AEA  AEA HP SS .25 Blowback Action in 960 FPS Slow Motion

so they update HP to SF.
You say need use correct pressure so SF adding regulator make the pressure not change.
You say use poppet valve. SF use new one.
You say need better magazines they have better CNC magazines.

Then you said AEA know it but do nothing?
I would buy another AEA pcp, they are receiving parts now. For the price range look at what they have. For accuracy they give FX a run for their money, Pro models for power, i don't think anyone can deny that one and constantly improving. There is only 1 or 2 other pcps that can equal that of the big 9 stock, it smokes the M357 , 30 cal long barrel Challenger is another power house just to name a few. Look where they started from and look where they are now. some of the Pcps from other makers are going for $ 2000.00 are you getting that much more? I dont think so, not from a hunting stand point.

FX  FX M3 22 my first PCP

Chukar,
amen to market bling! I’m leaning toward buying the rifle new with any trick installed by a reputable dealer, i.e. power block, Barrel tensioner, etc. if you were buying any of your M3’s again, what would you buy new in terms of tricking them out? It seems there’s quite an aftermarket in used bling at sufficient discount to make it and appealing proposition for such things as I might find appropriate, but I’m not generally a fan of hanging every available contraption on anything I care to use.. I hope you’ll reply to my question and I thank you again for your comment.
Edo.

My suggestion for any new M3 buyer is that no matter what you plan to shoot out of it, buy 1000 pellets and just shoot it. It will take that many to break it in and let it settle. Given a convenient air source you can shoot 1000 pellets in no time at all.
Then buy pellets in a couple weights. For example on 22 cal 18 & 25 gr pellets. You will need two different tunes for those weights. Then learn to tune the gun. An Impact is a poor choice for someone not willing to learn to tune. Rather defeats the reason to own one.
Once you have wrapped your head around tuning for pellets, move up to slugs if you like. It is not a big step. You will now have the foundation required to tune for slugs. You will understand the interaction between the hammer and the plenum. You won’t be on here asking about a tungsten hammer just because some YouTuber said it was a great idea.
Once you have attained that level of comfort with your M3 you can make an informed decision as to what aftermarket products would benefit you.
I am not anti-aftermarket. My needs from an Impact do not require them. I am against people people buying an M3 and then start hanging every accessories that they can off it without a competent knowledge of what it is supposed to and how to measure the actual benefit.

The Impact is the most hyped and over exposed air gun in the world. The same can be said for the aftermarket products produced for it.
Unfortunately, the preponderance of aftermarket products and the marketing and exposure have created two false narratives.
One: the Impact needs all of this to perform. No it does not
Two: all of this high performance stuff is simple and any moron can do it. No they cannot. Tuning takes time to understand. There is no shortcut to that reality. The higher the performance the More knowledge and experience it is going to take to achieve. Simply hanging goodies off your Impact and twisting and turning dials without a pretty thorough understanding about what is going in the gun will produce nothing but another FX hater.
Keep your expectations in the realm of reality. Don’t try to turn your Red Ryder into a 300 Win Mag and you will enjoy it.
Tungsten hammers and plenum pressures in the 170 - 180 range will beat your valve mercilessly. The gun will do it. but for how long and how reliably?

Mechanical or Electronic?

Keeping an open mind I would like to try the electronic trigger and the faster lock time of these platforms however I'm pretty sure my groups wouldn't improve as I'm satisified with my mechanical triggers, Daystate FX Taipan I'm good. Printed this 5 shot .3" cc group last evening with my Bobcat .25 six year old gun benched at 49 yards, (double checked the range) it isn't even my best trigger...Electric trigger...I doubt it!
I'll send it to you Bill...You know my feelings...lol.
In a PCP air rifle, assuming a proper stock and rest, and good trigger technique, any difference in results between lock times of any quality fire control systems is immaterial. I'm open for correction, but that's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

AEA  25 inches between shots, not grouping

In October 2022, new JTS Airacuda Max .25 arrived from Pyramyd Air. Cleaned barrel with PatchWorm/Ballistol, installed scope. Loud clang and accuracy, similar to yours, resulted. Later determined installer failed to tighten stack bolt down on 5-piece baffle arrangement inside shroud between muzzle and end cap. Pellet deformed, after hitting loose parts, spiraling while attempting to self-stabilize which led to zero accuracy. WM

PCP Rifle  SOLD Uragan Compact .22

Just got this gun in for barn use, however another gun that I've wanted for a long time became available for a price I couldn't refuse. Great little gun and shoots very good. I tuned to 13fpe but will be turning it back up to the 815fps with 16gr pellets it came as. Gun has a few marks but nothing crazy. Did not come with moderator when I got it so no moderator. Asking $1000 shipped. Red dot and arca adapter are not included. No trades.

Fairfield Sportsmen's Association 100-Yard Benchrest Match Results 4/13/24

I try to avoid using the term “luck”. I said “coin flip” since up until the last year or so, the skill levels were so close that statistically no single shooter or shooters were standing out from the pack. And I did mention Thayne and Nickolay as the ones starting to change my mind. In my opinion, they are the only 2 that have had a consistent string of solid performances, not just in the top 10-20, but in the top 3-5 spots. That is a testament to their high skill level. But, I am also wondering if Thayne’s performance isn’t just his skill, but also a little bit of equipment advantage. He still has to perform at a very high level and have the mental fortitude to hold it all together. But even a slight advantage from the Red Panda could push him to the front of the field if he makes no major mistakes. His run of wins is phenomenal and unprecedented. We’ll have to wait to see if that guess is true. When the Red Panda starts getting into the hands of shooters, will they have enough confidence to swap with what they’re currently using? That would be an indicator the gun may be better. And of course, wins and podium finishes will answer the question definitively.

We have 14 benches at FSA and we draw for benches. Only one less than they have at the NAC. So, I guess we could hold a 5th major if we felt like it. We’ve had as many as 17 shooters so we’ve had to run 2 heats a couple times. Then its up to the luck of the draw with wind conditions.
I'd say Jeffrey Henandez @jeffhernandez would be in that list above Nicolay but behind Thayne, with Keith Gibson and Fady Kiwan in there on same level as Nicolay... So that's five, not two shooters that have proven that they are favored in the coin flip.
I agree with you that the RP may have given Thayne just enough of a smidge of an advantage to take him over the top. He's always been near the top with his Impact anyway... We'll see how he does this year, and it starts this weekend at the NAC.
I wouldn't really call the NAC or PAC a "major", but a level right below major. We can call them a major once they start getting 150+ shooters.

Barrels  SOLD FX Impact M3 .25 cal 800mm barrel kit w/custom moderated shroud + magazine + pellet/pin probe + Superior Slug liner (final SOLD price drop)

Everything you need ready to go for an affordable price (not $400 as retail). Additionally, I am including a side shot magazine and pin+pellet probe for your convenience. A few marks on the barrel, but the price more than makes up for it. The shroud has baffles inside; it’s an integrated moderator. Liner is a Superior Heavy 1:18 and like new.

I have heard great results from 38 grain H&Ns, NSAs, and 37 grain Zans…on par with .22 or even better. Steve Brew has had amazing shots with his .25 cal Punisher a.k.a. Impact M3 (200-350 yards) on rabbits. He’s got a superb setup.

Reason for selling is that I have no use for .25 cal as I am shooting slugs in .22 cal around 30 grains or less.

SOLD shipped TYD
