I expect that you know that you are comparing a PCP (S410) to a springer (TX200) and presume that you are aware that the PCP requires a high pressure air source.

Most of the sound from a springer comes from the mechanical movement of the internal parts. It pretty well is what it is and can't be dampened. With the PCP adding a moderator can really make them quiet so it could be adjusted to suit.

I have the S510 and the TX200, PCP and springer, and use them for different applications. Don't find either of them to be particularly loud.

I suggest that your other shooting needs/requirements should be considered first.

I have had both, and actually traded a TX200HC for a 410SL I still have. I agree with the above. Neither gun is loud, the 410 may seem quieter, but all that "mechanical noise" from the TX is right by your head when you fire it. I bet if you listened to both from 100ft away there would be little difference. Unless you need "mousefart" quiet, either would be fine.

@Struckat A weed? lol. I’ve never heard of it before this post.

I’ve used the foundation as a backstop for a big bore before when trying to eliminate a nuisance animal around the house. It definitely helps prevent the passthrough from traveling far. Didn’t damage the concrete.

2 days ago my POI dropped so I checked the chrono and fps was 790/ 800.

The Hammer spring reg is turned clockwise to the maximum from factory ,can't turn further.

I read many post that some guys got 875/900 fps on p15 out of the box.

Any help finding the problem is appreciated.

I know what you're saying buddy mine is brand new and at first with a 1.77 cal pellet I was getting in the high 600s so I've brought a huma regulator I need a bloody hammer spring now because that one is way too small, that's why we're getting low velocity, plus they need to be broken in more try and get yourself a huma regulator buddyit will make alot of difference good luck

When I need one fitting, I order more. It is always good to think ahead and have some spare parts.

Older RAW guns often need 160 bars to shoot .22 redesigned 25 grain pellets between 940 and 950.

Yeah, I just take the mod off for the long barreled Skout. I have the same digital gauge in bspp on my Prophet, it’s been solid for 2 years and on its original battery. I’ll PM you for further Skout discussion. That said, both the AEA and JTS pellets are working really well in all my rifles, and consistently to boot.

PBBA .457 power tune I removed the return spring and valve retainer for way more flow and way more dwell time. Chrony numbers coming soon.

Again, I want to say that I am not necessarily recomending West Hunter rings, just getting MOA usage from them if you bought a set thinking they were MOA rings.

My purpose is to shoot on my range which has a 30 and 75 yard backstops, and not be too far from scope center for the safety of the scope, because I am shooting a springer.

The rings are working well, but that first set up was way to much. I went the full range of the scopes adjustment from full up to zero at 75, to full down, and I mean every click both ways.


I have made two adjustments to the rings since, and I'm currently set to have 44 clicks past scope center of up for a 75 yard zero.
I haven't tried a thirty yard zero yet, but with the scope centered it was grouping was 2 1/4" high at 30.


This adjustment will likely suit my purpose.
I just don't want my scope against the stops with a springer hammering on it..
I also hope that the WH, rings hold position as time goes by..

Wow, that's some nice shooting. Looks like you could pretty easily split playing cards with that rig.

Awesome that's great to hear! The firing pin malfunction was my only problem with my first gamo arrow, I was hoping they'd fix the issue in the gamo arrow classic hopefully they reinforced it

i also installed the rifled barrel it’s pretty cool . I’ve tested it using the gamo 177 4 pack, after much shooting the magnum and country point are good ones I think the shallow or depth the skirt has allows it to travel with a bit more force than the 177 crossman piranhas, the crossman destroyer is meh broke some glass but will have to try it out more. The Schofield has enough energy to make the piranhas stick to wood at about 30 feet or a bit more but won’t fully penetrate. It’ll stick to cinderblocks though which is cool. Using the magnum gamo ammo or country with the pointy head ammo is also good for hunting possums and squirrels. But I think an increase in the release of co2 can make it so pellets can really penetrate a plank of wood
