i also installed the rifled barrel it’s pretty cool . I’ve tested it using the gamo 177 4 pack, after much shooting the magnum and country point are good ones I think the shallow or depth the skirt has allows it to travel with a bit more force than the 177 crossman piranhas, the crossman destroyer is meh broke some glass but will have to try it out more. The Schofield has enough energy to make the piranhas stick to wood at about 30 feet or a bit more but won’t fully penetrate. It’ll stick to cinderblocks though which is cool. Using the magnum gamo ammo or country with the pointy head ammo is also good for hunting possums and squirrels. But I think an increase in the release of co2 can make it so pellets can really penetrate a plank of wood

Yes, Miles, I was surprised myself (cf. the link to GTA).

However, high velocity BC values¹ are exactly what hunters need who want to take advantage of expanding hollow points that require a high impact velocity in order for them to expand.
The BC (likely several velocity-dependent BCs as GA is not a good fit) would then help to calculate the effective range of an HP (effective = at which expansion can still be expected).


And that is where I'd like to contribute data — whenever our local airgun range finally opens and I can start firing away in peace (as my cow corral gun range closed down)!

Got my Alkin, super nice compressor , bumped it to 4800 Psi my tanks and guns like the added pressure, So far none of my tanks, Lines , or guns have blown up, Not even popped a pressure relief valve ,,

I love the tunability of the gun. Jsb and hn pellets are easy to tune for. The frustrating thing is tuning slug. I got a very good group on HP slug 27 gr one day. I took out the gun a week later and the group was much bigger. I'm perplexed by it.

Maybe anyone can explain what happened and the remedy or if this is a common issue.

I deadhead lines and both filters, the coalescent and secondary media sieve filter. I let it sit for 5 minutes or so. One small leak can ruin your day, no?

This is one aspect. Or we can look on it from other, as they are done in china probably the production cost is significantly lower but the rifle has high-end price. So a good case will be if the bigger price gap is to give us high quality and well engineered and manufactured rifle.
The bad scenario is if they are simply want to earn money and just grab the revenue from the price gap and going to push to all their pockets. I hope that now will be an exception in the industry and someone finally has a goal and priority to make a great product with passion and not just to have good money from it.

Very true. An origin of product doesnt really makes it good or bad. You can have a product from sweden or china, its all about the ordering companies attitude and requirements how they specify their order. Chinese products are not tent to be low quality because they cant do good quality but because the cheapest product is their business strategy until they are the manufacturer and brand ownef in one person, but if you do business and make a contract with them as client you are the one who is defining the quality.

I feel like a 1/2 cc to 1 ftlb is closer for plenum size / power or 30cc to 60 ish ft lbs at best but usually loose a little more like 30cc to 50 ft lbs or so is the way I think about it I guess
