Makes perfect sense! I ordered some more 20.2 gr in .216 and threw in an order for .2165 just to see if they will work any better. The .217 in 20.2gr is a shotgun pattern so I don't have high hopes for the .2165 20.2 but I'll see.Rifling contact. Less slug skirt on the lighter slug so 2165, more contact on the 20.2 so 216. Barrels and liners rely on how much contact is needed to stabilize the slug.
An Arken?Turns out Cameraland must have gotten some in? Got a tracking number with today and it's already on its way. 3.5lbs sounds about right for the scope and caps and bubble level. Should be here by next Wednesday.
Yes, sorry, it's an HM1000x with the 480cc bottle. And thanks for the confirmation on efficiency. I guess I'm just surprised at how many less shots I get vs my .177cal Raw. That one (also an HM1000x with the 480cc bottle) gets 90 shots from 180 bar down to the reg set point of 120.Just a quick question and comment. Are you speaking of the HM1000X with a 480cc bottle?
If so, running your numbers says its efficiency is in the ballpark of 1.50fpe/ci. That's very good for a .22 running at nearly 50fpe.
Good thought! I hadn’t considered that yet! This is 100% a work in progress, so I thank you and everyone else for throwing out ideas!Wouldn't the height over bore of the scope play a factor in this as most people's scopes are not at the same height?
