Taipan  Well I found one.....

This target at 27y shows its accuracy better with 10.65gr Baracudas. If i wait for the wind to pause. 5 shot groups.

That's great! I had a .177 standard before and shot really well. I'm just a .22 guy. Mine has surprised me though. I wanted to shoot it the day I got it just to test and see how it did. Threw on my 4-16x44 Arken LH4 from my .22lr and was windy but just wanted to see. This is 2 10 shot groups at 42ish yards. I was very shocked with groups this nice in the 15mph+ winds I was shooting. Cant wait to get my Zulus for it.

Slip on recoil pad, 392pa

That turned out really nice ! Maybe just add a cross hair with a bulls eye in the middle and center it on both sides. You do nice work, how many hours do you have into it may I ask. I've been thinking of adding a piece of brass too my butt stock if I can ever find the time and BTW I really like the stitching and hole design 👍 👍 .
As much I would like to take credit for the leather work it is only purchased as a slip on recoil pad for shotguns. The getting it fit a 392 stock with relatively small dimensions is the only thing I can take any credit for.

Bought acreage

That's exactly what I was going to post. I have 40 acres of lightly wooded land with a 100 yard shooting range. I would love to open it up to fellow air gunners to shoot but the liability risks are too much. Heck, the only people we let shoot there are a couple of close friends and only 2 of our 4 children.
Yeah, damned lawyers and liability.

Filling from a large bottle?

Don't bother with the little one. My 18cu only fills my Redwolf a couple times. My Ghost a couple times before its below the regulator setting.

Don't get me wrong, if I were to go off hunting and only a couple shots possible, small is fine, any bench or target shooting, well....

In this case, Bigger can be better.

What he said. If you have a means to fill the larger one it will be money well spent.

Question for Alkin W31 owners

+1 on the DIN300 male adapter for your Alkin fill hose. I prefer the solid connection of the male DIN to the DIN300 female on your tank valve. Remove the hose and DIN300 male that is part of your tank's fill hose assembly to use the fill hose.

One of my tanks has an Omega HP3 valve which fills via a male Foster fitting. I've filled it several times using a microbore hose connected to the tank hose and the fill time is identical with no change in the sound from the compressor. IMO, a microbore hose doesn't cause a compressor to labor due to restricted air flow. Tank check valves restrict air flow more than microbore hoses yet that isn't a problem for a compressor. It might be an issue for an industrial quality compressor filling a 10CFM+ but not on any 4.2CFM or slower filling compressors like air gunners own.

Sometimes individuals over think things. 15 minute warmup runs, 15minute cool down runs after a fill, 30 minute runs every two weeks during idle periods, 3 oil changes a year, etc. might make an owner feel good but really is unnecessary. It's a waste of electricity, expensive oil, and a waste of time. Think about it. The reason an owner buys a high end compressor is to get fast fills, save time, and expense from traveling to a refill source. Adding time for excessive maintenance rituals negates the advantages of owning a high end compressor.
My warmup consists of turning it on with bleeders open for maybe 10 seconds or so to splash some oil before before filling. My cool down is run with bleeders open until no droplets or vapor is seen from said bleeders, then turn off, let it cool and cover.

MidWest Airgun Show THIS SATURDAY!!!!!

Dave Enoch had some nice Slavia 630 and 631 rifles that were priced at the deal of the week level, and he was dealing like a mad man to move stuff along. I bought an Anschutz 333(Crosman 6300) for a price that made us both happy.
It was great to finally meet Dave and chat in person after years of on'n'off correspondence!

And he deserves some sort of medal. He literally rescued that bunch of guns from being trashed, and drove all the way from Texas to sell them to us at ridiculously good prices. Ya just gotta love airgunners!

Other  6 yard targets

I have been cruising around the AirgunForum UK. And they have been talking about 6yard targets. They appear to be scaled down 10m targets. I can not find a source for them here in the states. Does anyone have one. I have a pdf, but printing targets on copy paper sucks. I was going to buy some from the UK. But they come in sets of 2, 3 and 4000, for 149 pounds plus shipping from the UK. I have a feeling the shipping would kill me. Probably more than a targets themselves.
If anyone has any idea where to get some here in the states, please drop me a note. Thank you all in advance for your help.
Sincerely,
Tackleberry
If you really want to humble yourself….National Target prints a 50m International Free Pistol target reduced for 25 feet. The bull is like an inch….they could be used as 4.5m AP….if you’re shooting in a very tight space.

A standard 10m AP target at almost 25m is like a Free Pistol target.

I can do exact scaling if others are interested.
