Results  Field Target Match - Fairless Hills, PA-Sunday May 19, 2024

It was another beautiful day at Falls Township for a field target match as we kicked off our 2024 season last week. I want to thank everyone for coming out and supporting our match and a special thanks to John Tyler for stepping up and running the match at very late notice as I woke up quite a bit under the weather.

Sixteen people came out to accept the challenge of our woodland course which offered an array of challenging targets as well as some designed for our newer shooters. The course’s average distance was 26.6 yds. with a 26.0 Troyer including wind and lighting. Lots of great scores and a few new faces. John Tyler won the Hunter Division and overall high score with a perfect 60! Mark King was the high WFTF with a 54, Brian Vanliew took open class with a 59 and Scott Whitlock was high Pistol Hunter with a 22.

A special thanks to everyone for their participation and helping clean up. Our next match is an outdoor rifle & pistol silhouette match on 16 June and our next field target event will be 21 July. Hope to see everyone there!

FX Maverick Sniper vs Compact - What's your choice?

I’m confused as to why you bought a new gun instead of the 600mm barrel kit and put it on the compact. I have a wildcat and maverick. And all three barrels. I can mix and match depending on the activity and type of ammo.
My compact is a .22 and the VP is a .25. I really don't like swapping barrels. I know it's easy, but you still have to re-tune it in some cases or at least zero it it. I know when I pull the rifle out of the case, it's ready to go as is.

Umarex  Sloppy Cocking Lever on Umarex Gauntlet

Ugh, I'm sorry. There's a few videos on YT that helped me out but I can't recall any one video.
I will say this, get the stock off of it and you can access it easily. The rear bolt on the trigger assembly is what holds everything together. I don't advocate this but I just pull that bolt out (carefully and slowly! Spring tension), pull the cap off the top rear of the action then pull the next cap (I believe it unscrews) directly below and then you'll be into the hammer and spring.
I would post some pics but UX has had my gun for months. Hope this helps, even a little.

Other  "Sub MOA all day" Challenge

Excellent shooting in the 30y challenge. That's one accurate Vet you have. I ran across MOA challenge target where you try to hit .250" dots at 25 yards. I shot this one with 18g AEAs and my Vet standard. Should be a cake walk for you . It's under a thread by ThomasT that has various targets . I raised my bags for more comfort but I'm going to start using a better table. The misses are all on me .

Nardi Atlantic P

My Nardi looks identical to motorhead's and while "portable"; adding wheels to one end of the roll cage is VERY helpful. I would guess it is at least 70#.
They are really good compressors, but you do not move them around with one hand like a Yong Heng!

I would have liked the auto shut off and auto venting but they take a "great white" tank from 3k to 4500 very fast. It's not like you are standing around waiting. Again, mine is on 220vac.
