DEW POINT

I’m assuming dropping into the “dew point” zone can happen at any given temperature/moisture condition? When these conditions are present as the air compresses around the front of the pellet the condensation can be forced out of the air then re-vaporized at the LP zone at the back of
the pellet? I’m assuming this can lead to destabilization?. A slow speed “12fb gun should be more stable in these conditions?. Assuming there is enough residual heat in the ground, a few inches to a foot or more could keep the atmosphere in the vaporization zone? “Shoot low😂” As far as mirage this is where some wind is your friend! Otherwise you have to wait for the boil to snap, fun, fun!

Flubbed on my Foray with Burris XTR Signature Scope Rings

Zero inserts mean just that. Zero change just as if you had rings with no inserts. If you follow the directions you install these first to see where the rifle is hitting. Then using the inserts with values you correct close to your desired impact point. Then use you normal torrents for final adjustments. I eyeball ring gap starting to tighten the ring screws Then when there is a bit of resistance I make sure gaps are even and tighten in an x a half a revolution at a time on all screws until the are torqued correctly. No feeler gauge needed.

Other  K&L part

I heard Kraford and Lyph is in the process of moving into a bigger shop. They are having to move and reset all of their equipment. From what I was told this is a huge process. Including 3 phase power to certain types of heavy duty flooring. The time it take for leveling and tramming all of the equipment, isn’t hours. But more like days of long hours.
I was understanding, they were hoping to be back in production here in the next week or so. But being a very small company with limited employees, that’s a lofty goal.
As buyers, please they build a very high quality product that takes time to manufacture and every thing they build is Made in the USA, right there in Seattle Washington.

Western Airguns  Western Mordax Venom, first impressions, and eventual ongoing review.

Can't take the $ with you to the other side so might as well.

I'm thinking of getting a 12 fpe Raw pistol but putting a AR rear stock and 700cc bottle on it to plink a whole tin of pellets without needing to fill again until all 500 are gone.

Or getting another Venom.

I haven't heard anything from that old guy who supposedly ordered a Venom, also tried calling both his numbers twice, so I'm guessing his wife kicked his "you know what" up one side and down the other, then cancelled the order, lol. No airgun for you old man.
Man those raw pistols are very accurate I shot one of the first prototypes in 20 Cal And it shot lights out. I would love one in 20 set up as a carbine for hunting. I know the smaller aluminum bottle at 12 foot pounds would it easily get 60+ shots.

FX  Tuning an fx impact mk2 22

In short there are multiple different ways to tune it lol . I mean no disrespect at all but is your goal raw power or accuracy with high shot count or a super low power tune for indoor pesting as a few examples of what I am trying to express / explain here . a lil more information would be very helpful .

Also if searched for here on the forums at AGN or on youtube there is an absolute plethora of information of what I was referring to above on how to tune it in any way you wish . It would benefit you as there is a lot to take in to account lol . We do understand if you are new to it as all of us were the same way at some time.

Heck some of the people here are so helpful and willing to share their knowledge it is not even funny haha .

A lil research or added information on what you are wanting to do would go along way . I hope this did not come across in a poor manor and welcome to the rabbit Hole haha . :coffee:
I want accuracy and shot count.

Who knows him?

I know him pretty well. He's ok, I wouldn't call him perfect as he sometimes forgets what he's up to. He runs a small HVAC business and works on airguns in his spare time (ha ha, like there's much of it). He also has some health issues that sometimes keep him from doing things, but he lives with it and moves on. But no complaints there.
I'm sure he didn't mean to snub you and just to be honest, he gets a lot of trade offers and sometimes can't even remember who asked what. He does a lot of tuning and tinkering and doesn't always follow messages well, ... which he should and will endeavor to perservere, and do better.
Lighten up a bit and remember, this is a hobby, it's supposed to be fun.

Airforce  The Last Airgun Standing: Talon P in .25

I’ve finally simplified my air gun setup. The Talon P in .25 caliber is now my only air gun, and honestly, it’s all I really need.
I don’t get out in the field as much as I used to, so when I do, I want something reliable, compact, and effective. The Talon P checks all those boxes. Its small 200cc tank only fills to 2400 PSI, which means I don’t need a massive support system to keep it running. An 18 cu ft tank and a GX compressor are more than enough to keep me topped off, even in the field. .25 cal is, in my opinion, the sweet spot for ground squirrels and small game. And just in case the air gun ever acts up, I always bring a rimfire along as a backup to keep the hunt going. I kind of always knew I’d end up here—parting ways with all the other gear and just keeping the one air gun that really works for me. No more 74 cu ft tanks, no more unnecessary gear. Just a reliable setup that lets me focus on the hunt. Less is more these days. And the Talon P gets it done.
What kind of groups can you expect ay 100 yards or even 50. Just curious.

Beeman  Beeman R-7 .20 cal rebuild….. results….?

On my Beeman R9 the original seal was "cooked" by improper factory lubrication. I put the Vortek PG4 kit with the Vortek piston seal in and it made a world of difference for me, but did take about 300 shots before I noticed an increase in velocity.
On my .177 R7 I won the lottery! right out of the box it was smooth, no twang, and fabulous accuracy. The best part was it gets better velocity at 1000ft above sea level than the stated factory velocity. I have left it stock (which is very much against my nature:) )

I agree you need to check your breech seal. A tight piston will lower velocity, but usually doesn't cause erratic velocities.
