GX is now the leader of budget compressors ?

I've been using GX CS2's for the past 4 or 5 years. I have no experience with the earlier generations of compressors. I'm fine with the GX. Yes, it's not fast but it's been pretty good value for the money I've put into them.

I'm an airgunner that largely just shoots when it's time to kill pests, and I've killed most of my pests (or they're too shy to walk onto my property, which is good-enough for me). So I'm not a big consumer of compressed air. I have a small and a large SCBA tank. As of late I need to fill them only a couple of times a year.

624 pumps 😱

In mathematical THEORY, a longer lever means less effort, but I sucked at math in school, so ... 😉

Interestingly enough, and that's the only reason I post this, although I HATED Math, my college entry exam Math score was my highest. I can only assume I ingested Math in REM sleep.

My next higher score was in Science, despite the fact the only science that interested me was Physics. That's because Physics is about things I can see, touch, feel and use; and therefore, relate to and (somewhat) understand. I consider Physics Reality; as opposed to sciences that relate to invisible things. 🫥

Point is I can assure you with some level of confidence that longer levers = greater leverAGE = less effort.

However, given my aversion to Math, I'll not delve any deeper into that equation. 😂

RAW Rapid  AEA pellets in .25 cal RAW HM1000X question

Of the two AEA pellets, which shot better--29.5g or 33.9g? Which pellet over all others shot best at 45?
My rifle is modified. I removed the stock regulator and added the RAW 35cc plenum, Huben Power Dream Universal Regulator and a 1.1L bottle.

What works for me may not work for you. I was also looking for which pellet was the most consistent and accuracy was secondary. Given this is a HM1000x accuracy is a given.

The AEA were a toss up.
I will keep fiddling with the tune but will probably go with the 33.9 as I have a lot of JSB and the AEA.

The H&N and JTS looked just as good. I can't go down and measure as I had minor foot surgery. So no climbing around on the creek bank.

28 grain HP slugs

When I used to reload my own ammo for my .308 I learned too much speed can be detrimental. Like blowing up a balloon then let go it flies all over the place. Try something a little slower like 920.
I did, they group poorly at lower FPS. 1000FPS and above they are tight and the velocity is much more consistent. I saw the same thing with the Max 1.

My Journey to Airgun Nation Forum

Welcome!! I got back into airguns a few years ago with my old Crosmans, had them rebuilt. Twenty something guns later I have multiples bought with a purpose in mind. If you have a general shooting distance in mind work around that. I have two Gauntlets in .25 that would do well out to 70 yards or so that I’ve tested at that range. Got a couple break barrels that would work. I have a restored Crosman 150 in .22 that gives about 50 rounds on a pair of CO2 cartridges. All of these would work and require minimal support gear so less crap to haul around. There’s no end to the possibilities but bankruptcy could be a problem. You’ll be able to deal with the problem at hand and have a lot of fun doing it.

Are glass optics becoming obsolete?

Regarding GLASS (literally) becoming obsolete -- it is possible that mirrors will SOMEDAY replace glass. Think about a Newtonian telescope with a camera sensor in place of the eyepiece and, instead of the eyepiece hole being at the side of the scope -- picture a hole in the center of the primary mirror so that the camera sensor is attached to the rear (bottom) of the telescope. The advantage of mirrors (reflecting light) over light passing through glass (bending light) is that there is practically no light transmission loss. Perhaps more importantly, there would be zero prism effect -- meaning that chromatic aberration would not exist with mirrors. Another possible advantage is that, someday, light weight materials will be able to be precisely shaped and then coated with a shiny material to form the curved mirror surface.

Regarding the use of camera sensors and digital "stuff", yeah -- that's definitely going to increase.

N/A  White Powder

Rather harsh isn't it. Lead will corrode over time. I used to and still sometime cast bullets. Now they have probably around 10% tin content. When they come out of the mold they are very shiney. I have some that are over 50 years old and they are a somewhat dark gray now and eventually I would not be surprised if they develope a white film. I have seen old "antique" ammo with lead bullets that are a powdery white. Those were boxed in oak boxes and oak tannins will tend to make lead oxidize rather fast.
Personally I would spray them with some silicone, get a good coating and that should stop any further oxidation for a very long time.
Of course it is not harsh. It's truthful. We do not know who left the pellets in the weather. The OP did not say, Why do you think it's harsh?

Filter upgrade

Vevor produces several HPA compressor platforms, downside of the rectangular box, high-speed fan cooled, multi-power, oil-less, waterless, high-speed filling compressors is a limited 12-18 month lifespan. Pressurizing any larger filter will use up some of that time. Since GX is part of future plans see no reason not to use a GX filter on Vevor till then. WM
I put the GX filter on a shoebox Vevor compressor and its working fine so far.

DNT Zulus V2 best price currently?

Really terrible experience with panda tactical so far. No further communication after trying multiple emails. I'm not even sure how to cancel my order since I get no reply. I guess I'll have to dispute with PayPal. I'll be ordering from someone else.
Sniperhoglights is a great company if you got outside of DNT.

Niksan  I'm "learning" on the elf.

LOVE the AirForce utility platform. The easiest and simplest platform to modify. So few moving parts, especially under pressure. And oh do they like a plenum. No pesky poppet valve, transfer port or right turns. Just a straight shot from plenum to pellet.

High flow valve, heavy spring, heavy hammer, Huben Power Cricket MAX-ATH and a 24 inch barrel. You can get .22 Barracuda Match supersonic.
My max distance from back deck to chicken coop is 45ish yards, so I don't shoot far, just catch them cutting across outta the woods with my night scope, and hammer down lights out.

Help picking out regulator?

No, he is looking to regulate the air coming out of a Benjamin tank he has to feed into Texan SS , presumably in a tethered manner. . . but it sure is confusing because he never used the word "tank," but it is the only thing that makes sense - Benjamin never made a 4500 psi gun, and even if they did it would difficult to use it to feed air to a Texan . . .
Yeah, reading closer with both eyes I see that. Regulated tank fill valves are pretty rare. Huben Power has an excellent one but they make some and a day later they are sold out (never made it in time). There was one on AliExpress (I have 2) but after the great reduction on offerings there due to tariffs it appears no longer acailable.
