To add to this, my vulcan 3 has a 1:17.7 twist 700mm barrel in .25 and shoot 36gr slugs and up really well. Like up to 46gr H&N cause I haven't tested heavier slugsI wanted to know from those shooting heavy. 25 slugs what is the twist used .I want to have a tj made for my AF.. that all could benefit since I have to had the tooling made.. I also since I'm already having tooling made I want to make one in .177
So for .25 is 1-15.5 .. or 1-16 ..?
For .177 .. should we try 1-8 or 1-9 .. 1-9 is the twist used to shoot 26gr cast slugs in .172 .. I really don't see my self buying many more guns but .. I could have plenty of different barrels to play with my AF guns.
The only things I have physically done,1 polished the barrel and 2, take some off the lead to the trigger and polished it so there is no creep. No 2 barrels are the same so you have to slug the barrel,Curious to hear about your most accurate big bore setup. How tight are the groups and what efforts, adjustments, and testing were required to get there? Any tips or tricks for improving accuracy? Any tips for what NOT to do?
I agree they should have kept the original as an option still. That would make sense, keep the solid Taipan ( I think they should have stayed with the original full stop )
Then come out with a separate line with different name and features but the same build quality.
Yes sir they are complete opposite. I find the tempest more enjoyable to shoot than an HW45 though. Then again this tempest had 50 years to break in where as the hw45 I shot was fairly new and not tuned.a Diana model 6 and a Tempest, 2 pistol on the opposite end of the felt recoil spectrum
and yes the Indian or Diana B9N or B9S has bad sights and the trigger is so-so at best and the loading is a pain and it is too bad it is a very nice pistol
i have tried to figure out how to replace the rear sight for years, i even bought an SeeAll sight to mount on the barrel but that did not work out or i gave up
that Diana or see it a Beeman 6GS is a bit of a rare pistol if it so marked
What temp gauge setup do u have? You really don't need a temperature gauge, There is an internal sensor attached to the head of the compressor that goes to the control board, if the temp gets above the set amount, it will shut down the compressor to prevent damage. I have a temp gauge on mine and fill 480cc tank regularly, the temp has never gotten over body temp, 98.6F! The only time it went over that was when the cooling tank got clogged and no water was flowing, even then it only got to about 106F. The only reason I have the gauge is because I'm anal!![]()
I suppose that some UPS franchise store owners might "make up" some rules, but they are subject to the restrictions of their franchise agreement, and that is the source of most of their rules. The UPS agreement specifically lists air guns as a restricted item, and they have to go through a company location. Many FedEx and UPS locations are franchises. The franchisees can make up their own rules and many refuse to ship guns or anything resembling guns. This is the reason people mask the contents.
I used FedEx for many many years shipping air guns and PB's. Now I use pirate ship. The key is to print your own shipping label, including full insurance and drop it off and make sure you get a receipt for the drop off. No questions asked. USPS sucks for tracking and quit using them many years ago for this reason
