Another starling, this one with GK1 .22

Here’s a couple more, with a different other side of the curtain piece

“From Russia With Love…”

The first one that was really hit was 68 yards . I walked it in on a few earlier ones. 2.5 mils holdover holding 1 right for wind. There’s nothing that sounds like a Zan slug hitting something! 22 grn at 950

.

Like I said before, I don't want to lower the reg, it is perfect for 18gr pellets. To lower the internal regulator I must disassemble the rifle to get to the regulator inside the tube. Also, I don't want to shoot 14gr as the permanent choice of pellet, that is what I use 18gr for.
I understand, you would most likely have to disassemble the rifle to remove the plenum. Figured it was same work. Otherwise it seems either you accept the current results or ditch the 14.3 and go 15.9g which would be closer to the 18g in performance.

Tuning  unchoked cal.22 ammo questions

Ohh, yes yes yes... well ,.Im here to talk about the UNCHOKED barrel.

The other type of comments and personal attacks, apart from laughing at them, I don't even reply, because I have already said before, I am not interested in anything other than talking about the UNCHOKED cannon and the ammo that it likes.

Competition-worthy Shooting benches.

Nice job. Looks beautiful.
My club is getting into American Rimfire Association (ARA) this summer. They just removed the old gravel and poured concrete and installed twelve shooting positions. Absolutely beautiful job.

Very solid but 4 full blocks plus a top is to tall for many, see bench in post #17. We figured it out after building benches ad tops almost identical to these. We redid them, lots of extra work.

From which point do you range your targets?

There are two points of interest when ranging and calculating the trajectory and the needed compensation.

Drop/windage calculations are from the rifle’s MUZZLE.

Drop/windage compensation is from the scope’s GIMBAL.

Those two points can be far enough apart on an airgun to make a difference in certain situations. Certainly on very close shots (10yds to 15yds), but also possible on very far shots (>200yds) where a lot of correction is needed.

Shelleen posting for Brink

Very low turnout for the May match. I think the forecast for heavy rain and wind was the main reason but the rain stopped early and the wind wasn't that strong but it was crazy, quickly switching directions all the time.

Finally got a night vision scope!

Got it as a Christmas present and finally got around to mounting it onto a rifle I didn't use anymore. Definite nighttime fun for back deck shooting. Added another light as I felt the one that came with it wasn't good enough. Have no issues with it at short & long range. Just had to get used to looking through a video camera and adjust the brightness as needed. Batteries don't last that long if you are using it more than an hour. I view it more as a toy but would recommend it.

FX Panthera - Redefining Precision in Airgun Innovation

FX Panthera - Redefining Precision in Airgun Innovation

The FX Panthera – a revolutionary slug rifle designed by FX Airguns, sets a benchmark in precision competition. (As evidenced even at our own NorthEast Airgun Classic) Building upon the storied heritage of FX Airguns, the FX Panthera was engineered to shatter the performance limits of air rifles, delivering a level of technology, accuracy, and versatility that astounds both competitors and enthusiasts alike.

At the heart of the Panthera's cutting-edge technology lies the Dynamic Block, a reimagined breech block meticulously crafted for unparalleled slug firing performance. The cornerstone of this system is the innovative High-Power/Short-Impulse Valve, a compact design with remarkable airflow capacity and efficiency, ensuring consistent power delivery shot after shot.

Fueling the Panthera's remarkable capabilities is the Dynamic Plenum. This over-the-barrel plenum design envelops the barrel with a precisely controlled pressurized plenum, enhancing barrel rigidity and allowing for adaptable plenum lengths to suit varying calibers and power levels. The AMP MKII Regulator guarantees precise pressure control, maintaining optimal performance with each trigger pull.

Crafted with competition in mind, the Panthera stock is a marvel of ergonomic design. Featuring a barricade block near the breech and a 14.75" Arca rail adorned with M-LOK sections, the Panthera's balance can be fine-tuned using internal FX Barrel Weights or external M-LOK-compatible weights. The fully adjustable buttstock and ambidextrous cheekpiece ensure a tailored fit for every shooter. The air supply, a 300cc carbon fiber bottle, is conveniently affixed at the rear and utilizes a foster quick disconnect for swift refills.

The Panthera includes an enlarged breech capable of accommodating projectiles up to 13mm in length. The Standard Side-Shot Magazine remains a staple, now boasting a deeper lid to accommodate longer slugs. Parallel to the FX Impact M3, the Quick Tune System empowers users to fine-tune their experience. A 20MOA Picatinny scope rail, zero-angle AR grip, and adaptable ambidextrous side lever cocking handle enhance versatility. Dual-angled manometers on the block grant visibility into both bottle pressure and controlled plenum pressure.

Elevate your Panthera experience further with a range of accessories. Enhance stability with a bag rider, fine-tune balance with barrel weights and offset M-LOK weights, and explore options like the competition Mini-Mag and Picatinny accessory sections. An optional tungsten hammer offers yet another layer of customization. The FX Panthera is a masterpiece that embodies the performance of a precision 22LR, marked by minimal recoil and the peerless accuracy and precision.
