N/A  Where to begin

Can you share info about the target hanger?
Sorry it's been so long to reply.
I actually got the hanger from Walmart for $14.99. I love it. I wanna buy a few more to set up at 50, 75 and 100 yds. It IS expansive for larger targets. Just pull the arms out further. Just be sure to site in a new rig at 25 yds first. You'll notice that one of the clips are missing. Moved my scope from one gun to another and tried sighting in at 50 yds. No address or anything on the paperwork that came with it to order new ones.....

H&N 177 baracuda hunter and 13gr slug BC

Was able to do some testing with the labradar again, testing some pellets for accuracy for an upcoming silhoutte match. Is the 8.44 exact usually that much lower on BC compared to the 7.87? This time I was able to get the labradar to pick up at 30 yards for my max distance. BC was calculated using airguns.net and the AoA BC Calculator, usually they were within 3 decimal places. Also thought it was weird the 8.44 grain had higher velocity, but it did on both my lg300 and lg400, so I am guessing it has to do with the head size.

Air Venturi  Avenge-X with Custom Barrel

Had some time to play with the avengeX today.

Alien air guns made a new plenum extension for me. This made a pretty big difference, and I would recommend more plenum to anyone using a .25 avengex... if you want more power of course. It's awkwardly placed and doesn't fit in a case anymore... meh... maybe I'll find or make a plenum thay doesn't stick out so far. On this model (bottle bullpup) there is, unfortunately, nowhere else to put it.

Also got a lighter valve spring and heavier hammer spring installed. The heavier spring moves the adjustment range to the top end of the power range. It's about perfect with the reg at 210bar, and I'm sure it could handle more. Too much spring for running lower pressures though.

I spent an hour or two with the NSA 38.5gr slugs and got it down to 1moa-ish at 50yds. This was in the 900fps range (~70fpe). Some groups were half moa, some around 1.5moa. I think it can do better... but needs some work. Main thing I want to try is lapping the barrel... also want to get the velocity a little more consistent. I was also using the Tanto the whole time. Not sure if was helping or hurting accuracy.

Now Dark, Hard to Read Background on Emails Sent Through AGN

Gerry -

Try the dark background again, but for a couple of days.
I personally like NOT...having a blaring white background. I set mine to "dark" back a coupla years ago, when I joined. Any site that I go to, that allows a dark background...yes please.

And yeah, 73 is sorta old !

Mike
Mike, it's not ME having troubles. It's @TMH above. And by the way, I'm 72 & I resemble that remark :ROFLMAO: 🤪

JTS Pellets

So talking about religion is ok now? :ROFLMAO:
Well, I've already thinned out the hare krsnas, shriners, and door to door soliciting roofers from my neighborhood, the LDS bikers don't interfere with the native species. Right now it's the JW migratory flock visiting and taking resources from our local Kingdom hall. Gotta be on the side of conservation even if it does breach "no religion or politics". NATIVE FLORA AND FAUNA DO BE NATIVE FLORA AND FAUNA. INVASIVE IS INVASIVE. HA

Hatsan  Mod 95 .22 breach question

The walnut is good. I'm not sure it's worth the extra you pay but it is nice. I used steel wool with a little danish oil on it. Then paste waxed it. It polishes up really nice in your hands.

I hope yours has some figuring. I hear some guys griping about them being plain. It's a crap shoot I guess. Mine didn't have much character when I took it out of the box. A little oil and some hand rubbing brought out the grain nicely. Any piece of wood can be improved upon with a little elbow grease. Hand rubbed walnut looks great even if it is a bland piece of wood. I'm sure you will be happy with it.

I had ordered the 95L and they were backordered. I got the walnut because I didn't have to wait two weeks. I'm a pretty thrifty guy and I don't usually go for the more expensive stocks but I figured what the heck. I'm happy I went ahead and got the walnut. It's a sweet little gun.

My son loves to shoot it. It's too pretty for me to shoot. I mostly just look at it and brag about it.
I asked for a stock that has unique grain pattern. They said no problem. Time will tell. I’ll be happy with it regardless.

Tuning a regulated gun with multi caliber capabilities question

Most likely yes. When you change calibers you are changing so many variables all at once. It’s very unlikely that your “sweet spot” wouldn’t change. The idea of multiple calibers in the same rifle sounds great until you spend the time and effort to develop a really great tune; especially with slugs. Then you question how badly do you really want to change that barrel. That’s why I have two nearly identical Crown MK2 rifles. One in .22 and one in .177.
Kenny
lol yeah tuning isn’t fun for me I don’t have the patience, time or the desire. The leshiy is easy but still it remains a .25. This is why I only shoot a Leshiy 2 no traditional tuning needed

EDgun  Leshiy 2 Trigger

I have the Huma Air Aluminum trigger. I think the blue will work fine. Thanks for the replies.
Loctite will work for aluminum. Plastic triggers have undersized holes and the plastic grabs the screws better. If you replace the screw with a stainless screw you will need primer as neither anodized aluminum nor stainless will activate the loctite.

Cleaning solution for rifle barrels.

I would not say lubing the barrel improves grouping much at all.

In my experience, lapping and polishing a barrel improves accuracy, waxing slows fouling.
@Firewalker sorry. I made a mistake. I was trying to say that it's waxing of the slugs that I suspect to contribute most to accuracy improvement. Not waxing the barrel. But cleaning the barrel gives me a peace of mind.

Fox (or big reds) Squirrel

I see CA has a Fox squirrel season , Here in KY i don't hear much about the big reds . Like they are to tough to eat or something ? When i was a kid we used to pass on the grays and only shoot the big reds . We would Filet the meat off and chop it very fine and make "burgers " for lunch .
@beerthief Fox squirrel meat is chewy to me in comparison to gray squirrels. I don’t particularly care for it. Bigger animals with more meat though.

Reward for the medal positions in the competitions- New season 2025

We like to announce that our sponsorship program for shooters use our slugs in selected competitions continues in the 2025 season

I would also like to congratulate Mr. David Thornton. Mr. Thorton with our ATP King 40 gr 5.52 won first place at the EBR steel scramble slug challenge in 2024. We learned this information with a greater delay after the competition, but it does not reduce our congratulations and we are glad that we could be a small part of his success.

String challenge

Never thought about that.
Perhaps . half of a point for every 10 feet in distance and
1 whole point for a hit but no cut, and 5 points for a cut string .
So for 33' = 16.5 points ( distance) + 1 point for a hit string (17.5)
And if its a clean cut it would be 21.5 points. And try for an even score when done shooting... And perhaps a set number of rounds for each test say 25
Maybe start out with one point for the attempt ? 😎😎😎

RTI P1 Performance, it's 1:32 LR barrel - "light" slugs - anyone had any luck? ( and why do I hate MRD's? )

Hey I had the RTI profit performance with the LW long range barrel with the 1:32 twist. I traded for it and it took me s week trying to get rid of that extremely annoying noise it made when fired. I can't say much about that barrel because I like to shoot slugs. I was told it had the RPB barrel in it but that was a lie. I looked into getting the 600mm .22 RPB Barrel kit but was either sold out at the time or I wasn't willing to pay the almost $700 or atleast something close to that for barrel change kit. Ultimately I ended up do a trade that allowed me to pick up a New P3 in .22 with the RPB Barrel. That gun has been an absolute joy to shoot. Although it's said to shoot both pellets and slugs equally well I haven't shot too many pellets through it. As fat as modifications I added the two plenum extensions, the lower arca rail, a Saber Tactical grip and recently picked up the carbon fiber 50mm hush moderator. I haven't been able to take it out to a range and test groups at 50 or 100 yards. However I have been putting a lot of slugs through it shooting birds on my property. My P3 with the 600mm RPB Barrel with the 1:16 twist w/ a light choke does very well with the Varmint Knocker .217 28gr FB-XL-HP SLUGS. That's with my reg set between 150 and 160. For example and yes it was kinda cheating because I used the Pard NVOO8S LRF and of course I didn't record this shot but I smashed a wood pecker that was 145 yards away. It was halfway up the side of a very tall palm tree as well. If you want to get even more shots you can tune it down and shoot the .217 22gr DB-XL-HP Varmint knockers also. Other slugs that I personally favor are Griffin Airgun Ammo. These specific ones are a bit pricey for a tin of 200 at $32 but they are one of my favorites he makes in .217 and I'm pretty sure he also makes them in .218. It's the 24gr XR/Hunter/LCD. LDC stands for low density core. It's a rebated boat tail slugs with I assume some kind of polymer ball in the core of the slug. Those things along with a lot of his ammo shoot great. The LDC allows you to get maximum expansion even at lower speeds, but they do just fine over 1000fps. I would highly recommend trying both the Varmint Knocker and the Griffin slugs if you have the 600mm LW RPB Barrel in .22cal. With that said I'm now salivating over the new PCP that they are going to release Mora, specifically in .357 as I have never has a .357 and that gun, to me at least is a dream gun. Just have to dig up $2,400.00 roughly to purchase it lol. I hope this helps you out a little.

Airgun Technologies  Vulcan 3 700 mm .25 Cal arrived

I am still in process of learning how many clicks should I give to the vertical turret at diverse distance.
Just use some ballistic calculator - if you have an android phone - try the Strelok Pro - i think the best app for ballistic !
If you use Element scope - you can download the Element app to your phone.. Or use the Chairgun elite.

There are many such apps !
Some are paid, but it's worth spending some money for them !
