Your Ghost will be simply? Capable… at 50+++ yards… Put it to the test and post up.I'm setting mine up to be able to pop squirrels with Hades @40yds right now. Hoping to be able to stretch its legs more at a relative's hunting lease soon. 50+ yards would be a nice change of pace.
@BABz58 That’s what I thought. I’ve dealt with @humbled.ag in the past and in my experience he is a consummate professional. Thanks for the clarification.New England Airguns
I should have said AO down to 10 yards as i do a lot of 10 meter targets. even 15 yards ParallaxNot so, I have a Burris pistols scopes that have adjustable AO and there are others , another thing, I have no problem shooting 30 yds with non-adjustable AO ,one more thing ,there are scopes called scout scopes that fit in front of a rifle that may also work ;ak the Cooper scout scope.
That sound of thud motivates me to persist in tuning for slug, no matter how frustrating it can sometimes be. Nonetheless, it's good to hear that I'm not alone. For the most part with my M3 700 mm barrel, 25 cal I shoot RMR slugs at 988 and get very tight accuracy. Then one day I'll have 3/4 inch groups at 35 yards and I'll be wondering what's going on. The next day back to tight groups again.
My pellets are spot on every time.
It's hard to beat that thud sound of slugs expanding in a pest though.
Thanks for the reply! That’s what I thought at first but this was a new reg, well lubricated and installed carefully.
I forgot one important detail- I had put a 11 gram hammer weight installed ( over the old 7 gram). I know this will probably keep the valve open a bit longer( with the same spring). But, didn’t think it could not be overcome by ihs and power wheel.
Maybe I’m wrong!!
Gonna try the old hammer first (or maybe get a stronger spring??
Thoughts?
This looks like a sweet gun. By the time I get the gun, pump, and optics, I think I’m going to be outside of my budget. Probably looking for a piston gun to keep things simple if possible. I will also have to use a scope as those dang house sparrows are tiny little dudes! Thank you for the reply
Firewalker is on the money with the Notos recommendation. I've only had mine for a week or so...but so far very impressive (and I have FX also) for the price point. There's an supplier that has a Notos on sale for $206.99!! WOW...I paid $260 for mine. I've shot several 1/4" groups at 25 yds. To my way of thinking, the Notos is about perfect. Start with a handpump if cost is a consideration. As for a springer (if that is your cup of tea), look at a Beeman r7. Comes wirh a match trigger for around $400. I've had one for years and it is very accurate on small critters to 25 yds or so. Takes some time to learn to shoot it accurately...but that's no different than most springers. Best of luck on your decision. 20PPC
Yes it did. I was out rebuilding a bigger/better backstop and noticed all the action. It was hard to get them to stay put for a shot. I could've hit bag limit in my yard today if they'd have cooperated.I should have got out earlier. Temp rose quick today.
You got a point. Expectations have a 100% to do with thisMediocre is subjective.
I only fool with old springers I find interesting.
I think the issue of mediocrity is people expect too much out of things, thinking that if they spend more money "it just HAS to get better, right!?!?"
Is it really mediocre or are you just disappointed in your purchase?
