Air Venturi  Replaced Reg on Avenger Bullpup, No More Reg Creep

I ordered a replacement stainless steel regulator from Pyramid and replaced the creepy reg I had in my Avenger Bullpup . The new regulator fits both the Avenge X and the older Avenger (both bullpup and non bullpup). Took the stock off, punched out the regulator retainer pin, unscrewed the old reg, screwed the new one in, put the pin back in, reattached the stock, DONE! No more reg creep. The entire job took less than 15 minutes. If your avenger suffers from reg creep, this will cure it.

Airmaks moderator vs Huma

I don't mind you deviating from the subject of the thread. I object to you you correcting someone asking a question that is on topic. You seemed to be playing forum police, so I thought you might like to see what it is like. :)
Neither there was a question nor I’m police if I’m answering to the post directed TO ME.
I’m done with this BS.
Good luck

Darling Starlings

Bait them with suet cakes. I have cakes set at my 50 yd target stand and my 100 yd target stand. They can see me walk to my bench with rifle in hand but it doesnt matter. Once in awhile you get a few cautious ones that spook when I have to carry all my gear to the table but they come back within minutes. They always come in to feed no matter how many I shoot. If you are limited on space and can only get 30 yds or under it may not work as well unless you use cover to shoot from.

I have 500 yards clear to play with, the suet cakes sound GREAT! 😇

Leupold 45x45 ranging

I can see 10 yards easily but not with crystal clarity
yeah, the problem with it only being 10.6 yds focus at best from what i have ever seen, is that its a guess and just judged at 10 if blurry. thats a big difference on your hold over method between 10 and 11 yds, for a 3/8 kz. thats why theres way better out there today WITH lit reticles and better reticles, thus Leuip has been pushed to the back burner by us FT guys and its just a great BR scope now.........

We all seem to be on par, it's been years since I used a hand pump but I remember doing nearly 600 pumps to fill my 580cc bottle near full from empty. I like working out, but never again.
That's why you only top off your gun every 25 or 50 shots with a hand pump . If you only hunt ,you can most likely only need to pump once a week .

Brocock/BRK  .22 BRK GHOST HP

I guess I need to decide what pellet weight I want to shoot then test a few different brands to get the optimum accuracy. I probably need to look at some ballistic tables for different weights then pick a weight. Do you choose a weight first or should you try as many varied weights as possible and just go for accuracy?

Higher weight = less shot count, greater knock down power, less effected by wind. Is this correct or are there ay other pros and cons?

As a further thought BRK told me that a 'slug' barrel is shortly to be released(June?). When this arrives an option would be to shoot 18grn from existing barrel then adjust regulator when barrel is changed for slug barrel.

Other  Hans Solo's blaster (Mauser C96?)

Guns & Ammo just had an article about the "blaster" that Hans Solo (Star Wars) carried.
This movie prop recently sold for an all-time record, over $1,000,000 through Rock Island Auction.
At first glance I though "hey, that looks a lot like my KWC M712", and I was close.
Hollywood added some junk to disabled Mauser C96 and gussied it up into a sci-fi prop.

So now I'm looking at my M712.
I wouldn't hack this one, but it's tempting to get another someday and turn it into Solo's sidearm.
Hey, I'm an old sci-fi junkie, this would be fun.
And maybe a Klingon disintegrator, but I'd need to build that from scratch
Oops … I meant Klingon “disruptor”. Gotta get my jargon right

HW/Weihrauch  !If you bought a new hw97 walnut!

Curious if these new walnut stocks are mainly intended for the US market, as there's no sign of them in Europe or the UK. Plus, there's no mention of them on the Weihrauch website, which only lists beech or laminate options.
I'm told that they are just imported by AoA and that only 1000 will be made. I can't recall where I saw this information, so don't hold me to it until verified. Orv.

Groundhog Jugular

This groundhog was on the move! He was traveling from left to right in pretty tall grass, while he was eating the tasty tops of grass. At this distance with the Hybrid Slugs, I needed to go for a headshot, as I'd be dropping this guy in like to bottom of a rainbow. I made a spot on wind call, and tried to drop it straight in the ocular, but I think my laser rangefinder metered the tall grass just in front of the whistle pig, so the shot landed an inch low from the eyeball, and it wrecked it's jugular and put it down for the count.

Shot with the FC Maverick VP .30cal shooting FX Hybrids at 940fps. The ATN X-Sight 5 5-25 LRF did the ballistic and recording duties, and I exercised the features of the newest firmware to record at 240 fps, which I then slowed down to 480 fps in post for some pretty nice slow motion.

Always love slow motion. Great shot and video thanks for sharing

Am I a sucker??

As a follow-up I got the gun back. I filled and bled off 6 or 7 times and there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the foster fill. Don't know what to think. I can't see myself fixing what isn't broken.
I know I had a one way valve go bad once (or so I thought) it just quit sealing….then one day it just started holding air again…3 years later it’s still holding… weird things happen sometimes.

Events  Boerne, Tx May 2024 Match Announcement

"I've always thought that Ron was mental, too."

Do you also think application of past tense appropriate in that statement, Scott? I suspect some might disagree.

Example- The shortest FT shooter we know called today and asked "What are you doing?" I replied, "Well, you're not going to believe this; but I'm bloviating on the forum again."

As most sane folk would, he asked "What does bloviating mean?" So I answered with the question, "What is the first syllable in bloviating?" He said, "Blow... as in blowing hot air?" with a chuckle.

I replied, "You're well on your way to defining bloviating, Bud."

My point? Your use of past tense might be inaccurate, SC.
