Sheridan  Sheridan Bluestreak Reseal Issues, Not pumping up....

Checked it this morning after putting 8 pumps in it last night and it sounded like a full pressure release to me (LOUD!).
I'm saying that it seems good to go....but I also said that the last time I resealed it and after a while it failed....so, I'll have to shoot it more to get a better picture on it's health.
Thanks again for all of the input and suggestions AGN'ers!

Mike
Thats awesome. Thank for the followup.

HW/Weihrauch  Walnut hw97 are in at aoa...

I was sent some pics from a different gun by staff at AOA, and it's exactly the same as mine. It didn't look normal to me at first, but now I'm not sure.

The majority of the trigger guard rests on the front and sides (wood) in the stock. The rear screw needs very little torque past snug. If the rear screw is over tightened it will affect how the trigger works in my experience.

1st starling in months

Shot two the other day crouched with my .30 Maverick tuned with the older style soft lead 62gn Varmint Knockers around 950FPS. First one was a body shot at a big boy just under 30y. Clean pass through with no blood whatsoever.

Second one was at the edge of my yard in tall grass 70y out. Got him with a head shot that made a loud pop that echoed. That one off the top of its skull. Photos are pretty gruesome.

Traditional Rifle  SOLD SOLD - HW55M - SOLD

HW55M Completely restored. SOLD New seals (new piston seal is leather but I the conversion to synthetic which will be included). Re-blued by Precision Bluing (Mark Smith) to factory new condition. You may notice that the stampings on the breech block are very light - that's the way it came originally from Weihrauch. Match grade Record trigger with factory polished sears, etc. Second stage is very light indeed! New spring from Jim Maccari. I will include the original spring which looks to be in good condition. Bore is bright and gun shoots as it should but needs to be broken in as I have only fired it a dozen times. I personally re-finished the stock with at least 2 dozen coats (I lost track - took several months to complete) of hand rubbed Napiers London Oil. The photos speak for themselves. Beautiful. I'm looking for a good home for it to reside but reluctant to part with it. Recent health issues have forced me to thin out my collection - all of which are very fine. I prefer PayPal F&F or a personal check, certified check, or money order. I will pack this airgun for shipping to CONUS only with the utmost care. Buyer and I will split the shipping charges and I reserve the right to sell to whom ever I choose. Feel free to PM me.

Introduce myself

No I'm down in Louisiana.
I got the Avanti from Airguns of Arizonas recent "Pe-Owned" sale. The 717, and 747, were both gifts, from awesome freinds, and the 7 lever guns were from Academy. 👍
As my old man would have said, Louisiana ain't that far. It's a short walk if you run! Lol If you ever get on YouTube, check out Daisy lever gun fun.
Stay safe. Russ

DAR  DAR Gen 3 regulator?

If you haven’t already done so, the first step with a typical regulated PCP is to adjust the hammer spring tension to be in harmony with the regulator setpoint. To do that, start by finding the velocity plateau…the maximum achievable velocity. In half turn increments, increase the hammer spring tension (HST) until the velocity no longer increases. On a DAR, the adjuster is the large cap at the back of the receiver…when you turn it clockwise, you’re squeezing the hammer spring, putting more preload on it.

You should reach a point where continuing to increase HST does not produce any meaningful increase in velocity. And then once you’ve found the max, dial it back to about 97% of the maximum. So let’s say it tops out at 940fps, dial it back to about 940*0.97 = 912fps.

When adjusted in this manner, the extreme spread will tighten up. If for some reason it’s still not acceptable, report back and we can help guide you toward other things to check.
I have not done that. I've left it exactly the same as I received it with the exception of adding a scope. Hopefully, I'll have some time tomorrow to fiddle with it. Thanks!
