Optics  SOLD Hawke 10-50x56 ED scope 1/4 MOA

STILL CLEANING OUT MY SAFE.

$350

These have been one of my favorites for a while.
After reading a review years ago by Percula, I decided it was going to be my first upgrade on optics.
Percula gave the Sidewinder winner status against the Sightron SIII 10-50x56 that so many people love.
Back then these were $800-900 street price.

The Hawke 1050X60 ED Sidewinder is a good scope.
Very Bright!
Good resolution for a high magnification scope. It matches my Golden Eagles on resolution. That surprised me when a friend and i did comparisons this weekend.
Contrast is where the Golden Eagle will win. But hey they are now listing for $2799!

This is a good scope at a great price. I currently have 2 and only need one.

This one has the end caps and 3" sunshade.
It comes with 1/4 MOA turrets, if you prefer 1/8 you can find them on Ebay, I did on my other one.

This one is not quite as clean as my other one, I bought this one about a year ago used and the previous
owner is not a meticulous as I am.
There is wear on the turrets and this does not have the large Parallax wheel or the original box.
But it functions beautifully and just came off of my 25 meter competition gun.

Optics  NLA Aeon 10-40x56 scope

Hi Guys,

Do you need an inexpensive high magnification scope?
This is an Aeon 10-40x 56.
It is my first high magnification scope that I had bought years ago.
I am cleaning out the safe and have upgraded over the years so this should find someone that could use it.

It is a decent scope but wont set the world on fire for image quality.
Think of it as a High Mag UTG scope.

But it served me well when I started shooting bench rest.
It is a moa style reticle and works well for this.

No caps, but has sunshade.

$75

Umarex  Umarex Zelos, how are we feeling?

I'm interested to hear more about this design. Is there a design file for the shroud insert? Are you still considering selling the now shortened Notos? I think that shorty would be a blast for kids with the stock attached! I'm a couple days from being able to send/receive PMs (still too new), but if you're willing to post more about this in the thread, I'd appreciate it. And thanks for sharing!
I sent you a PM, hopefully you can reply and we can talk and share.

N/A  Brass barrels

what is hard about machining titanium? as I remember it was soft similar to aluminum.. but I remember it is hard to weld.
Mark

Titanium is extremely poor at transferring heat, so the heat builds up very quickly and will ruin the part or the tooling unless lots of coolant is used and proper feed rates. It is harder and tougher than some steels, but not quite as hard/tough as many stainless steels. It is in a different universe than aluminum when it comes to machining. Aluminum is among the easiest metal to machine and can even be cut with wood working tools in a pinch.

And Ti is indeed also quite difficult to weld since it becomes very reactive when heated to welding temps, and also due to the poor heat dissipation mentioned above. It often needs to be welded inside of purge gas chambers, but it can be done normally if great care is taken to shield the weld areas on both sides.

Sekhmet M8X1

FX are 1/8 bspp or G 1/8 The Orc air is 1/8 bspp. Unless they began making the M8 as well.
Old thread but happened to see it. Orcair does make an M8...at least now not sure when this thread was fresh. It's on Airguns of Arizonas website for under 50$ I think. It's cr2032 operated tho. Honestly I could care less about that versus rechargeable but I read somewhere that you have to degas the gun and pull the gauge off to change the battery....??...and I'm not into all that but that may be false also I don't know

FX Impact Barrel Touch Up

Over time the cocking block on my FX Impact M3 has worn off the black finish on my barrel. Also, pulling my barrel in and out of the gun has left superficial marks and scratches. Is there a way to touch up or refinish the barrel back to it’s glossy black glory? I’ve thought about using a bluing chemical like Brownell’s 44/40 or Birchwood Super Blue, but I believe those only work on carbon steel. I’m pretty sure the FX Impact barrels are stainless steel.

Let me know if you have any suggestions, thanks
