Diana  Diana 75 HV

To clarify my statement about front sight inserts, and what fits.

Marflow is correct that the 16mm inserts, or old style Walther inserts, fit the 75 front sight regardless of if it is a 75 or a 75 TO1.
The spring loaded insert to hold the stamped element has a very small recess in its front edge that the 16mm insert fits into. The 18mm inserts will also fit, but they are held centrally by the ID of the front sight globe itself and subject to rotation or misalignment. The 18mm clear acrylic inserts will fit the front sight element holder if they are the ones that have the reduced diameter lip. That reduced diameter lip will recess into the element holder and center the insert.

While the 18mm inserts will work, to be correct, the 16mm inserts are what is intended to be used across the board.

I checked this against my rifle, to be sure that the info was correct, and just as Marflow stated, it is correct.
Sorry for muddying the waters......

Magazine O-rings - Necessary?

a little lubrication works wonders,,, experience is such a good teacher

ya ever try and cut up an old tire with a razor knife? a little WD40 makes it go a LOT smoother,,, as rubber likes to grab hold of metal
remember when you inflated a football/basketball, ya licked the needle to get to go in easier

and a little silicone oil on your magazine's o-ring,,, what about your breech or probe o-rings, ya cut them off also,🤔, 🫣 ,😁

X files

Lot's of fun airgun links to prop rigs & other.
Hard an "Arrow Stealth" (swivelmachineworks) for $600 in '97 found at the archery store. Heck of a fine arrow launcher -as in same point of aim will cost you 1-2 arrows- but NOT a .25 airgun that could hit a shoe box at 20 yards.
Anyway,

Holosun Thermal (DRS-TH) -- and future optical-thermal hybrid scopes

I took the thermal to the range yesterday and gave it a good rundown.

The red-dot portion is pretty much like any Holosun variable-reticle red-dot. I like how you can "roughly" zero the thermal reticle by setting it to match the red dot. I find you can't get them quite perfectly matched this way as the human eye can't discern such fine variations. But you can get pretty close by matching the two.

Interestingly I find I shoot a little better with the green thermal site than the red dot. Maybe that's my mild astigmatism causing that problem.

Optics  SOLD Nice Element Helix 6-24 SFP MRAD

Stepped down to a little UTG 4-16 which better suits my informal needs. This scope is like new, with the faintest of scope ring marks (you can see them in the photo) and comes with the box and all the papers and accessories. It also comes with a JDS Custom nautilus parallax wheel made to fit the Helix parallax knob, plus the scope level he includes with his wheels. $300 shipped insured.
