i think if i were doing these pistols all the time the extractor would be my go-to tool to remove the tube
it is easy to use but the again you would have to own one
the rub of working on your own guns is the tools
if you treat buying tools as a needed part of the hobby than it is not a problem a man cannot have too many tools but if it is not your goal to collect tools and the expense that it entails than send them out
i for i have the skills that i can work on most of mine and the tool purchase is a onetime deal with each tool and of course some you select might not work
so, then the question is cheaper to do yourself or to send them out
and the answer is if you plan to own just one send it out, if you plan to collect many get the parts and tool up if needed
things have change over the last 10 years
the prices of old use guns has doubled and or tripled in some cases and the supply has gotten small because of the interest and or a younger group of hobbyists but at some point, many of us older collectors will be selling their collection and it starts all again
we are just caretakers at this point in time and a new one will be needed down the road

FX  FX Dynamic cant shoot proper groups (.25 700)

Hi,

Before 2 months i had a problem with my dynamic it was shooting kind a 3 shot group 2-3 MOA group on 100m but some shots was flying to right side by even 70cm. Nothing was loose or something i was not able to find the root of issue (speed consistency was good).
Now i fitted to the rifle a Huma regulator which works perfectly and a Huma heavy hammer weight. The heavier one ... 14.x gram.
Yesterday i assembled it and tried with 41 grain ZAN slugs all settings between 140 and 155 bar and 275 and 310 m/s.
Had a settings where i had 304.6 m/s 6 times in a row so consistency can be considered to good i think.
On 90 meters i was shooting to a wall and always happened that sometimes i had two shots extremly close almost one hole and another shot went totally elsewhere. I dont even consider the overall acuracy to be a "group" but the rifles "group" was around 30-40 cm on 90m. In nutshell terrible.
Do you had someone similar issue? Or maybe some idea what could cause it?
Note: The silencer is absolutly OK no movement inside or close pass to walls.

DAR  Any good DAR Gen3s out there?

Bought a batch of different JTS pellets to see if any of my rifles liked them…. DAR shot the 16, 18, and 21.5 like a champ.Threw in a group of CHPs just because they were laying there.

It doesn’t like any of the Gamo pellets, but other than that, it’ll shoot about anything.

HW/Weihrauch  Matching caliber to rifle, Weihrauch style...

0-12fpe is .177 only
12-16fpe is .177, .20, or .22 with the nod to .20 and .22.
+16fpe is .22 or larger.
I’ve read through this entire thread, and this is the statement I agree with the most
(from a hunters perspective).

I have a .177 12FPE that shoots a 8.44gr pellet at about 813fps. It’s a little laser beam out to 90 or 100yards, but that little 8.44gr pellet just zips through a rabbits head even at 60yards. Over penetration is a real problem with .177’s even at 12FPE (at the muzzle), so I really can’t see any benefit to having MORE then 12FPE in a .177, because you are not going to be using a .177 to shoot animals much bigger than rabbits.

I owned a .20cal which was about 18FPE (sadly don’t have it any more) beautiful blend of .177 speed/flat trajectory and .22 heavier hitting power. Wish I still had it.

A .22 at 12FPE is doing around 560fps, which is a little slow for hunting things bigger then rabbits (personal opinion).

A rifle I currently use a lot is a .22 25FPE, it hits hard all the way up to possum and feral cat size animals and I use it on everything down to rats and mice.

So I agree with EquivelantDelta and the OP, and I feel the best way to pair a gun with its caliber, should be to match its power to a caliber.

Yong Heng junk!!!!! Time for a altaros booster pump

You must have gotten a bad one. Did you get an extended warranty?
I've had it for 7 months water wouldn't come out the return line I fixed that then the aluminum block just broke off and the threads for the pipe on the other block stripped out never even been into it they cross threaded it from factory... I will gladly pay 900$ for well built booster pump to fill my tanks and guns.

Is my half done S&W 78g an abomination, or the NES light gun that the world needs?

Yeah.
Above just seem a bit long.
But otherwise a 3-4-500 CC bottle on the belt on the back and a 4-5 foot tether to the pistol grip.
But i would prefer something more " real " looking, always been a sucker for the M1911 for instance, or in revolvers the Python

Above do have some P 38 flavor to it, i once had a whole crate of those, left behind by some not so kind Germans, sadly all long gone in my punk youth.
