Beeman  Beeman bearcub/ webley vulcan terrible trigger

I may be the only person on earth who thinks this, but I don't mind that trigger at all for a sporting rifle. Yes, a single-stage with some weight and a bit of creep, but smooth with predictable let-off once settled in.

Webleys in general - like many classic mechanical objects of the pre-digital age - are made to "wear in" with time and use (remember when new cars came with speed limits, etc., for the break-in period?). Set the adjuster to your preference and carry on, the trigger will be better next year (seriously)! 🙂
There is no reason to tolerate a creepy Vulcan trigger. Back the screw out until it's gone. Carefully test the setting by striking the butt with a rubber mallet to ensure it won't bump fire. If you want to improve on that take the trigger and sear out and lightly stone the surfaces. Or try a lighter spring. I did not find replacing the spring to be necessary.

heads up on button cell batteries

Meh, we use them all over the place where I work, rarely do we see one even bulge and never had a fire or equipment destruction from one.

Large batteries, pouches and packs are closely monitored for voltage dropps, allowing for removal before they cause problems.

Thank you for the reminder to check dates, I'll do that today.

Other  Best shipping method for a heavy springer?

It's really unbelievable when you consider how well they get paid and all the time off, benefits, etc.

Can't tell me it's a tech problem, it's a lazy people problem. They just don't even bother to scan packages half the time. I've also noticed an uptick in the wrong mail getting delivered to me, or showing up way later than the dates on some of my house bills.

Can't really do much besides bend over and take it up the tail pipe!
You can cancel most all paper bills and receive them on your phone, the less that comes in the mailbox the better IMO. I agree lazy, incompetent and entitled. Not all, but a big number of workers these days have no pride in what they do. I see it everyday.

PCP Rifle  SOLD Daystate Air Ranger .25cal with upgraded 480cc CF Bottle

Up for sale is a .25 Daystate Air Ranger. I am selling because I realized I like bullpups and bought a FX Wildcat MK3 BT to replace this powerhouse.

The gun is in mint condition minus some handling marks on the custom full barrel shroud (see pictures). It will come with 1 factory mag, 4 CARM mags ($140), O-Ring Kit, Spare Aluminum 500cc bottle and option to buy it with Hawke Sport Optics Sidewinder Tactical 8.5-25x42mm Side Focus Riflescope and scope rings. Price below is with and without scope/rings depending on what you choose.

The rifle has been upgraded with a 480cc CF bottle ($150 from AoA), this upgrade results in a really well balanced rifle while also reducing weight. I will include the 500cc aluminum bottle you can use as a spare (pictured below).

The gun has maybe 900 to 1000 rounds through it and it has been flawless in function. The rifle holds air indefinitely and has no leaks, though I am including an O-ring Kit (picture below) that I purchased from AoA but never needed. The gun is currently shooting JSB 25.39 pellets at an average of 940 fps and JSB 33.95 at an average of 850 fps.

This Daystate Air Ranger is fitted with the new Harper Mk4 valve for a high shot capacity, ambidextrous high grade walnut stock with a superb oiled finish, it is a beautiful old school rifle built with high quality materials.

Gun new listed for $1500 and scope for $500.

Will ship in a hard case and boxed.

Asking $1050 shipped/insured in the CONUS with scope and rings, 5 mags, O-Ring Kit, Spare Aluminum Bottle OR $850 without scope and rings.

Accepting PayPal with fees or friends and family, or postal money order.

You can look up positive feedback on my eBay account as I do not have much history on this forum: https://www.ebay.com/usr/anpusainc

Thanks for looking.

Pictures below with the 480cc CF Bottle and scope with rings.

HW/Weihrauch  What Kind of HW Sight is This?

Anyone think that base is designed to fit on a Weihrauch break barrel breech block?
Maybe a new version that does not require machining of the depression used on the older guns: saves machining costs?
I wouldn't discount anything, but the sight leaf and notch appear to be of the older variety. Came with a few other parts that were of a similar vintage.

FX  Any interest in a Multi Caliber SST for FX Crown/Dreamline/Maverick/DRS?

Just some random thoughts.
1. $1K - $2K guns and your trying to save a few bucks on an SSL?
2. All these guns take the same SSL (Crown, Maverick, Wildcat, Dreamline), so one in each caliber and you can swap them around freely.
3. Buying a .30 cal. multi will not guarantee no drilling to fabricate your own because the .30 cal. insert has to be bigger than a .30 cal. chamber.
4. For me, it would be easier to keep track of a complete SSL than those small inserts, but I'm not all that organized so YMMV.
5. I didn't see that CARM offers the inserts separately.
