I tried posting this earlier. But my post got mingled with another post.

Odd. I have a Huntsman non reg 177 and a wolverine R 177 Both are very comparable in accuracy. The Wolverine gets a lot of shots. I had a hard time making it thru a FT corse without filling the Huntsman. I can shoot the Wolverine more accurate offhand due to the thicker stock. My elbow can rest on my lower chest / belly. It is heavier, longer, but gets a lot more shots. I wouldn't want to carry it far in the field. The huntsman is a good shooter and is lighter. Both great guns. Each has a purpose where they outdo each other.

please update me on the comparison between the manul and the GK1 once you get it.. they may be totally different guns for different uses.. but I'd still like a comparison.

We had 2 LR90s... a full length 177 and a carbine 22. My wife liked the carbine more because it was a little lighter and more compact. She campigned it successfully for several years for FT in Open class plus occasional rabbit and squirrel hunting. Wonderful rifles. They are old school Daystates... literally miniature Huntsman's from that era. High gloss bluing and mostly walnut stocks. Impossible to wear out as long as you don't open bolt fire. Triggers were the same as the Huntsman standard, not the competition ones. I've not owned a Mako and there was a competition model, so it might have had the lighter trigger. The 177 long was our first pcp, circa 1992 or 1993. It's probably my biggest regret for selling. I did acquire a Huntsman Mk2 in the ultimate completion of that deal and THAT has no regret... still have it. I won a large number of matches with it and still looks and shoots like new.
Value is a tough one... they really will be difficult to wear out so as long as cared for well, they will shoot and look nice for a very long time and not much will out shoot them, within their intended power levels...

I dont think we will see the Notos winning too many 100 yard events....
However, for a short, compact, $240 carbine, its plenty accurate and 100% fun!

The 257 I believe is 1:14. From what I understood it was more the weight. Heavier like over 100 grain need a different twist like a 1:10. So the 257 maxes out in the 80-90 range for slugs.

This is a 25 caliber. It has a new 23 inch polygonal barrel from Brocock via Airguns of Arizona. 4 years old, has never needed service, and it survived a surface rust scare as well. The cheap Simmons scope inst that bad! Squirrel sniper 200 yards?

Hello FT shooters,

I would like to thank the 7 brave souls that joined me on Sunday in the heat for a short but challenging FT match. We had 8 lanes, 2 targets per lane and 3 shots per target for a match total of 48 shots. The course troyer was 29.3 at the top end of moderate. Carl Phair dodged the rain and made it over and back on his motorcycle from the east coast without a drop. The rest of us had a much shorter, but sweaty ride home! And Fred Young, a first time FT shooter got baptised in the brutal July heat of SW florida. Attached are the results from the match. Stay cool and hydrated, we hope to see you again in August.

Put a new o ring on yesterday and it’s holding air fine now. Got another gauge too just in case…. The one I put on is working fine so I have new spare.

One can remove weight as I did with mine.
With a currently, 8" long barrel... Barrel trimming, removes a good bit of weight. The shroud trimming, not so much, but it is...some.
Plus I had to trim some diameter off of the Huma Mod30 muffler, so a little more heft removal there.
And it doesn't have a huge (heavy) scope / sight.

While I’m not making excuses for JSB , I have severely sorted pellets in the 50g range that should rival the AEA magic pellets everyone is clamoring for. But , yes, JSB needs to tighten their game!

A little jumpy. It's pretty powerful for it's size. No spring twang. I have the standard model in 177 and .22. Made in Birmingham. Very accurate

I never could find an SE model in good condition. I should have bought one new. Every one I see is scratched up and I'm picky. But I also keep mine nice and very, very rarely mark them up.
I do see one for sale that's not too bad. But I need to sell some more than buy any...................................And I just bought another HW55 this morning...... Makes 5 HW55's

I agree, so far AGN is the best airgun forum out there, nothing can beat it IMHO . And the rules are here for a reason. Rules do not restrict me from having a very informative and ultimately helpful discussion about airgun technologies, repairs, maintenance and tuning straight to the point without flooding. And, most importantly, classifieds with all the rules imposed there is the safest place to trade. So yes, I think rules are good for this community.
