Mighty Hoodie from Airstrike factory

Nice print.
But i dislike hoodies, actually anything you have to pull over your head to get on, but decades of practice have made T-shirts and regular sleeved shirts acceptable,,,,, well aside for turtle necks.
I would like to see a new shirt print from Zan every year, maybe make it a competition to design it.
As is i have 2 green and 1 grey Zan T-shirt, and thats +1 CUZ Zan sent me another green when i first ordered a grey one.

FX  M3 impact compact .25 tune

use a chrono, and watch the ernest impact tuning vid.

i have a compact .25,
at one time i was running 34gn jsb at 870fps getting 50 shots a fill.

another time i setup regular 25gn kings at 900fps for 75-80 shots give or take a fill.

i can switch pellets/speeds and tune in 15min,
and use less than a full magazine of pellets to do it,

learn HOW to tune it,
and understand what the adjustments actually do.

the impact is very simple to tune once you understand what the adjustments do.

the macro and micro adjust knobs do the exact same thing they just do it in different increments
(both merely adjust the hammer spring tension)

the valve adjustment under the bottle is used after setting the hammer spring adjustment,
it has a bumper in it to help the valve close faster after the blast of air,
which translates to less wasted air after the shot, and a quieter gun.

Results  Southwest Airgunners Silhouette and Field Target match reports, Duncan AZ April 2024

Thanks.

Colben's interest has waned a bit lately so very little practice from him. He shot a 33/60. Quite respectable, considering.

Cabe shot from bipod for the first time during the match. He's been fighting that tripod for about a year. We've been putting blocks under his feet to get his knees high enough for elbow contact. He shot the first lane like that and was frustrated so we decided to try the bipod on the second lane. MUCH BETTER. First time he's tried the bipod and it worked really well. So he used it that way for 9/10 lanes. This is also the first time he's been able to complete the course without losing his cool. So he shot the entire course. Tough course for a 6 year old. He was clicking the scope, which made him Unlimited, otherwise he was all Hunter class legal on those 9/10 lanes.

All three of us shared the .20 Veteran in the aluminum chassis stock. Worked really well.
Its a shame i hope colbin doesnt go like my grandsons they all would rather do it on a screen than for real.

Posted for David Slade:

Well a few of our regulars couldn't make it, but to make up for that, Harold and Cliff came out to play, despite the stronger winds predicted, it wasn't as bad as promised. Harold had a new excuse I can add to my 101 field target excuses list, he now has a new lense in his eye, and that along with his new to him scope, he was using the previous owners parallax wheel numbers, that didn't work out too well for him. I on the other hand borrowed and excuse Harold used a few years ago on his FTP900, four shots into my first lane, I managed to shoot my flip compensator to bits, thereby changing my POI dramatically, so fittingly we both shot the same score for the day, pretty good showing considering Hariold hasn't been out to shoot for two years, he said he will try to make it out to more events this year, lets hope so, the more the merrier!

Mike really made a point of showing the difference between high power and WFTF power levels in the wind, he shot the high score for the day, maybe I should break out my high power Vanquish?? Also worth mentioning, Brad, still working out the bugs on his new set up, shot a very credible 50, even after getting to the couse in the 6 am hour and cleared lanes and made the course a zero cold line shoot!

Next match is set for May 11th, I know Cliff will be away, but I hope to see some more of you old regulars come out to have fun, its the most fun you can have with your clothes on!!

Other  Looking for a F-Class type Bi-Pod for PCP

The Tier One bipod is at the other end. it's about 450 but is very wide and rigid.

I have a Tier one, Aluminum not the carbon fiber pricey but worth every penny and I use mine on a Skout as well you need something stout for that baby! But I don’t need a folding bipod though so it’ worth every penny.

Ruger #1 scope recommendation? Sorry it's a PB but trust y'all's opinion.

Father in law has a stainless Ruger #1 in 22-250 with the factory 1" rings.
He will mostly shoot benchrest to 200yds.
I'm trying to find a most appropriate scope for him.
It has to be American or European made. $500 budget
What's y'all's opinion?
Best choice for 500.00 is a used name brand. You need to give a bit more info. Does he want variable or fixed power. Is blued or matt ok or does he want silver. How much minimum power. Ok would advise looking in AccuratevShooter classifieds but to buy off there you need to join and I think have 10 posts, all quick and simple to do. Have you checked Dvor for sales.

Pistol Class

My rifle and pistol competitions are staged on the same (one) course and (ten) lanes, but I do (usually) separate the rifle and pistol matches. Even that creates some issues; including as many as twice the number of targets, target reset lines, and target covers per (sometimes crowded) lane.

I also allow shooters to shoot any air rifle or pistol in any of my (non-Grand Prix or championship) rifle or pistol matches, long as the airgun doesn't exceed the power limit for that particular match. Of course only shooters abiding by all rules of a competition are eligible for awards.

Trust me, I'm doing everything I can think of to encourage participation; not just in rifle and pistol Field Target competitions, but airgunning and shooting. That said, I sometimes have to take a break from beating my head against the wall 😵‍💫... but otherwise remain undeterred.🥴

Those 'efforts' have borne fruit. For instance, everyone that shoots any pistol field target discipline... and Maggyy (pictured below in my arms).

Thank you for your interest and suggestions L, I appreciate it.(y) Consider this an open invitation to any of my TEXtreme matches. We have great fun and camaraderie.:D

Happy shooting, Bud.

I really appreciate your input. I just wish I lived closer to y'all. You're the kind of people I like to be around. Best Regards, Bill

N/A  HW 35 SLING

These are not my words, these are famous quotes from life...If swivels are added to an expensive shotgun, the price of that gun drops. Yes I’m not a hunter, I just love guns.
I agree that most sling swivels do affect the value and really the aesthetics of a fine shotgun though I have seen some pretty nice European guns that come from the builder with swivels. Like everything....beauty is definitely in the eye of the beholder. Have a good evening!

FX  Drs classic 700

The Panthera 700 is all slugs
Why doesn't fx make the rifles from the factory to shoot slugs? They KNOW people buying these rifles will typically shoot slugs, if not you can turn the power down. Just another way for them to squeeze money out of people. Same as the barrels they use.....need a carbon liner, then add more things that should be done at the factory.

Especially when you figure what these guns costs.

Accessories  SOLD Mini Lathe 7x10

I moved my mid size lathe to where this mini was. So I figured I would put it on here before I just tuck it away in a corner. I’m not shipping it so you would have to be semi close to me so we could meet and exchange. It has a quick change tool post and a bunch of tool holders. A 3 jaw and 4 jaw chuck. Change gears and probably some extra stuff. It works just fine. $200

HW97 groups

Shot more groups today at the same distance 25yards, just goes to show the gun is more accurate than me. I shot 2 with H&Ns 8.64 (top) and 2 at the bottom AA 10.3gr, what's interesting is the H&Ns are lighter but shot lower, also were a tighter fit. The group in the middle was the AA's. I did adjust the scope for the last group (center). AA's won today.
