New RAW TM1000x - first range outing

Hello @tommyb

Two great looking cards, very well shot at 40-yards (y) (y) (y)

ThomasT

Thank you guys! Wind reading is getting a bit better, but I still shoot quite a few 40Y cards in the 180’s.

It does help a lot that I have the rifle secured in a front mechanical Randolph rest vs. front Accu-Tac bipod. I have it fastened down tightly so there is virtually no movement in the front and mid section of the rifle. All this is for naught though without some luck from “wind reading.”

I call it “luck” because that’s how it feels at times. 😀

surprising results with the Airforce "Talon P"

I had a Talon P and put it in a Maddog stock so it was like a mini bullpup.
You could consistently hit a four inch steel disc at 100 yards with it.
Wishing I still had it too, I never tried slugs just pellets.
It would hammer the starlings with polymags and even blow a wing off on occasion lol.
Have you tried polymags yet?

Traditional Rifle  SOLD Crosman SSP project guns

I had a lot of fun tinkering with these but those times are passing. They were sitting in the safe for some time so it’s safe to say they will have to be resealed. I have no time so selling as is. Let me know if you need more pics. From top to bottom in pic, (SSP 250, 22cal, custom 13-3/4” bbl, cast loading gate which I think Crooked barn did a small batch, slip on ldc adapter with 1/2”x20 thread, LDC. $150 shipped) (SSP250, 177cal, custom 16-3/4” bbl, $120 shipped) (SSP250, 177cal, early round breech. $100 shipped)

Results  Invicta FTC (Minor Hill, TN) March 2024 Match #2 Results

Posted for David Slade:

Yes, our second match of the month, don't forget we are having two a month starting this season on!

Eight shooters came out, weather promised to be less wet, though it rained until around 6am! We were greeted by windy conditions, which then progressed onto 20 mph plus winds.....

I would normally say this results in lower scores, however Danny managed to improve his score by one from his last match, I on the other hand did less well by one..... Brad came out with his new TX200HC, clad in a new stock, a new tune, and scored just two below the match high score!! JD Garland came over with a buddy from East Tennessee, and that all made for a fun match, despite the crazy winds.

Roz came out to visit, his hip is improving by leaps and bounds, I hope he comes out to shoot one more time before he moves to Atlanta!

Next match will be April 6th, I moved it a week as the annual Cajun Spring Classic will be the following weekend, and I haven't missed that apart from a couple of times for 34 years, if you haven't attended, you need to its the granddaddy of field target events!

God Bless

David Slade

Air Gauges  FOUND Step down in-line reg with micro lines and QD

I’m looking for another reg. I sold Bowman mine. If you have one for a fair price (I sold mine for $350) I might be interested. If not I can just get Jimmy King to piece one together from McMaster Carr, August Industries, the suppliers everyone else uses for a very fair price.
Just checking here.

PCP Rifle  SOLD .22 FX Dream Pup (bottle version) $725

Nice rifle in great shape. Fun to shoot. Likes JSB 16s and 18s. I had the rifle resealed and tuned by Newman Buck at Cape Fear Airguns in December. Comes with one magazine. Scope and moderator not included. Uses a foster fitting so there's no fill probe to lose. I'd like to keep it but I have too many rifles. And I do best with non-adjustable guns.

$725 shipped CONUS, PayPal Friends & Family.
No trades at this time.
Thanks for looking.

Behold the Motorhead Marauder

Just curious. I see the machined foster cap and the laminated custom stock. I also see a custom bolt handle. Those things are just cosmetic with some functional benefit like the cheek riser. But what internally makes these guns different from another Marauder? Is the valve modded? Cobra? balanced? Is there a regulator? Different barrel? Has anything been done to address the prodigious weight and length?
