Standardized Moderator Testing (free)

This is going to ruffle feathers because it won't be three posts before I start being told how this is impossible, and results will be meaningless, etc... etc... When I push back the argument will become, "I've been doing this since before my grandfather was born... and yada yada". That will finally devolve into a urinary Olympiad the likes of which you have never seen since ..." So my advice to you resident experts with fifty gozillion years experience is simply this, "Don't. Just Don't" Rather just go start your own thread. Put up a poll and ask people who want to fight with you to sign up. I don't want to argue. I just want to test moderators and compile lists with data that actually means something. I don't need a million dollar lab to do that but there are a whole lot of vendors who want you to believe that I do. I will block you AS SOON AS you post looking for a fight.

EDIT: As a matter of fact, I wish there was a way to just block any replies to this post and accept those arrangements via PM... That would let me use this thread as a place to drop the reports as I do them.

That's out of the way.

Anyone, ANYONE at all, who wants to have me evaluate a moderator using the techniques I have recently described here is welcome to send me one to test. I will return that moderator on my dime after testing IF YOU SAY YOU WANT IT BACK.

That said there are some rules:
  • Don't ship me any moderator that is intended for or has ever been used on a PB. I don't want it. Don't send it. You won't get it back because I will destroy it upon receipt as I am not legally allowed to posses it. It is a crime to ship it through the mail and I WILL HAPPILY REPORT YOU.
  • Don't ship me any moderator that is not CLEARLY marked as being for airgun use. CLEARLY marked DURING the MANUFACTURING process. I know that is not a legal requirement BUT IT IS ONE OF MINE. I don't want to make that argument to some hot shot LEO looking to make brownie points with his boss. You won't get it back and if I even THINK it was ever intended or used on a firearm, I will HAPPILY REPORT YOU for shipping it illegally.
  • Don't ship me any moderator that won't run on a "standard" caliber (.17. .22, and .25) or which is not fitted for 1/2 x 20 UNF threads.
More than happy to do the testing, no charge and return the device, my treat. You want two compared? Sure, no problem ... just read the rules.

If you want that done, contact me via PM for a shipping address.

Hello from highly restricted California!

Being an Alabama rednec…..I mean native, shooting is something very common. Things that might bring out the SWAT team in Massachusetts are everyday stuff here. I once had a problem with people stealing things from the front of my house. The 4th time the same officer took the report I asked him if I would get in trouble by sitting on the front porch with a cooler and a 12 gauge. The reply was “try not to shoot anyone.” I’m not kidding and won’t discuss the paintball incident. California is a beautiful place but there are days when I wish it would break off and fall in the ocean.

Well when it does, we all now know toward which State to swim. The Panama Canal locks might be a challenge; I suggest we all rent a yacht.

Airgun Technologies  First generation of Uragan I .22 Cal became insane accurate.

I hadn't shot my G1 King in about 3 months but shot it last week. It took 3-4 shots to settle in(probably needs a going through) but after that was connecting on smallish steel. I worked my way out from 50Y on various shaped steel and when I got to 100Y was hitting the 1" spinner about a 1/4th the time. Then made my way out to 250Y on mid sized steel.

The surprise is how well the .75 G1BC 29gr 25 cal slugs do when the wind is down because it was easy hitting the 250Y fox sized coyote shaped steel that day. These slugs totally out class pellets past a certain point even though they are light for the caliber, however blow in the wind much more than my V3 25cal using 60gr Altaros.

The King is great for plinking because I don't need to fill it until I've loaded the magazine 9 times by which time I'm about done shooting it anyway.
It also bridges the gap well between my 20fpe FT gun and my V3.

22 Rifle Spring Maintenance and Performance Check-ups - Springers & PCPs

Thanks, Cowboy. Because of this exercise, this evening I got the Air Arms S510 out and dropped the power to level 4, shooting the Benjamin Match 10.5s at about 15.5 fpe. I was able to get the 18 yard, two ten shot group average size down to an average of .0.03. It just takes time and work to find out what is the optimum combination.

I knew it was capable of shooting so Mitch better than I experienced last Saturday.

DIFTA Match Report Sunday, March 24, 2024

Eight shooters turned out for the opening match of the season. This was a 60-shot match with an average difficulty of 30.9 T, with six targets > 40T, six targets with 0.375”or 0.5” kill zones, and eleven targets at > 40 yards. The match started out sunny and windy, with below freezing temperatures, gradually warming up to 40° by the end of the match. Despite steady rain on Saturday, which caused the match to be postponed, the ground was frozen solid but turned into mud as the temperature climbed. The major challenges were frozen fingers, which made single shot loading a challenge, and variable winds with gusts above 10 mph.

The match high score of 46/60 was shot by Greg White in Hunter Division, followed by Scott Broom, with a tie between Tae Chung and Tom Strong. Mark King led WFTF, with a tie between Paolo Amadeo and Mike Beyerle.

As always many thanks to those who travel long distances to compete and keep our sport alive

SCBA Tank Valve Assembly. Saber Tactical????

The question I have it, can you get your bottle filled at scuba shops with the ST or other airgun specific valves? Standard SCBA valves are a standard just about commercial shops can fill, not sure if commercial shops will fill using just foster fitting.
In my area, no SCUBA shop will fill past about 3500, and none that I have called have Foster fittings, only K-valve or DIN. Two paintball places can fill to 310 bar and have Foster fitting capability. YMMV

scba tank & parts

good to see this thread..I got mine from airgun archery fun in Canada.. it comes with a double connector to hook up to the compressor Foster fitting..
I have a survivair 30 minute tank and I am having a hard time finding a replacement valve for the tank.. mine is leaking at the gauge and it is built into the valve on the tank.. most are 5/8" or 7/8" thread where it goes to the tank.. mine is 1.125" same as 1 1/8" and I can't find the valve anywhere.. so if anyone has a idea I'd greatly appreciate it.
thank you
Mark

PCP Rifle  SOLD SOLD PENDING FUNDS...American Air Arms Slayer .357 ready to shoot or separate.

I don't have the fire in me for airguns anymore. Took this rifle out to shoot and shot it off hand , 3 shots, 3 avocados down, it's a blast but I'm just not having the fun I used to shooting. So I am completely getting out of airguns. 100% , done. Going to focus on traveling.

This rifle is in amazing shape, I don't even believe there is an aesthetic blemish ok it.

It shoots 155 gr accurate hollow points off a 3050 psi fill at 940, 925, 905 fps for the first three shots, can shoot 6 shots or one full mag on a fill but I just shoot 3 and top off, with a 3050 psi fill , it doesn't take much to top off.

I can stack 3 of these 155s at 100 on top of eachother on 10 mag.

I will sell it with the Athlon 2-12 helos btr mounted and zerod perfectly at 50 yards or will sell the rifle separately.

As you know you cannot buy the slayer anymore and not many people give them up.

Setup to shoot price is $2750 firm with 2 mags, a barrel tool, and scope setup.

Without scope the price is $2400 firm. Zero negotiating.

If interested in it, my cell number is 7744371476 , text or call, text first call after is best but don't be shy. I will respond much faster via cell phone, I am not on agn much anymore.

My feedback is absolutely flawless with 10s of thousands of dollars in rifle sales.

No PayPal so venmo or zelle only.

Rifle will ship ups 3 day shipping insured in a soft carry case And double boxed!

Single shot is 1st shot off a fill at 60 yards

Second group is 4 consecutive shots at 93 yards.

Freddie here, been away for a couple of years

Welcome back Freddie. I remember you. Where ya been? Hope it wasn't some physical malady that put you on hold.
I had a heart attack, three stents later and some duct tape I'm doing pretty good. Also I still have my guitar repair service going. Not much time for hobbies. Thanks

Massachusetts Newbie

The moderator states that I'm not following Airgun Nation Posting Guidelines.

"In order to create a new ad in the Classifieds forum you must have a minimum of 10 quality posts or replies". Your post has been removed.

Do I need to be Quality approved too? I'm working on the magic number Get Out of Jail 10 thanks to our members. I suggested having a $25.00 1 year membership to list items. It works at my present firearms website as I use to be a NFA/FFL dealer. Plus that website has a firearms raffle every month along with a few other benefits. Again, a win win for all!

I will be posting the equipment on another firearms website in the Northeast for shooters that has a Airgun Section. My issue is my brother-in-law had hobbies like all of us. motorcycles, fishing, machinist, coins, gold, archery, carpentry and a few others. I'm stuck dealing with each hobby. He blew tons of money on his hobbies.

He has a Grizzly Combo Lathe and Milling machine with hundreds of dollars in precision measuring equipment. Which is making my head spin. I'm familiar with the majority of the measuring devices. However, it take hours upon hours to sell all this stuff. My first instinct was to have an Estate Auction. It was path I should have chosen.
