AirMaks Arms  Katran standard 22 power question

I appreciate you and all the others chiming in.

So based on some feedback here, I decided to play with it some more and got some interesting results. I adjusted the reg down to around 145 bar, first shot hit 905 with 22 grain pellets, then it steadily decreased until it settled to 870s no matter what I did with the hs. Took back apart, set reg at 160 bar first shot 911, then steadily decreased and settled in the 890s.

The interesting part, is that after the re air up the first shot every time is a very loud sharp air crack, almost coming from the action area, then every shot after sounds good. Except it does feel like there is a slight amount of air on every shot coming from action/valve area. There is only one o ring around the outside of the valve to seal the transfer port, nothing on the hammer side of the valve. Im almost thinking there is an alignment issue with the valve/transfer port but I don't know how to check that. Im thinking a call to UA tomorrow is in order.
Keep us posted!

N/A  Slug Uniformity and Accuracy

Before they came up with the slip-clutch adjustment on the barrel of the mics, 10 people taking readings with the same mics would come up with 10 different results. That was a major improvement along with the tenths vernier. Sill more accuracy than is needed for pellets and slugs, IMO. For real accuracy, I believe they have push-through sizing dies similar to the ones used for powder burner bullets.
I"ve got some of the old ones laying around somewhere. I ran a test of sizing, didn't see any appreciable difference. I haven't been in the trade for ..... 21 years.

Caldwell Stable Table Lite Mod

Nice. I run the same table. I did skateboard grip tape from Amazon on the top. Then I reinforced the bottom with aluminum angles, riveted on. I added a brace between the front legs. Then what makes the most difference is i hang sand bags from the leg brackets of the table with to help weight it down.

Places to shoot in western Washington

I'm with you on that one bud, also road signs!
Road signs don’t bother me too much. It gives us a bad image, but they can be easily replaced. When I see a mature Douglas fir that’s dead because someone thought it would be a convenient way to stop bullets though it just pisses me off. It probably took 70 years for that tree to grow and it likely won’t even be used for firewood.

Help with Value of 1st Generation Benjamin Marauder Wood Stock

You know what a lot of folks do?
They mount a spotting scope to a spare rifle stock.
In case you don’t want to use the scope off of a bench.
i did this just so i can go out at night with a high powered scope to look at weird lights in the sky. easier to grab and spot with than a telescope on a tripod

Corbin press customer service not so good

Good-aye I am in Australia and have ordered a bunch things I was told by Kelly to make some of my dies would take a bit of time as they are hand made.I have rung them on numerous times and talked to Kelly and others and cannot say enough about there help and they take the time to have a chat about this and that. Kelly in my opinion is a great bloke, and I am still waiting for my gear but they have shown me great business skills in there reply's Mike

Hill EVO-310 Pressure Issue

I purchased a Hill EVO-310 sometime last year. It worked perfectly since I purchased it, until yesterday. I tried to top-off my air tank from ~220-310 bars as I normally would. Usually, I start the compressor and let it pre-charge to a pressure close to the tank pressure before opening the tank valve.
Problem: Now the unit only pre-charges to about 85 bars and then hangs there. After about 10-20 seconds or so the dump valve blows open blowing the disk off of the rubber boot. This happened three times in a row. Has anyone seen this issue before? If so, what did you do to correct the issue?
BTW: Oil and silicone levels are normal. I currently have a little over 12 hours on it so far.

10.5gn made in Spain...hmmm

Ya, the .22 GPHP kinda rough .

The .177 hp are daisy hp in a crosman tin . There not bad and cleaner shooting.

I hope that this is a stop gap on the Spanish pellets while gamo maybe disassemble and move the pellet operation from NY to there usa home base in Arkansas. So hopefully fingers crossed once that started up we get back to more a genuine CPHP usa pellet again...

🤞

Events  2025 SOFT AAFTA GP

Great time!!!
Thanks for the smooth match Jacob, The tacos were tasty as F!!! Randy set a challenging new course up, hardly any wind reads out near the targets and like JW was saying, much different dynamic than the lower course. Wayne graded a new road and built us platforms for the new course. Thanks for Hosting the Event Wayne! Unbelievable amount accomplished in 6 weeks.
The weather was just about perfect, hung out with a lot of really great shooters. Had the pleasure of shooting with @JW. on day one and @Therealld on day two. I grouped with @Pea-shooter O.G. and @PowderBurnt for the pistol event on Friday.
I really love this property and was so glad to share the experience with my wife, Nikki, this time. It's hard to explain the nature of properties like Airgun Oregon and Nevada State Championships (Battle Mountain) without seeing them in person.
