all the magic Mike puts into his guns! The rifle comes with a UTG one piece mount and a Centerpoint 4-16x40 AOIR scope.

I am also including 2 sealed tins (1000 count) of JSB Jumbo RS 13.43 grain, 1 sealed tin of JSB Express Diablo 14.35 grain (500 count), 1 sealed tin of Falcon 13.43 grain (500 count), 1 open tin of JSB Jumbo RS 13.43 grain (about 460ish pellets) and 1 open tin of JSB Express Diablo 14.35 grain (80ish pellets)

I have put about 750+ rounds through the rifle and it has been a joy to shoot. The best groups have been with JSB Jumbo RS in 13.43 grain and the JSB Jumbo Express in 14.35 grains. I have chronied the 13.43 around 700 fps and this rifle just gobbles them up with great accuracy.

The front sight neon insert is missing. No idea when it came out. Otherwise the gun is in flawless condition with no dings on the stock or metal.

I am getting rid of this rifle because I made the plunge into PCP's and do not shoot this as much as it deserved to be shot.

I will sell the entire package for $220 shipped to your door (CONUS). The rifle will ship in the original box that it came in from Mike @ Flying Dragons.

I will accept PP F&F, Zelle, Vemo, or USPS Money Order.

Send me a PM if interested or need more pictures
