RAW Rapid  Rapid/RAW block noise

I feel that my RAW with small transfer port at 950fps with 18.13 grain jsb pellets produces very similar sound from the block as a Rapid mk2
Yes, but don’t forget I am not shooting at the same power as you and to be fair, each evolution of the RAPID/RAW rifle has given them a potential to make more power more easily.

Finding a slug to fit my m3 .25 well.

I can start with that I use the king heavy 33.95gr as a referanse since those shoot 1 hole groups at 50m @910fps.

I have tried 28gr, 33gr, 35gr and 37gr from zan in speeds 950 up to 1020 and none of them group as the pellets does at 50m.
I have also tried nsa 43.5gr from 950 to 1000fps and its no Luck there either.

I have 700mm heavy liner tension barrel with carbon sleave.

I hope to get my KO mk2 today so I can try them, my supplier have HN slugs and wildman too but they are super expensive and I have not had any Luck with them in my crown mk2 earlier so I have not orderd them yet.

Would realy like to shoot slugs, but as it is now I get a hell of a lot of shots out of my 480 bottle with 2nd reg at 90bar xD
My m2 is .22 so I really don't know how the .25s would shoot, but the H&N HP2 27gr shoot amazing in my gun at around 960fps. Like you, I like the shot count with the lower reg settings and don't really need the slugs for most plinking I do.

FX  new gun won't accept air, what am I doing wrong? (fx wildcat)

My manual is wrong too, it doesn't have a number listed in bars at all,
but the page of instruction on charging the rifle, it only has instructions for the Mki and the Mkii...
even tho the front of the manual correctly states MKiii !!!

Also, the pictures of the fill ports and how to fill it in the manual also only show the 1 and 2 version,
and the mk3 actual gun has it in a completely different spot than both the 1 and 2 versions.

Makes me kind of nervous other stuff in the manual is ALSO different, but being new I wouldn't know lol.
Get on the FX site and get a copy of the manual for your specific rifle, I had to. AOA was aware of the wrong manuals but were still shipping them with and the now defunct FX USA basically said they were unaware of such occurrences and hung up on me.
Follow the advice given in this thread and make use of You Tube, loads of vids on these explaining everything you need to know.
Also, don't try to tune or change anything other than the rear power wheel until well after you are familiar with the gun and know what everything does and know what you are doing. The pressures these work at they are not safe in any way shape or form to mess with for a beginner.

FX  FX Wildcat M1, M2, M3 ?

M1 and M2 are similar. The M1 uses the original smooth twist barrel where the twist for the rifling is only at the last cpl inches. The M2 has the full length stx type barrel liner. Has the twist the full length and is a liner that can be swapped out for different twist rates. The M1 is not swappable. Both the m1 and m2 have adjustable hammer springs but the stock has to be removed on both. They are more internal so to speak. The M2 (I believe) also has an externally adjustable regulator although there isn’t a reg gauge which is really really really stupid.
With the M3 they went with completely interchangeable barrel kits. You can purchase these with barrel/shroud /transfer port and probe for fast easy changes of lengths and or calibers. The hammer spring is completely adjustable externally with no stock removal needed. It also has a dual adjustable hammer spring tension system for more fine tuning. You have a small Allen screw as a micro adjuster and then a power wheel with 7 settings for larger changes in hammer tension. You also have an externally adjustable regulator with gauge. The M3 is a nice upgrade over the other 2. I would definitely jump up to one of these.

Edit…also the m3 uses a more traditional fx self tensioned style magazine that indexes itself with spring tension. The m1 and 2 just have basically a round cylinder you load pellets into. Then a mechanism in the gun indexes it.

AirMaks Arms  For all of you Krait (and Katran) owners

That fully adjustable trigger and buttstock were on their webpage (AirMaks Arms, not UA) at the end of the 2023.
I've been thinking to buy them, but have been postponing it. Also removable bottle adapter is in my mind.

In my opinion don't bother, I just sent one back with a mk 4 reg that was all over the place.
I informed UA within the first 15 days and told them I would monitor it but asked for a refund at 29 days (out of their refund window).
they have offered me in store credit but they don't have anything I want instead, I don't like the FX or RAW or Taipan lines, would have rather had a Uragan or Brocock (which UA do not carry).
How do I get in touch with Justin directly?
I have KRAiT L with MK3 reg. and it is spot on.

Stocks/Grips/Chassis  SOLD HW95L take off stock - new

Ambidextrous beech stock from a brand new HW95L. Will also fit any HW95, HW98 and Beeman R9 models.

Took off before I ever shot the gun because I had a custom stock for it. As new condition. There is a small nick on the I side of the inletting around the trigger area where the pins stuck out when out together at the factory (see pic). This is hidden when stock is mounted.

Asking for $200 shipped in the CONUS. Paypal friends and family or add 4% to cover fees. Will also accept a USPS money order.

Best way to reach me is email

Thanks!

Other  Support Group for air guns

I was eyeballing that Ultimate Sporter myself but just can't justify that price tag for an adjustable comb on the stock! So I went for a walnut Hunter carbine instead in .22 just a few weeks ago! My two main reasons for .22 being I'm a hunter and my big meat hooks don't do well with tiny .177 pellets! Lol
I'd say look for a decent trade up to a .22 here on the forum for your safe queen first before buying another. And you know your gonna! 😉 I had one in beech a few years ago and much prefer the weight and balance of the walnut stock version!

Tunes

Yeah, people share their tunes, but I'm inclined to believe it's mostly for nought. Gauges aren't all that accurate. Each gun is also slightly different from the next one. You really need to get a chronograph, and start plotting your power band in relation to what adjustable inputs are available. Run your shot count. Using the data points you can begin to gauge where your gun is happiest. Tune it to an efficient, but powerful range. Then fine tune it for accuracy. Tuning also is literally anything conceivable, from refining the trigger, hammer, changing springs, polishing, changing physical properties, materials, geometry, you name it. It's a pretty big rabbit hole™. Best bet will be to start digging. Use the search feature or simply ask what people have done to whatever gun in specific it is that you want to "tune".

PCP Rifle  NLA F/X Impact MK2 .22 $1250 shipped with pellets and Mod.

Excellent shape. Currently tuned to about 32 fpe and shooting like lasers. 1 sealed tin of jsb 18.1 and 4.5 tims of AA 18.1g. Also included is an Oldspook mod that works very well. 2 mags and impact hard case.

Beeman  Beeman bearcub/ webley vulcan terrible trigger

I may be the only person on earth who thinks this, but I don't mind that trigger at all for a sporting rifle. Yes, a single-stage with some weight and a bit of creep, but smooth with predictable let-off once settled in.

Webleys in general - like many classic mechanical objects of the pre-digital age - are made to "wear in" with time and use (remember when new cars came with speed limits, etc., for the break-in period?). Set the adjuster to your preference and carry on, the trigger will be better next year (seriously)! 🙂
There is no reason to tolerate a creepy Vulcan trigger. Back the screw out until it's gone. Carefully test the setting by striking the butt with a rubber mallet to ensure it won't bump fire. If you want to improve on that take the trigger and sear out and lightly stone the surfaces. Or try a lighter spring. I did not find replacing the spring to be necessary.
