HW/Weihrauch  177 shoot out later today.

The 50 has a 100 yards parallax 4x on it too. I love this package. Light, handy and no fiddling with adjustments. It's the middle gun.

Truth is the 97 typically shoots better than those first four groups. It later shot almost the same sizes at 50 yards as I first did with it at 25. All that and you still couldn't pay me to carry the 97 around the property. The 50 is my squirrel gun. Always shoot minute of squirrel. It's one of my most consistent POI springers.
50 looks like the perfect squirrel gun.

Two words Two pictures hunting story. We’ve all been there.

I used a .30 slug on the first one out of a RTI P2. Then the rain got crazy so I swiftly returned to my house. While waiting for the rain to slow I was glassing the wood lot with my M3 .25 because it was sitting near the window for some long term testing. I decided to switch it back to pellets and when the rain slowed I slipped back over a zapped the other two with a .25 Hades. No far shots. Nothing spectacular. I just didn’t like the direction a .30 slug would be headed if I had to shoot one without a tree or woodpile for a backstop. So pellets to the rescue.

Saw the neighbor this evening. Told him three went to squirrel heaven. He said two or three have been what he was seeing so hopefully no more problems. Didn’t even ask what I used. Thank goodness. That’s a tricky road to go down because I hate to lie but I also don’t want to do a lot of explaining.
Those .25 hades are great!

International Air Pistol shooting

This is very true. One of the reasons I switched from benchrest to precision pistol is that ammo is almost completely irrelevant to target pistol accuracy. OTOH with benchrest ammo / barrel compatibility is critical and you go nuts testing lots of ammo - most of which is uncompetitive.

You can search and find tests of different pellets with air pistols clamped in a vice, and the accuracy differences are mostly in the X-ring. This testing may help if you need convincing:

Unless you shoot in major competitions RWS Basic or similar are fine. I use these in my FWB P44, and the combination is more accurate than I'll ever be (and also works well at 20yd, FWIW).

I second Neal Stepp / ISS for pellets, guns, and parts: http://www.iss-internationalshootersservice.com/

Neal is better to work with by phone than email
Wow! Thank you Kim. Very informative video.

Notos with Scuba Tank

That's awesome!

Yes, makes sense to be rated lower as size increased in diameter.
So to get back on topic I use the < 4500 tanks to tether or do partial fills on guns that will take it. The regulated guns are happy to run anything above final regulator, and the scuba tank does nicely for the pcp crosman conversions that I run near co2 vapor pressure.

My intro to pcp was hand pumping a gen 1 mrod25 and my big step up was using old paintball tanks as buddy bottles, so you learn what air you can get away with when you don't own a compressor and you burn orings out of your hand pump every 2 weeks. Sure it's not a full fill, but you're not doing full sets of cardio all day. Don't push your luck with chinesium shoebox compressors filling anything over 1L/92ci. I burned up a couple, and 3 Yong hengs over the years before I popped for a big boy compressor. If its cheap or free, i wouldn't shy away from a scuba fill setup at all.

N/A  Started with springer, went to PCP's, want 1 springer-which one?

I owned both hw 95 and 97 are fantastic rifles, the 95 is lighter and probably as accurate. I did keep the 97 because its an under lever and I feel it will hold up better without the barrel getting loose from cocking. I had a couple Diana's that were nice guns too but I prefer the HW's.

HW/Weihrauch  20 cal Rematch

German rifle,German pellets. That's my theory anyways lol. I like the Hawke AMX too. I go with their 2-7X32 model. I think the eye-box is a little tight, but oh well. It makes me pay attention to my head or eye position. I have a 3-9X40 Hawke AMX on my B-46 (it's a big air rifle). I like it but the 2-7X32 suits me and the air rifles ( HW50s & R9 ) better. Ya got a couple nice groups there(y). I use a black Paint marker to add a center dot to my pasters(y)
I've seen some using off center points of aim, like putting the bull in the corner, and I scratch my head and wonder why? That may be the answer.
