Hatsan  Hastan Factor RC Sniper-L (Video Review)

Hatsan has no quality. They are really crap.
And yet I have several that just work as designed. Pellets in, pellets out, pests and targets dead. I did break a few things modifying them but that isn't Hatsan's fault. Amazing how after 2-3 years I haven't seen the issues whined so much about. But then most of the whiners have never owned a Hatsan or pretty much any rifle, AEA, they whine about.

Where they do fail is HEAVY.

I hope someone can use this information.
Thanks for sharing your trials with us! That's more information and certainly more pictures of the internals than I've been able to find so far. Thanks again!

Scba tank warning

In CO2 tanks a 'siphon tube' is inserted into the valve to pull the liquid CO2 from the bottom of the tank. Since these tanks are used upside down, it would probably have the opposite effect. To keep the firefighter from breathing in any possible moisture?
You're probably talking about a dip tube to goes to the very bottom, like in a can of spray paint, right? The tube in these things only goes a couple inches, like in a propane valve. But yeah the reason is probably is still the same, to keep them from breathing moisture.

Massive Groundhog Infestation

I’ll pass something along that you guys might find interesting if you don’t already know it. It may help as you try to stay out ahead of a groundhog population. I’ve hunted a couple farms for groundhogs for over 40 years. A field that has 10 mounds, a groundhogs house, for two years or so gets all the groundhogs cleaned off and mounds flattened. Eventually groundhogs will find that mound, even if we can’t tell where it was and reopen it. So once they take up residence, even under a shed, rouge grundys will eventually find the abandoned groundhog house and set up shop.
True true.

Have seen the very same thing myself over the course of 25 years in my back hayfield.
No need to leave seed stock, they shall return.

HW/Weihrauch  hw90 Pump Needed

I use the ROCKSHOX 600 PSI pump Schrader adapter with teflon tape to pump up my HW90/.25. Works great, adapter cost 9 bucks:
Rockshox Monarch Air Valve Adaptor Tool
Use small metal rod to tap out pressure. For this unit, using either old DIANA MAGNUM 20grain or H&N FTT 20.06grain, i get 19.0FPE from factory setting with 60LBS cocking effort, ~18.51 FPE=20BAR with easy 40LBS cocking effort; 12.5FPE=14/15BAR with very easy cocking. BAR measurements using Rockshox High Pressure Fork & Shock Pump-
Cocking force measured with bathroom spring scale. The brass AOA Quick connect male to Schrader valve only works if I take off stock, because our Benjamin hand pump's female QC head is to big, causing interference with stock.

Arken Zulus Support and Educational Information

Thanks for the info.
Ive mentioned this several times before, here at AGN.
I suspect that many web surfers in United States, have no idea that they are automatically being re-directed to a different web site.
In my opinion, the arken U.S. web site its a dis-service, and is NOT Arkens main web site.

Arkens latest and greatest products, are not even mentioned on the US site.
Its almost as if Arken has been hijacked ???
I choose to take my United States buisness elsewhere, as a result.
I really like Arkens products, but Im not a fan of whomever the mystery person is, that runs the Arken US web site.

Moral of the story:
If "US" is in the URL, then you are NOT on Arkens main web site, and your being short changed on the latest products and information!

Ear protection while filling gun

Hey Guys,
I wanted to share with you something that happened to me , now, a month ago.
While filling my Crown mk2, I had "attached" my quick fill from my cf bottle to the filling port on the Crown, making "sure" that it was fully locked, so I thought. I started building pressure in the micro bore hose. At about 2500 psi , the qd came loose. Luckily, I make it a habit not to stand over the filling port while filling, just in case . Well, the hose did not hit me but the sound sure did.
I'm not sure what the malfunction was because the l locking sleeve was tight, so i thought. SOB, that was loud.
For a month now, my right ear has been plugged and it sounds like ocean breakers in that ear. I haven't sought medical help yet but in another month , I will.
Won't hurt to take time to put in foam ear protection while filling. I am.
Hopefully, this sharing will make you think about ear protection while filling your pcp. As much as I love the beach, it's never ending noise can get tiring.
Thanks for reading,
Mike
Things that will help
#1 ice the affected area/ear. 15 minutes at a time for a few times a day - this will calm the injured tissues. It works wonders!
#2 rub peppermint oil around the ear and eustachian tube descending from behind your ear… towards your throat- it’s a vasodilator.

RTI  RTI owner Rok shares all the coolest features built into the new Mora!

I know I bitch constantly about the price of guns, and I have spent the money on some that were Very disappointing, but the RTI guns are worth the money

I have bought Many of the High-End guns, sold most of them for one reason or another, but the One gun that I will never sell is my P2 Performance Tuned By Francisco 2.0. This gun has consistently been the best by far.

I know the Mora is in pre order stage, but is there an estimated actual release date?
I wish, still waiting. Ordered in December

Airgun Technologies  (New PCP Pistol by AGT) Airgun Technology MANUL now available!

There is a spring plate and a ratchet pawl, the pellet probe shoulder then moves the spring plate downward just after the pellet is loaded, then when you retract the bolt the mag spins to the next position. So at no point is there any sideward pressure on the pellets.

RTI  Can the RTI Prophet 2.1 (.22) be tuned to shoot CPHPs?

My .25 cal RTI barrel shoots slugs and pellets equally well, actually a little less finicky with the pellets I have tried. I have not however tried a low power tune as that does not fit my use for the rifle. As for adjusting. For the PCP's I've owned this one is the easiest by far. Reg can be set both ways with the rifle aired up, the hammer spring doesn't need fiddled with for the sweet spot (but a few clicks on way or the other can dial in a projectile), and the rifle doesn't have to be taken apart whatsoever to do any of it. Figure out what reg pressure with how many hammer spring clicks it likes with that setting and projectile and have at it.

HW/Weihrauch  Yep! It Happened Again,,,

View attachment 476102
I know what you mean when you see a great deal and can't pass it up. I was looking hard for a Beeman R7 or HW30S, and no one had new ones, and used ones were overpriced. Then I stumbled upon this HW50 Hunter in .177, that already had a TnT spring kit added as well as a Rowan extra setback trigger, and had a Hawke Airmax 3x9 on it. The light marks on the stock are actually interesting grain patterns. there were no blemishes on it at all. Two weeks after getting it, the Beeman R7s became available again, and I ended up finding a good deal one of those too.
A few years ago, I bought that exact same Hawke Vantage scope for one of my rimfires. I discovered that the point of impact shifted as the magnification changed. One the first scope it shifted straight to the right about 5/8 in at 25 yards. So I sent it back for replacement. On the replacement, I locked it in a vice (using the rings) and checked for point of aim shift before mounting it, and the replacement shifted down and to the right about 5/8 in at 20 yards. So, I sent that one back and bought a Leupold EFR 3X9 and it was perfect. I do have two Hawke Airmax scopes, and a Hawke crossbow scope that are great.
Anyway, you might want to lock your HW50 in a padded vice centered on a target at 7X, then turn it down to 2x and check for shift. Hopefully my two bad Vantages were just flukes from the same run of scopes.
After shooting centerfire Bench Rest, both short range (100-300) as well as 600 yards, for over 40 years, I have become kind of a scope snob. The one scope that was eliminated years ago, was any that said LEUPOLD on them!! A lot of competitors use them, but in BR competition, they the most returned scopes in use. Even the old Weaver 36X with not quite as good of glass in them proved more reliable for me.

My only problem with this lightweight outfit in POI shift is from bench, to offhand. I'm sure zI will find the hold I need to obtain the same poi for both. But out of 8 other springers, this is the only one I'm seeing this with.

But any scope I buy or acquire immediate goes thru a range of test. groups of 5 shots on a 2-7 will see 2x, 4x, and 7x. A 4-12 would be tested the same at 4x, 8x, 12x. I also shoot them at the same distance be 12 25 yards for air guns, 50 yards for rimfires, or 100 yards for most centerfires adjusting the parallax under and beyond the distance I am testing at to make sure when my eye is centered in the scope, they shoot to the same POI.

I also have an old Vantage 2-10x44 SF that has been on 3 or 4 different springers over the past decade and a half. never a hiccup. But right now with 5 Airmax, and two vantage the only one I have had trouble with was a brand new 4-16-50 IR SF, the most expensive Hawks I own. the replacement has been spot on.

I also have used the XB-30 Pro since it was introduced with the old steel sled mount on it. It was nice, but when they went to 30mm tubes on those scopes with infinite IR, I replaced all three of my crossbow scope to the new one, I currently run 2 on my bows, and have one brand new setting in the box in case that bugs hits me and I find another special Excalibur worth buying,,, the only crossbow I will hunt with.

But that's it, anything requiring under .1" moa capability, it will be Night Force, March, or Kales. But I have been using Sightron's mostly 8-32x50 and just bought 2 10-50x60's, one for a varmint rig, and one for a test against my NF 10-55x50 on my favorite 600 yard gun. To be honest, the NF is slightly better glass, but performance and repeatability is looking just as good.

My problem with shooting the extreme accuracy game for so long is now as I age, the travel the time loading and cleaning, and getting back to the line in time is becoming more work than fun. So, I'm now turning this into the same tail chasing game with my air rifles! The ones I had for years that were perfectly fine, no longer entice me, and I am running the gambit from plinkers to target guns and have to try everything in the top tier in each category to be satisfied. Problem is, when I find a better one, to replace something I already have, I cant part with the ones I'm trying to replace???

Again and again and again. For 70 years its never changed, someday I'm going to have grandkids and son's that acquire a wealth of very nice toys!!!!

Like everyone has said, 145 bar isn't much and you have too much hammer weight. You can easily open that with a brass hammer or likely a stock hammer and heavier spring. I use a similar setup as you have now, but I am using a 35 cal and opening it near 190 bar. If you want to try a brass hammer, pm me your address and I can mail you a couple different weights as long as it is in the U.S.A.
Thanks buddy much appreciated, i am based in Egypt and currently in Congo for some work, i will try following all the advices and will let you know in 5 weeks. hopefully i will be sorted, thanks again
