Another decent day with the .177

With all those invasive pests down there, you're sure to never go hungry! Might get eaten by a Burmese python, or a gator, but that's why it's called the circle of life!
Pretty much, there's no shortage of invansive or "dangerous" animals down here haha.

N/A  Cast Slug Groups!!!!

Here's 5 shots 50 yards. With Accurate Molds 650 grain Spire Point Boat Tail ...This is hard wheel weight lead powder coated with a touch of rem oil for lube. Shooting off external regulator.. Velocity around 750 fps. Shooting 3 shots groups much easier... Wow the 650,s really consume a lot of air....Maybe 10-15 shots off 30 minute SCBA tank till off regulator...4300 psi to 3625 psi......I have big 90 min 5500 psi SCBA tank...took heavy... Too gimped.to move....

External regulators

Thanks for the reply. A question you might be able to help me with. The gauge on the right of the Regman is to be set higher than what my air gun puts out. Still confusing. My fps on the 30 cal is 780 fps but I'm not sure what my internal regulator is set at, or where to start setting bar/psi on that gauge on the right.

HW/Weihrauch  A HW77 and a half

Thanks. Hope your healing is swift and easy.
I was going to ask if it’s safe to open it up and have a look to possibly see what they did, without destroying what I have. Made my day.
This gun’s operation is so smooth. Now my goal is to make my other guns as smooth, if possible. Crow
I needed to open mine up to see what was what. Incredibly smooth to cock and shoot. Looking forward too getting out again and putting it though it's paces.

Ammo storage

I load Zan slugs, and for that matter pellets too, into JTS screw lid pellet tins, they have superior thread VS say H&N tins i used before.
In turn i have 6 of those tins in a plastic bin that fit in my tank bag pocket, other similar plastic bin house my chrono - batteries - tools - oil / grease and picks.
Rifle spare parts follow the rifles. CUZ it is a 2 X 40 min drive if i have a malfunction.

6 tins are most often enough for a nice 2 day in a row at the range during peak season.

I tested some mid-weight pellets today

It depends on the pellet and what calculator you are using. GA was the first reference drag law for round head pellets. There are some questions regarding its accuracy at high muzzle velocities, but it is still much better than G1. A second one for round head pellets called GA2 is also available now, which is slightly different at high speeds. For dome head hollow point pellets, use either of the above.

For wadcutter pellets there is one called WC0 which was specifically developed for wadcutters. It should be more accurate, but it still needs to be proven.

Below is a comparison between the shape of the G1 reference projectile and a typical pellet shape. To use the G1 reference drag law for a different projectile (pellet), the projectile should at least vaguely look like the G1 projectile.
