I have this same scope, as well as a Ares BTR FFP, I prefer the 2nd FP Midas, the glass seems better than the Ares.Have an Athlon Midas BTR, gen2, 4.5x27x50 on my Bobcat. LOVE everything about it. Clicks, glass, reticle, ruggedness, love it all.
Is what the gun was worthy of. I actually sold it full disclosure of problems at a great loss and the buyer ended up keeping the barrel I think Trashed the rest. I was wrong..it was actually a Gen 2. I have a jts that has many parts that look similar. I was super super hesitant to buy that because it looked darish but it has been great. I never shoot it but it has been super accurate every time I have and has always held air perfectly.tell us how you really feel
Thank-you sir. That muzzle velocity is consistent for a 78g in original configuration. I've run a few of my 78gs across a chrono, and the ones with rebuilt original exhaust valves were 355-370 fps. Those with the white replacement valves were 405-415 fps average. The service manual lists 320 fps as the factory minimum velocity for the first 20 shots from a new CO2 cartridge.
Good luck!If you consider the Karma Red Panda an AEA, I'll take that bet!
On a serious note, if you look at the list of shooters in the Pro 100Y BR event, it has the feel of a World Championship. I'm just hoping I can make the Finals...

OK if ya have a lot of free play on the piston shaft when its inside the main spring?put the shrink wrap on the shaft will snug it up ,but not tight.lightley grease the out side of the main spring.Ya might have to resize the main seal?should go down the tube with not much pursuer. Mine is one of the frist TX they were probable a little tighter?OK everybody go ahead and haight me.I don’t understand the shrink wrap tubing on the guide but would like to know about it. I’m near sea level also.
Correct, it would of had a handpump that would screw into the fitting hidden under the buttplate. How was it pressurized/filled with air? Did they carry a hand pump of some sort back then?
Thanks, I think I got their mother 2 weeks ago now that I think about it. It was in the same area.Great shots on both and nice pics!
You won’t regret the Atomic even if it’s a little more pricey nowYep!
Oh that looks bad, Got to take a video of it in action, I alway thought a potato gun would be so much better shooting golf balls or tennis balls
It’s just for inflation of tractor and other big tires. Modified bead blaster. Dual duty and safer than starting fluid. I’ve burned myself getting tires seated lol so I speak from experience.
Thanks!!Absolutely fantastic shooting and tune there! That's a LONG way to shoot and even see....Great pics!
