FX  Impact POI help!

ordered a black arts clamp, and air marksman rail a few weeks ago and installed them yesterday. took everything out and resighted it this afternoon...money. Gun shoots and feels a whole lot more "rigid". no impact shifting at distances/scope zooms/etc. I think its still a pellet gun as is, but shooting JSB hades at 930 fps its an absolute cannon, accurate out to 150+ yards and fun as hell to shoot. so thats gonna be just fine with me. On a side note, I put some FX hybrids into my .25 maverick and the POI was the EXACT same as the JSB Hades. same hole at 50 yards and sub MOA at 85 yards. absolutely savage rifle, no movement, perfect trigger. It's so much more accurate than the impact in .35, but then again its shooting much lighter projectiles as lower pressures.

Ataman  Ataman M2R bullpup fires with safety engaged. Any help out there?

Not familiar with that particular gun, but...

In most cases, a misadjusted trigger will allow firing with the safety on, or even lock it with the safety off.
Get a manual (Google). Read how to adjust the trigger. Try to go back to its original setting if you can, but in any case, follow the manual,
See page 9.

I found one YouTube video, but there were no subtitles, and not in English ! But, you may give that a try, just look for trigger "adjustment" videos.

Seneca/Sam Yang  Is the Seneca Dragonfly pumping system

WOW would love to acquire a prototype probably not available .
I think there are a handful out there. There’s another interesting prototype, the crosman butterfly PCP handpump that was shown at SHOT in 2013-14. Not sure how many of those are out there.

Taipan  Pellets for Taipan Vet 2 700mm

Hi everyone I just ordered a Taipan Vet 2 700mm .22 from Talon tunes and should be getting it this thursday. I’m very Very exited. There is one thing though. I am new to PCP rifles AND have only had gamo .177 rifles and mostly shot walmart crossman premieres which they shot really good IMO. i don’t know much about ballistics or anything like that(also have never used slugs). What do you guys recommend me getting? Ive read that JSB redesigned work fairly well but theres 3 options. Shallow regular and deep skirt. I will shoot the pellets anywhere from 30yds-150 and will be mainly dove hunting.. What do you guys recommend getting to test out? It would be even better if somebody with a Taipan vet 2 with same barrel length chimed in. Thanks in advance.

I have a .22 Taipan Vet 2 with the 550mm barrel.

It depends a bit on your regulator pressure setting, but I’d suggest at least a 21g pellet to start with.

Taipan Vet 2 CZ barrels are unchoked, and seem to prefer somewhat higher velocity than typical (I have 15 PCPs to compare with).

So, try 21 and 25 grain .22 pellets at speeds from 895 to 925fps - I think you will find some nice results within those parameters.

I’ve also had good results with the JSB/FX/AA 18.13g - as it’s probably the best .22 pellet ever produced and has maintained accuracy in some of my RTI and Daystate rifles at speeds slightly exceeding 1,000fps. With my Taipan I shot the 18.13g at 900-930fps with excellent results.

Other  Have to pick one of these: Veteran , Lelya , Leshiy Classic

The LC has stood the test of time in my inventory. Favorite config is 177, 350mm shooting Zan 10.grain at 20fpe. With a fixed 10x Optisan scope, and its handy size, I can get on target from 10-80y very quickly and quietly (with an STO insert). I have all the barrel cals, but at >30fpe, it becomes a springer.
I may have to give this config a good look when my LC arrives next week. Thanks Weev.

Edit: I found the STO insert and ordered it… they didn’t have the .30 in stock though which was disappointing…

Thanks for the pictures Lou

Kahles temp shift?

I don't know if it is on the rules or not, but why not use a temp gauge on the scope, coupled with two or three different ranging estimate cards for the noticable difference in shifts at specific temperatures? Seems like I have seen similar dual and triple yardages (based on temperature) written on the big ranging parallax wheels in the past.
This snap on/over rings were designed to be set up within specific temperature ranges so when a critical temp occurs you could take one off and slip on the appropriate temp calibrated ring... alas rules do not allow - which is a stupid rule.

AirMaks Arms  Katran .177

I bought mine several months ago, and it was a rifle that UA used in a match to advertise the Katran and then sold as used, so I'm betting it is Huma. I've had several Huma reg'd guns, still have two or three, and they work like nothing I've ever seen. Currently I have an R10, Brck Sniper, and maybe another one with Humas in them, all will keep es pretty low.

Taipan  Veteran cocking sound and hst shims question

The clicking sound is normal. As for the shims they should fit over the protruding end of the hammer spring adjuster where it contacts the spring . The shims aren’t required. They were probably added to give the rifle more velocity
My previous taipan did not have dual clicking. I am sure

N/A  Trajectron 1/2-20 adapters for Weihrauch HW44 and Steyr LP50

I have bought two 1/2-20 adapters from Trajectron, one for Weihrauch HW44 and one for Steyr LP50. I initially bought the adapter for the HW44 to get rid of the cumbersome solution for the Weihrauch silencer, but also bought an adapter for the LP50 when I first needed something from Trajectron. Both adapters look good, are well made and fit perfectly. Thumbs up! :) (y)

The only thing I can put my finger on, is that the LP50 adapter should have come with an M3x5 set screw incuded, the original M3x3 set screw disappears uncomfortably far down into the threads of the barrel shroud when the adapter is fixed. An M3x5 set screw would have been perfect to fasten the adapter with.
