HW 50 Accuracy improvement by accident

If I understand correctly, the O-rings go on the barrel then, the sleave goes over the O-rings. I would be curiosity to know how it shoots if you just put the O-rings on the barrel and leave the shroud off. The O-rings might be acting to change the harmonics like the old "decelerator" donut was supposed to do.
Correct, the o rings slide onto the barrel (about 6 if i recall correctly) then i slid the CF tube over top. When i removed the tube a few times to check with and without the tube, i left the orings in place on the barrel. Even with the orings in place (and no tube) the groups still opened up to the original size. (Without orings and tube.)

Crosman  The Shockwave. Still figuring it out.

Today is the end of the First Week of ownership. Thursday I received some JTS 18."sumthins" in the Mail. This rifle appears to be taking a liking to them! Just loading them, the feel told Me these would be more consistent than the Crossman H/P's and the Daisy HP's "only ones available". lol I finally have a group worth showing. Litte Breeze, Sunny Day, and 30 Yards. I tell ya, learning to shoot a Break Barrel is a whole New Animal! Bottom hole was just a quick warm up. The next 5 were the JTS they grouped well for Me! I better order more! lol

RAW TM1000x .177 moderators

No laws have changed. If I remember correctly, I think there was concern about discussions of DIY moderators and thread adapter size that skirted close to questionable territory. I think to keep this site and the community off any radars, the rule of discussion of such topics came about.
Gotcha, thanks for the explanation

Umarex  Gauntlet SL25 or 22...?

Anyone get the new SL model in .22 or .25?
Haven't seen any reviews on these but I honestly believe I can get much more "in depth" info here.
Got my G2 .25 in February and loved it!
JTS 29.63 pellets moving at 885fps grouping about .5" @ 50 yds.
The bolt was extremely sticky straight out of the box and would actually lock up from time to time. I was hoping to break it in better but it got to the point where I was spending most of my shooting time trying to free the bolt mechanism. At the end of March, I sent it in to UX for warranty work. Hadn't heard anything from them and since we are now in the month of May I called them. I was informed by them that they were just gonna send me a new gun and it was taking so long because they didn't have any replacements. I asked if there was a possibility that I'd get the updated SL and he said it was a possibility but don't bet on it. The rep made it clear that I would get whatever came in, SL or not. (At this point I just want it replaced with something that works.)
Anyway, my curiosity about the new model has got me wondering.
Your input here is valuable.
Thanks

Events  Field Target Tournament, Marlboro MASS

Glad you enjoyed watching the match. Now all you need to do is to tune your Wildcat down to 20fpe and shoot Hunter class. Or, just dive in and get a dedicated .177 FT rig. That would be the more fun option!!

Hope to see you at another match.

Chas
I did find single shot trays on eBay... so the other detail to address as I get prepared.

N/A  spring pistol?

Well, It arrived about a week ago. Shoots pretty good for a $70. pistol. triggers fair, sights are OK. Im knocking cans around cosistently at 15 yards free hand. seems to like the alloy pellets better than the AAs. claims to shoot 400fps but I haven't shot it over the chrono. What pellets do you guys use in your pistols?

Full and partial tins. The partial tins are all 50% or more full. $325 shipped. There are some dents in a few tins. The FX 25.4 are the worst. Pellets seem fine though.

FX  M3 1 or 2 regs which is better with slugs

Well first of all i could not get the first reg to stay set above 160 bar. If i tried to make any amout of adjustment above 160 it would go to bottle pressure. At 160 at shot it would drop to about 130 and took a very long time to get back to 160 sometimes sometimes it would recover more quickly and the next shot would be very slow. I took the reg out and now you can hear the plenum fill and shoot as fast as you like and instead of having sd’s of 10-15 i have a sd of 1 so whats wrong with that? Oh and just for info sake when i talked to the guy at utah he said his m3 has no first reg either. Said it was 1 less thing to go wrong.
I have the same issue with the 160bar or full bottle preassure, ive ended up with just full bottle preassure and it works fine. But in my case the issue with the slow filling is that I dont have the right bottle valve to use on my m3, I took my bottle from my crown mk2 and at that time i didnt know that the m3 needs a sleeve to put on the valve pin that push against the 1st reg, without it it wont open the valve completely, so I had to turn that valve protector thing all the way out so it pushes the pin more, if you understand.

Made some 3d printed and laser cut parts for my Yong Heng!

Thanks for the info. I used to do some cad work in Pro/E back when that was a thing. Now the company has switched to Solidworks, but I am in management so I don't have direct access to any 3d software any longer. I've been trying to find software that is both capable, and cheap enough to justify in my hobby budget.

My 3d printer is a much lower end unit than that (Creality Ender 3 Pro), but it has served me well.
