Diana  Brass Muzzle Cap for Globe Sights - Diana T06

it is an interesting idea but
Anschutz, FWB, and Diana globe sights are 9mm+ or -
the Air Venturi globe is 11mm
and i am not sure about the Daisy
the 9mm sights are hard to find and are in the 40 to 75 buck range depending on inserts
the AV is 25 bucks at PA is made of plastic and takes Anschutz 17.2mm inserts
and the AV sight like to turn white over a very short time but will clean up

the right way to go would be 9mm but the easiest for the buyer would be 11mm
todays Diana 350 mag would take a 9mm and also 15.9mm inserts like the old model 75 and the 150 and 300 FWB and old Walthers

not much opinion but some info
Thanks! Making it 11mm isn’t any harder than making it 9mm, so 11mm it is

HogKillers Ground Squirrel season is officially OPEN

Went out today, Monday 3.16.24 to my permission, got there early with 3 of my rifles, the Mav,. .25, the Mav compact .22 and the Raptor .25, set up a target at 65 yards and let fly, I was using JSB 33.95's in both of the .25's and some Hades in the .22, in the yard I couldn't get the slugs to play well, got hitting the little target well with all 3 then tried 22gr RMK hybrids and got it working well. Squirrels started coming out at the 50 yard and 56 yard areas, so I took the .22 over. Lined up on one and THUNK but it ran off. Lined up on another and THUNK, it ran off. We saw some others further out 93 yds, came close but no prize. Then another popped up back where we were originally, it as on the other side of the fence with just the shoulders and head showing, waited for passing cars and bicycles and off it went and down it went. I think I have a video, have to look later after hauling grand kids around.

Sadly no video, the trigger cam didn't record.

AEA  Insane pump-action PCP

Not a big fan of AEAs semi-auto lineup and I have no experience with their bolt-actions, but this pump-action Megalodon looks like a beast. 400ft-lb. .50 cal. 8 round mags. It's a proper shotgun, I mean.. damn. No price or release date yet as far as I'm aware. In fact, this seems to be the only video that exists of it so far.

The english presentation starts at 15:30:
Anyone know where to get replacement mags? or the recommended AEA .50 cal slugs? everywhere says they are out of stock.
I order my stuff from Mr. Hollow point and AEA recommends texoma I think is the name of the place. I ordered a 457 and was shipped a 50 cal by mistake. The place that screwed up sent me 100 -235 grain hollow points from the Tacoma place and I got them in my mail box 3 days later. Aside from that you can get .495 round lead balls made for muzzle loaders from Hornady. Those are 12 dollars per 100 shots , that’s like 12 cents a piece and they preform great in the rifle. They can’t shoot their 22’s and 25’s that cheap. Catch those in something and they could be melted down and recast into slugs. Air Venturi also makes a .495 185 grain hollow point that does good for 26 dollars for 50 of the pellets, those are more like a wierd pellet rather than a slug. But they shoot pretty good. I like plinking with the Hornady round balls , they cycle through the mag perfectly. Bluegrass bigbore might have spare mags.

Results  Lekatchka FT (Venice, FL) Match Report March 3, 2024

Posted by Gary P. for our Field Target match director, Ron Guiliano, the President of the Archery club.

Hello FT shooters,

Sorry for the delay, it's been a busy week! Attached are the results from our FT match on 3/2. The weather held off and turned out to be a beautiful day. We had 13 shooters who shot the 60 shot match on our new 15 lane course. The course was challenging with a bunch of new shot presentations, including rat bastard and his new friend BAT bastard that was 43 yards out and 14' up on a pole. Thanks to everyone that came out to support us and helped with the clean up. Our next match will be on Saturday April 6thinstead of Sunday. Mark your calendars and hope to see everyone there.

Thx, Ron G AKA EMD2😈

Long Eye Relief Optics for Diana Bandit and Chaser?

I’m finding some recommendations from various sources but would enjoy reading suggestions for long eye relief pistol scopes from fellow air gunners. My candidates are the Diana Bandit, Chaser and P-5. Many thanks!
I also use pistol scopes mounted forward on guns that would be hard to load under normal rifle scope placement

22 vs 25

Another reason to start with a 22 is that most popular airguns seem to be designed as a 22 and then modified a bit to make 177 and 25 calibers. Valve size, size of internal passages, etc. are really designed for a 22 caliber but will work for the others - just not as well. I don't know if high end guns are made this way but I suspect at least some are. It would be too expensive to totally redo the gun by caliber. The consequence is the 25 will be less powerful than a 25 design optimized for the caliber. If you want to shoot 25 grain 25 caliber pellets I don't think it makes a lot of difference. But if you want to shoot 34 grain, it may be challenging to get them up to speed.

I have two 25 caliber PCPs, two 22 caliber, and one 177 caliber PCP. I like 25 caliber but my next gun will probably be another 22 caliber. I see it as the best all around choice. Enough power for clean kills on small game, lots of pellet choices to find one accurate in your gun including pellets unavailable in 25 caliber, and good performance on targets.

Larger calibers do have an advantage on benchrest type target shooting, however, since you need to touch the higher point line for the score. A slightly bigger hole gives you a slightly higher chance of touching the line. IMHO you'd need to be a pretty serious bencrest shooter to buy a gun in this caliber for this advantage.
Very insightful my dude 😎 I know that it's old but I'm pulling hair out with my 357 dynamic. Air hog, less accurate the higher the caliber maybe especially with fx because pencil barrel? Idk f it

Diana  Diana 75 HV

To clarify my statement about front sight inserts, and what fits.

Marflow is correct that the 16mm inserts, or old style Walther inserts, fit the 75 front sight regardless of if it is a 75 or a 75 TO1.
The spring loaded insert to hold the stamped element has a very small recess in its front edge that the 16mm insert fits into. The 18mm inserts will also fit, but they are held centrally by the ID of the front sight globe itself and subject to rotation or misalignment. The 18mm clear acrylic inserts will fit the front sight element holder if they are the ones that have the reduced diameter lip. That reduced diameter lip will recess into the element holder and center the insert.

While the 18mm inserts will work, to be correct, the 16mm inserts are what is intended to be used across the board.

I checked this against my rifle, to be sure that the info was correct, and just as Marflow stated, it is correct.
Sorry for muddying the waters......

Magazine O-rings - Necessary?

a little lubrication works wonders,,, experience is such a good teacher

ya ever try and cut up an old tire with a razor knife? a little WD40 makes it go a LOT smoother,,, as rubber likes to grab hold of metal
remember when you inflated a football/basketball, ya licked the needle to get to go in easier

and a little silicone oil on your magazine's o-ring,,, what about your breech or probe o-rings, ya cut them off also,🤔, 🫣 ,😁
