I have the tube model .25 avenge-X that is shooting 1/4” at 50 yards and around the 3/4” mark at 100 with the right pellets. I have not tuned for slugs yet, but I’ve seen others with great results.

Rifle field target and pistol field target match is ready Sunday. I don’t have lots of pics. Was in the woods for eight hours today setting up. Jeff Swartz came right after work and help me get the courses finished. Thanks for helping me out. My knees were killing me by the time I got home. Steps hurt like hell. LOL Jeff and I got the dedicated pistol course setup and ready to shoot. I know it’s Father’s Day but if you come to shoot with us, we greatly appreciate it. Pistol course is really cool, and the rifle course is challenging. Brandon Michaud already told me that he has water for all the shooters and will be on ice in the coolers. Thank you for that Brandon. Lanes are all really clean, I weed trimmed them all down, and the shooting areas. Bring anything you keep you cool on Sunday. Hope to see you all there. @everyone

Look up a few threads to find the other avenger leak thread a pm tpatner. That stinks and even though you needed to take nothing apart to change a probe oring at least you found this all out right out of the gate and it will come apart easier next time.

Ya. Similar to mine. The heads are definitely not very crisp / even. I’m wondering if this will affect accuracy. Intuitively I think it will but practically not sure

No substitute for good glass and great ranging.

If you go on Youtube, search Carette Compressor. There are rebuild videos online. It's most likely a buildup of gunk in the upper cylinder check valve assembly. Take it apart and clean the components and it will build pressure again as it did previously.

Yes, that foam looks pretty cool. I saw it says 2 slugs and it looks like the slugs are the biggest for picture and function. Those look about 450 gn pretty long slugs. The ones I'm using in my 45 cal carbine are 250gn @ 3/4" long each. If I had an exact measurement I would decide if I wanted to purchase. After tax and shipping the box is $37. For 4 slugs that would be good but for me if it's 2 slugs I'll just carry 4 in a muzzleloader reloader in my pocket. I'll give the foam a try if all else fails. Here's what the 250gn will bring down 30 to 65 yds

Glad it settled down and is working so well. My Caiman problems were partially because it was so well machined and partially bad assembly, I think. Somebody used an abundance of silicone grease on the end of the regulator body where it mates to the plenum piece. That is the vent path but it doesn't work if you smear up the metal to metal interface with grease. But once that was fixed it still wouldn't vent properly until I removed a portion of one thread that was covering the vent hole with a diamond burr. If the threads had not been so well machined it would have worked fine, I think. It works fine now but my ES is usually more than 9 (but under 20). It's producing low 30s fpe on a 100 bar reg setting so I think the flow path must be very open. That does not tend to reduce ES or std deviation.

Yes, I understand, I also would hate to use a program that was blatantly stolen from a gifted and very user oriented developer.

So, that eliminates ChairGun Elite (but not ChairGun Pro, an original Hawke product).


I have paid for Strelok Pro and therefore feel no remorse for using an APK file I found on the interwebs. As soon as the embargo against the developer is lifted, I will delete that file and use a regular downloaded version from an app store.

In fact, I hate subscription models with a passion, for apps and software.
But if Strelok would ever decide on a subscription, I would pay without hesitation. It's just so good.

Tough to judge real sound from a recording through my phone speaker. Have you tried the Decibel-x app for your phone so you can get Db readings?
