Sheridan  Shooting the Bluestreak at 75 yards!

That is really cool in itself.
I have an old one from somewhere? that has no cross hairs. No noise in it? Maybe they forgot them and QC had the day off?
Lol
I remember looking at a BB gun scope in the hardware store had no cross hairs , no turrets , didn't buy as it was big money @ $ 3.50
I have a wide angle scope ,actually looks like an oval lens , haven't tried it yet .

4 different BBs, 3 different barrels — accuracy with Daisy 499B airgun

Res ipsa loquitur: smaller numbers = tighter groups

I think I’ll go with Barrel 3 and the inexpensive Daisy Precision Max BBs (or Hornady Black BBs) for every day offhand 5 meter shooting.

It seems clear that Barrel 1 (the original barrel that came with the 498B) is the least accurate with any BB, so I’m happy I sprung for the 2 other Barrels (sold by Daisy for only $12 each plus shipping).

It seems also clear that Daisy Unplated Shot is an excellent BB in all the barrels (but the most expensive of the lot at about 1¢ per round). I’m not so impressed with Daisy Precision Ground Shot (often touted as the BB made specifically for the Daisy 499B smooth bore “rifle”).

The good news: all this shooting cost me well under $4 for the ammo. Gotta love shooting steel BBs!

PCP Rifle  SOLD Edgun Lelya 2.0 Prestine Condition .22

I’m selling my beautiful Lelya 2.0 in .22. The gun is bone stock as it came from Edgun West. Selling to pay for a 👻. Comes with 4 magazines, fill probe and a UTG soft case. No leaks. Asking $1400 shipped paypal f&f please. Sorry I don’t have the cheesy box it came in. The lighting was weird when taking these photos that’s why they aren’t the same . It’s more like the top pic.

N/A  .177 urban pesting

@AntiRodentTaskForce , I have what I think is a 1st Gen S200 with moderator. I adore that little laser and it is so quiet with its moderator. Someone tuned it before I got it. I recently acquired 2 other PCPs in .22, both aftermarket moderated and they are quite loud in comparison. I probably need to study up on tuning to make the .22s more backyard friendly.

Hawke Vantage 1-4X Turkey dot scope for airguns

I took a look at the Athlon and it does seem to fill the bill quite nicely. Everything is a tradeoff. It's twice the weight and I don't really need PA in such a low power scope. On the other hand, if I do want PA, for the weight almost any 3-9x or 4-12x will weigh the same.
Choices, choices, choices.
I do have the athlon helos btr 1-4.5x24 and really like it . For a pesting/hunting inside 50 or 60 yards pellet gun the scope is fantastic. It has nice reticle I believe it's a 1/2 moa dot inside a 12 moa circle, adjustable parallax mine will focus down around 12 feet , and a FOV@ 100y of 100-22 ft ( that's where the 3-9s and 4-12 are going to struggle to keep up with this scope).
Keep an eye on cameraland for a sale .

Yong Heng, Radiator vs Ice, my results so far (Video added)

While a radiator would be fun to fiddle with and would make sense if I were charging bottles one after another all day long, I've found that starting with a big enough tub of cold enough water gets a full charge on my 3 L bottle without overheating the pump. YMMV pick a method that suits your style.

Countdown is on! ⏳ Last Day to sign up is April 16th.

I have some logistics questions if anyone has answers:

1) What distances are available for site-in? Would be great to have past 100, but a 50 yd zero is important for the PRS shooters.

2) Will a site-in be available / allowed before the PSC event (day of), or do we have to rely on Wednesday's zero?

3) What kind of air is available? Are there stations to fill scba tanks? If so can we rely on filling to at least 250 bar?

Thank you!
Sight in distances are available out to 100 yards on Wednesday. There are no sight ins after Wednesday. There is an air filling station available for refilling competitors air tanks. There are also several air tanks positioned throughout the event for shooters to refill their rifles.

Midwest Airgun Show - Ohio June 1st, 2024

I’m just getting into air guns. So far this forum has been enough to feel completely in over my head.

I’m in NE Ohio, and wonder if I should make the trip down as I haven’t ran across any air rifle shops locally. The fear is that I don’t know a thing yet, and am worried it would be an overwhelming experience.
It would be the best way to learn and see a large variety of things.

Plus for some it is a less overhead cost per sale so you can get better deals there.

Other  Smallest break barrels on market?

My rifle has RWS Diana mod.27 Made in West Germany 78 stamped on it. The rifle is accurate, but the trigger is crappy. I'm thinking of selling the rifle in the near future because I don't like the trigger.
Thank you - that's truly fascinating!

It's possible the factory mis-stamped it. But a more likely explanation might be that the 27 and 26 used the same receiver tube, and that this is a very early gun, using an old 27 tube out of the parts bin. The 1978 date supports that theory, as the model 26 wasn't introduced until the early 1980's. Either way, you've got a very interesting piece there.

I've seen similar weird things on Diana guns, and I suspect they may well have sent some of their "clean out the parts bins" oddballs to the US with RWS stamps on 'em, LOL.

N/A  older .20

You'd have to check for sure, but I think UK made Webley's had a few models with the .20 option.
There was also the Turk built Webley Valuemax that came in .20. I know, I have 4 of them.
Daystate used to. Pretty sure Air Force still has at least one and don't forget for a minute about the Theoben's.
zrman already mentioned the D34, although a special run of 30 rifles was done around 2005-2006. I know because I have #15 of those 30 made.
