Monstrum Spectre 1-6X LPVO scope

I will also say that I traded for an airgun a while back and it came with a Monstrum 3-9X scope on it. I didn't even pay much attention to it and set it aside. Later, I thought I'd give it a try on one of my Royales and that thing is one of the clearest scopes I've used. I have no idea how the tracking is, other than it holds zero and I did crank it up and down and sideways a couple of times and it came back to zero but it wasn't enough for any kind of concrete proof it tracks. My only gripe was the thick reticle for airguns, but it wasn't bad at all, I've see UTG with thicker. I used it for a while and then my neighbor needed a scope and I gave it to him for his Huntsman, and he loves it.

So, I don't doubt it's a crapshoot. I just ordered a Hawke 1-4X turkey dot for my Notos and it's "ok", nothing special. It's "fairly" clear and the dot is just right. It's just kinda "blah". I'd use it if I had to, but for my Notos the Monstrum prism is absolutely so much fun to use, it's staying there til I mount a scope on it. The Marksman prism is absolutely clear, and for $89 a great deal. I'd love to be able to have "no tools" adjustments, but I just use hold over, so no biggie.

JTS  100 Yard Accuracy on a Budget | JTS Airacuda .25 | Complete PCP Air Rifle Kit for $500

I don't care how cheap / expensive or good any air rifle claims to be or how many spare parts are available, if it is not accurate or can't hold POI it's junk to me.

I don't really like to describe just any air rifle as junk as it may be another person's pride and joy with a different experience as I do.
I'm curious what rifles you've found in your experience stack up best to this criteria. Those are factors I appreciate as well.

Katran .22 BL first day on the job!

Are Egyptian geese considered a pest? Do you need a special license or stamp or are they like iguanas? Kill them all?
Yes they are invasive and a pest down here. But most people try and treat lile outside pets that they feed so they always come back and defecate everywhere. In the mornings they are pretty much like roosters in the sense that they will perch up on your roof and honk to their hearts desires. They are not as bad as iguanas when it comes to being destructive to our agriculture, but they are aggressive. No the state of Florida doesn't need them all gone like iguanas but I am hired to removed just the same as iguanas.

Skout Rear Benchrest Review

Glad to see Skout adding a rear rest to their lineup. I do have some questions though. It appears the rest has 4 leveling legs. If so, 4 points of contact are a hinderance to level a rest on any surface. Wouldn't it be more beneficial and logical to use 3 points of contact?

The elevation adjustment also makes me scratch my head. It appears that the leverage ratio of the cantilevered mounting arm creates a moment on the elevation post and therefore potentially binds the elevation screw threads in a less than ideal design of application?

Skout Rear Benchrest Review

Skout Airguns was kind enough to provide me with one of their first production run examples of the new SKOUT REAR BENCHREST. After a couple of trips out to the range to put it through it's paces, are my impression.

A SHOUT OUT TO JIM D

Thanks Bill and the rest of you guys. I take it that it arrived Bill. I think you got a very accurate gun. You need to try some 30 yard challenge targets with it. I think it might do a 200. I have to really settle down and concentrate to get over 190 regardless of the gun's capability, however. For about the first year of shooting that target I almost never did. Fortunately I got better with practice. Shooting better from the bench definitely helps when you are trying to figure out what pellet a new gun likes.

I expect this to change but right now my Snowpeak guns are giving me better 30 yard challenge scores than my new Caiman that cost 3 times as much! I really enjoy finding a "cheap gun" that can can shoot with the "big boys".
I concur with the less expensive guns hanging tough with the higher end guns

In street/drag racing it’s referred to as a sleeper.

Snowpeak is rocking it out
