N/A  The Dark Side got me....

I’ve never had a good springer. Just a crosman and a umarex Ruger named one. That could play a role but once I shot a pcp, nothing even good a beeman chief 2, I could have thrown those two springers in a field. Haven’t shot them since.
Same, except I had a few decent springers.
Once I discovered smooth shooting PCP's, the springers collected dust.
Someday I might get 1 springer, simply for a SHTF scenereo, where no electricity for months, might be a concern.

FX DRS obsession

Justaguy has good advice.

I kinda did the same thing. With the plan of getting a chassis from Delta Force or Saber Tactical when they became available.
I purchased a 22 700 classic. It is a Great rifle straight out of the box, extremely accurate and easy to setup.

I liked the DRS but wasn't impressed with .22 caliber.
So I purchased the DRS Pro in .25 caliber and it is an amazing rifle !

Crosman  Entry level PCPs keep getting better. Welcome my new Crosman Prospect!

I too have been waiting on a review of this latest offering, so thanks!

I also noticed that you're a lefty. Please don't shy away from letting the rest of us lefty's know how a righty set up handles in the field.

In Field Target, it's not uncommon for a lefty to use a righty action in a lefty stock, but in a hunting situation, not so much?

New Here - Need Gun Recommendations for Predator Control

I didn't get the rangefider version. I ran ballistics on a 34 gr pellet at 850fps. If you zero at 50, pellet will be within 0.5 inches of POI from 20 - 50 yards. Energy at 50 was slightly over 40 ft*lbs (more than adequate for skunks etc). Am I missing something? I come from long range centerfire world so it is entirely possible I'm missing something. Thanks!
Ahhhh, I believe you shouldn't shoot Skunks in the head, I believe they tend to spray - Heart/Lung shots but it's your nose. :)

Vevo Compressor - Successful Jerry Rig (w/ Disclaimer)

Is this the replacement compressor you got from Amazon for the first one? Or did you manage to fix the first one?

The replacement (GX Mini) was no good, didn't work even once. This one is still working, but the 110/12V power supply went out, so I'm running it on my yard tractor battery, which has a trickle charger attached to it all the time.

Help to identify this moderator

I wonder if the moderator survives 200 ft lbs :).
Just got in the 9 inch moderator from Trajectron and yes :):):):):) for $70.00...Its just like a donny tanto...Shooting 48 grain .222 powder coat slugs at 1085 fps and it seems great..Not too heavy..Pretty nice ...Going to shoot now....Will do a review...

Brocock/BRK  Untouted BRK Ghost feature…

My Ghost XR Carbine

As received from AOA:

JSB Exact Jumbo 18.13 @
902 FPS avg.
900 min. / 905 max.
Spread 5
Standard deviation 2
Regulator @ 100 BAR / Power Wheel on 10
That isn’t too bad. I usually shoot heavier ammo. I think in a cpl videos the guns were set at 160 or 170 bar for that speed with 33.95. My impact did it with 120 bar and im guessing my maverick probably would even lower. I know that doesn’t mean everything. I have an epoch that operates at 1350 psi with 33.95. That certainly doesn’t mean it is air efficient. I guess if the ghost is efficient then the reg pressure doesn’t mean as much.

Groundhog Shoulder Breaker

The only 50 grainer I’ve caught, was after it blew a golf ball sized hole through a 4lb block of modeling clay. It exited, bounced off the cardboard backstop, and ended up at my feet.

They’re definitely tougher than the 43 grain Nielsens.
With terminal performance like that, these H&N Slug IIs are gonna be perfect for raccoon season!

Beating a dead quail here

The Hatsans have some real gunk in there out of the box. It took 6-8 patches to cut that stuff and a few more to get it clean. It's on the metal below the stock too. It looks like earwax. Or the old alox bullet lube. It's really nasty.

After digging the guano out of the barrel and some JB's bore paste it only takes a couple patches to clean. Even with 2-3k Crosmans with the coal black butter sauce. It takes longer to get it off my fingers after a shoot than it does inside the bore.

The hand cheese on the stocks and barrels are the biggest cleaning issue. Greasy sweat stains on the cheek rest. Beer drops on the scope lenses. I only clean the bore when I take the action out of the stock to get the sand and grit out or I have to fix something. I just don't pay much attention to bore cleaning on an airgun.

Smokeless guns as well unless I'm going to put it in the safe for a while. Every rifle shoots better at equilibrium. Unless you have lead or copper fouling spoiling the shot I think it's best to just make sure the bore doesn't rust and leave it at that.
yeah, i noticed that about the two hatsan i had

Umarex  Notos compared to PP750

Hi Everyone.

I'm just going down the rabbit hole with the PP750. The Notos isn't available in the UK. I was wondering if aftermarket parts are able to be used on either gun?. I was looking at the FX barrel and the plenums with a gauge offered by C88machining. The Buck rail AR grip also looks nice. I saw that people have fitted Wildcat cocking levers to the PP750. It looks a lot more substantial than the bent steel plate lever...

Any wisdom would be gratefully received

Diana  New D75

I would try to ask @Sqwirl57 or @thumper that question. I think those guys have more useful insight into that scenario than I could provide.
I could be way off base, but I believe that an adjustable iris that you can quickly adjust to ambient lighting conditions would be of the greatest benefit with a peep set up.
I agree. I have a Williams peep on my HW35 with an adjustable iris and it works very well. With that said I don't hunt anymore, only plink.
