N/A  Why PCP airguns are so expensive?

The basic elements yes, but the implimentation of them into a new product, not so much.
But not having to invent the basic elements is a huge cost saver and makes new products an order of magnitude better. Imagine having to reinvent things like sidelever cocking, cylinder magazines, regulators, plenums and as likely as not getting them wrong the first half dozen times.

Air Venturi  Avenge X Pros and Cons of this gun in a .25 classic wood stock

I’ve been listening and reading a lot about this gun. This is going to be my second gun. My first gun I really had a lot of enjoyment with, again it was a .25 had a few problems and I would like to move onto this one. One question was do I really need the larger fill bottle? But I’m thinking as proactive as I can with future problems, would I be better off with this fill bottle being that my fill pressure will be much less than the top recommended fill capacity of the fill tube?

I have seen that there have been problems with people on this form that have received guns that were broken at time of delivery.
From the videos that I’ve seen this gun will give me much more distance, shooting than I am accustomed to 75 to 100 yards would be incredible to have in my back pocket.

Am I better off with this traditional stock or is there any advantages with having the tactical look/design?
I am very open for any disagreements and discussions where you think I’m going wrong. I want to do all my homework before I invest into another gun.

Again as a new air gunner, I appreciate everything that you guys have done for me in this last year and a half.

The prettiest bird in Denmark, the kingfisher, got to be dynamic as it can deal with the rapid transition from air to water.
But it would seem it do not fold in its guidance kit before the literally last moment.

FX  FX Dream Tact - accessory/adapter question

Hey everyone ... after speaking to DonnyFL about an adapter for the 20mm shroud, they are going to machine down the 2.5" adapter to fit my 20mm shroud! They did say it will be bare metal, but with some etching primer and some satin black I can make it look factory once it arrives.

2 emails and a phone call and I'm getting exactly what I need! Shout out to Izzy who called me and is doing the machining!

This lot includes:
- 1 FX STX Superior liner
- 1 FX STX slug liner
- 1 tin Crosman PowerShot Red Flight Penetrator (unopened/new)
- 1 tin JSB Knock Out Slugs (unopened/new)
- 1 box .217 NSA 24.8g slugs (unopened/new)
- 1 box .217 NSA 27.5g slugs (unopened/new)
- 1 original METAL FX Side-Shot magazine
- FX .22 barrel fittings
- FX .22 pellet probes
- FX OEM Impact hammer spring

Sorry but I am not interested in splitting the parts up and selling individually. I'm not sure what shipping would be but I cannot imagine it would be more than $15... OOPS, wait a minute I forgot that we are currently "Building Back Better!!" so maybe it would be $20 for shipping...

These parts were taken off of a MK2 impact I purchased a while back from another AGN member and immediately converted it to a .25 caliber. If my memory serves the STX slug liner like the slugs is new and unused!!

Your welcome to call or txt me directly at 847.715.6944 if you have any additional questions.

Benjamin  Looking for 25 caliber marauder stock (almost) tune info

I have a new 25 caliber marauder that is stock except for I'm adding the Airguns of AZ free flight hammer kit. I'd like to hear from those who have marauders and have only tuned with the hammer spring and transfer port adjustments. I'm hoping to get two mags at or near full power. Let me know what you are getting from yours.

Thank you for the replies in advance!

barrel polishing..

The intention is to remove miniscule amounts of metal - think of it as the undesirable debris left from any machining operation. To that end, you use abrasives which are so mild that actual, destructive, damage is pretty much out of the question.

GsT

I use medium grit lapping compound and do remove metal with great affect.

No tooling leaves a fine finished surface, chatter, harmonic oscillations in tooling will leave unwanted ridges, burrs etc on the surface. Reducing the friction across these surfaces causes less galling and less sloughing of metals.

Removal of knife edges on rifling is not a bad thing, pellets and slugs conform better to a smooth surface than the serrated-like edge a sharp land shoulder provides.

PCP Rifle  NLA F/X Impact MK II 600mm .22, 2mags, high flow port and probe and F/X impact case.

Excellent condition F/X impact mk2 600mm .22. It fires 18.1 jsb all i to the same hole at 50yds and the same with H&N 23g .217 at a 32fpe setting. I am looking to trade for another Impact, Panthera Compact, Delta Wolf, Brk Ghost, Krait compact in .177 slugger that can do 35-40fpe in .177
Thanks Scott

N/A  .

Is there any videos out there to compare this effect? efficiency vs flex? Are the harmonics an issue or do they just have to be tuned differently on a longer barrel?
I'm looking at an FX bullput and wondering if 700mm is worth it over 500.
One more question, how much quieter is a longer barrel tuned to keep the power the same (more air expansion, less pop)?
