GX pump not building pressure

I almost bought this compressor off facebook marketplace. Just decided against it as after I bought a new piston assembly would be just too close to new price. I’m curious as well. If it were me I would have replaced the burst disc(s) and just bought a new piston with seals from target forge and dropped it in. I would think that would have to fix it. Not much else to do. I know many in this thread were sending him on a leak hunting mission but if it isn’t building any pressure it’s pretty hard to find a leak.

PCP Rifle  WTS Hammerli pneuma

I have a heavy hitting hammerli pneuma .22 caliber that I need to re-paint the stock due to removing a custom hydro dip, unless you would like to take that upon yourself, but I am willing to do it. Will make it the color you want with a matte or gloss seal coat. I will also spit shine this girl inside and out for you. NEED THIS GONE!
PACKAGE INCLUDES:
-Centerpoint Illuminated scope
-fill probe including quick disconnect
-two rotary magazines
-open tin of predator metal mag pellets

Notes: This Hammerli pneuma is the same as the at-44 but unsure of the fps. I lost the dust plug for the air cylinder a while ago. Moderately used, shoots hard, very good accuracy with predator metal mag pellets. The Quatro trigger is flawless and has a very very very crisp break after the first stage.

Bad marketing...

That's awesome!

I found their site and went forward (despite the security risk) and found the girl pointing a rifle at me. The wins continue.

They also sell "Spike", "Cutter", "Round" and other pellets on ebay and amazon. "They're the world's best!"

Cheers,

J~
After she pointed the rifle at you did she say “love you long time GI”?

Beeman  The New Beeman model 1341 Regulated Chief 2

i have the regular chief .. its an ok gun on a budget but it needs more than a reg to make it 'class up' .. i would imagine a reg could dial down some of its hammer bounce and save some air at least .. ima get to trying to tune and mod the thing one of these days .. it IS a solid gun actually, and i think its got potential ..
My Chief was a diamond in the rough, too. With a trigger adjustment plus a lighter trigger return spring from a ball point pen, the crossbow trigger breaks as crisp and light as any. Add a hammer denouncer (AustinB made mine), a few passes with jb bore paste on a nylon brush to polish the bore and it becomes a sure enough diamond! Steve Scially of AEAC YouTube shot a 1.19" ctc group at 100yds with his untuned .22 Chief and other videos/customer reviews confirm that SAG Beeman makes a heck of a barrel. Dollar for dollar, from the qb78 to their pcp line, they are built to last and hard to beat at twice the price, IMO. Thanks for your good honest thoughts on these airguns.

Brown headed cowbirds?

Starlings, house sparrows, cowbirds, and grackles are all on my hit list, in that order. The cowbirds because they are brood parasites for the bluebirds and the grackles because they absolutely dominate the feeder when they come in. The other two are on the list for obvious reasons. Fyi-male cowbirds have the brown heads and the females are solid dark gray.

Sparrows....feeder question

177 is plenty big for sparrows, I think the 22 is over kill on sparrows, But I have shot a few with my 30 caliber to see what it would do,, Sparrows do not die any faster with a 30 caliber pellet or slug!!! The 177 does make the best POP, The wadcutter is the king of sparrow pops , Trust me I have my PHD in sparrow kills.
Mike
Idk, a 22 grain Hybrid HP slug at 950 fps makes a pretty loud POP on a house sparrow! Its so loud that I can't do it in my backyard because of my neighbors across the road. It literally sounds like a .22 short going off.

The Pathfinder XR

I’m assuming folding stock is for transporting… anyone actually shoot with the stock folded? I can’t imagine single shot shooting with folded stock.

Also, looking at the safety, seems a bit more recessed in the trigger guard compared to my brk sniper xr.

Looking to buy something like the pathfinder later on, I don’t have a compact pcp yet.
There are people shooting them in pistol field target without the stock. The saftey is the same as the commander xr and sniper. Its a commander with a 10” barrel

Results  Invicta FTC (Minor Hill, TN) April 2024 Match #1 Results

Posted for David Slade:

We had colder weather to start the match, and winds to mess with our scores, in fact I think we have had more wind in the first three matches of this season that the whole of last year! Brad, as usual, came out early and cleaned the course as needed, much appreciated!

Anyway, we had seven shooters come out, hope to see more as the weather improves, Grant and Gray made the long drive to compete, hope to see them more this season, if their sports program allows.

I got the opportunity to shoot with Danny Ayers, and we were discussing how even though we are both veterans of the sport, we both managed recently to fall into Brads trap of having a really short target, then a long one, and that can make you forget to reset your turret and thereby shoot over the top of the far target, when we heard Brad say thats exactly what he did.... funny old life, isn't it?

As my last match while being in my fifties, I somehow managed to get a decent score, kinda went out with a bang! Gray shot his personal best high score this go round, I am eager to see how he improves when he starts in piston class soon.

Our next match is on the 27th of April, due to the Bayou airgun club hosting their Cajun Spring classic next weekend, its going to be fun!!

God Bless

Tuning  An attempt to fix an Inaccurate barrel pics included

One thing comes to my mind. Many a times the users commit some such wrong act while cleaning the barrel that the barrel gets affected and accuracy goes South.

But the user doesn't share his part of the wrong doing with the tuner.

The tuner trusts the user that the user didn't touch the barrel.

In such scenario a strange situation arises in which the tuner stands correct in his place as he doesn't receive correct feedback.

I have witnessed this in other areas like attempts of the users to fix the regulators and they ruined the regulators but they claim that they didn't do anything to the regulator. In case of regulators, the tuner quickly understands that the user is not giving correct statement.

I am also thinking that how much possibility of such an incidence can be in this case.

That really bugs the crap out of me when people do that. It would save a lot of headache if the person was just honest and told the truth. I wish people would understand, that they aren’t really getting away with anything by giving it the “I don’t know what happened…I was just using it as normal(wether it be a car, pcp, whatever).

Technicians, police officers, Drs, etc are all professionals at what they do. To try and tell them any different or lie between your teeth just makes you the afternoon humor story amongst their peers. Just be honest. The professionals will actually respect you even more so
