A last update from me.
I've given up, the pistol has won.
More than a week of daily spraying of a local Kroil alternative hasn't worked.
I tried the hole in a wooden board trick, but it couldn't find enough grip.

I'm leaving it as is, as I have a fine perfectly working pistol. I don't want to damage it.
I tried to lubricate the piston seal through the exit port with neatsfoot oil. Setting the pistol upright for a while. Manually pumping the piston.
My final fps readings stayed the same, around 380.

So the only thing I'm left with is an unused Protek upgrade kit in mainland Europe. If anyone is looking for one, message me.

I made a couple of nice improvements to the Rifle Rest that I made last year. For the front and rear “Yokes” that cradle the rifle, I originally used some 3/8" stainless round rod bent to shape. I slipped some soft plastic tubing over to rods to secure and protect the rifle.

Today I used some 1-1/4" wide stainless flat bar bent to shape to replace the rod giving a lot more surface for support and securing. After welding the flat bar to the mounting plate or rod I applied three coats of liquid rubber to protect the rifle.

Last photo shows a rifle on the Rest and with this improved rubber surface area to “grip”, it is like the gun is glued in place. There is almost no movement of the rifle even when I cock it. I shot some paper targets this morning and this thing is rock solid.

Cheapest .510 slugs are like $.30/ct. Good ones are $.50/ct. .45 are cheaper, but not that much. Refill time after two mags (2x6) is about 20 minutes with portable 12v pump. Shooting groups for leisure is not for big bore guns unless you bring air with you. A lot of air at high PSI.

For deer at 50-100 yards 2x2 groups is fine. 4x4 is fine, too.

When the barrel is bent the worst thing is not the lack of groups consistency. No, it will shoot more or less fine at a fixed distance. But you set the scope at 50 yards, move the target to 100, and can't hit the paper target at all. The slug flies a curve to the side, like there's extra gravity force pulling the projectile in the plane of the crooked barrel. And with pressure and FPS dropping, the curve changes a lot, too. So no real life predictability where this slug may go.

Even just observing, no shooting , improves everything .

Hi team, I'm tracking down all the leaks I have on my bobcat and it seems the last one is coming from my foster fitting, down anyone know how to remove the foster from the copper pipe regulator for the bobcat mark 1.
I have tried top grip the black have a square ring at the top and tried turning the foster fitting but it started to bur the top black half nut hence wanted to confirm this is the correct way to disassemble this part.

One of the pins in the bottom of the side lever has loosened and interferes with the cocking. I'm wondering how difficult it is to install this.? I can't seem to find instructions.

i tested an rti prophet 1 and a p3, one has the assisted and the other the old school simple valve. to my ears the p3 had the loudest hammer strike. i cannot explain why. but i prefer the original valve. which is a more simple design no extra springs and orings and a p1 is a lighter in weight riffle

I would probably only go to 260-270 BAR in the end. But just wondering. Debating between getting FX Tanks or the Airmarksman larger 700CC.

70g evicerator slugs by dead lead. Those are my goto out of the panthera.. Ive tried all javlins, zans, h&n,knockouts,.
For long range kinda can not beat the 70g deadleads. Best i have tried.

Awsome thanks for the info! I’ve got some various Griffen slugs on the way but I’ll try those evecerators too.. would you mind sharing your reg settings etc?

Course is set (all 25 lanes) and ready for tomorrow morning. We will shoot 15 out of 25 lanes. Lanes 16-25 are optional for anyone who finishes their required 60 shots. This is a new course and will be open to any comments or suggestions for improvement.

That could be a lot of fun.

Just look at the top 5 winners of any long distance competition and the M3 sits at the top (for now). It's a tnnkerers dream?

Answering my own question (i think) I found some M16*4 bolts lying in my garage and tried it in there and they seem to fit. Completed my install with a little blue Loctite, Somebody please correct me if I installed incorrect thread in there.

Now I just need some scope rings high enough so that my scope does not touch the barrel and I can go shooting it .. I used one of the M-Lock provided screws in the slot and one M16*4 treads inside the second tapped holes from the end.

Yes I have plenty of those pellets including the new Hades and I might even try FX 22 grain Hybrid Slugs. We'll see, I never shoot past 50 yards except for testing purposes. Thanks for the info.

Try AA 16 and 18s. They were consistently the most accurate in my Atomics.
