A Daisy 880 was my gateway drug. Then I moved on to the harder stuff, PCP.

I enjoyed part about Olympics- In 1993 I was invited to try out for US air pisttol team. That would have necessitated a a trip to Calif. and a bit of an extended stay. Not an inexpensive endeavor, and in the US is totally out of your own pocket. Also at the same time I was starting my own biz. The controller was supportive of either endeavor to a point with the classic do what you want comment, ( which we males mostly know what that means in the realm of communication with the controller ). Didn't go Calif. Did start biz. Also shortly thereafter the controller was decommissioned. Pricey but worth it. Still running biz..

I like toys, I'll probably not get a LRF and go with the pre-set distances, of course that'll mean I'll need another gun.....my ranges are 50 yards 100 yards and 125 yards and a touch in-between but meh can figure those out.

maxtrouble this is exactly what I have been looking to do with my Huben pump. Can you link a photo to your pump with the mods? What was the cost of the parts? I am contacting Kraz Kool today to ask about this and getting the parts needed to mod my pump. Thanks for the info. I've asked a bunch of vendors and no one has any idea what I am talking about. Glad I saw your posts. Now I have hope I can do the mods I want to do on it.

I also think your stock is distorting the tube with the hammer inside resulting in less force against the valve so less velocity. I don't know how these parts are shaped but I suspect that adding a spacer against one of the stock attachment screws will help if not eliminate this issue. My first choice would be a washer to go around the screw and between the action and the stock. If the surface is curved, you might have to make the washer out of aluminum sheet material. If the surfaces permit, you might even put a washer or two at each end to float the action away from the stock then try pulling a washer at one end and then to other. If you see improvement but not total elimination of the decrease you might have to make thinner washers to fine tune the pressure on the action.

Correct, look at the micro and the scale next to it. You'll see the numbers. Higher is more spring tension.

I have analyzed this impossible conundrum, trying to squeeze out the max. on all three or four factors, while finding the balance that's right for me.

Here's my thinking in a diagram:




About shot count:
I swapped the 240cc OEM bottle for a 300cc bottle. No problem with length or diameter. Not too heavy. But 25% more shots.

About compactness:
I need a silencer for shooting close to houses.... — the 510mm barrel ends almost right at the end of the shroud — not much sound suppression going on there.
But at least when I'm out in the field and when I travel, I still have a short gun!

Yes, I think this one has been tuned, or more specifically DE-tuned and is pushing about 11.4FPE with a 8.44gr pellet, so about 780fps.

BinTac mentioned that it's likely to see the Mcar at EBR 2024. But not sure if someone will compete with or to introduce it to the market. In any case, hopefully it will be priced aprox $2500 or less and I would consider buying it.

The EFT GP is one of six GPs held in 2024 and is sponsored by Airguns of Arizona. Other sponsors are announced on our Facebook page and email list. Participation in the EFT GP makes the top EFT shooters eligible for early registration for the October 10-13, 2024, Extreme Benchrest (EBR) event in Phoenix, Arizona. Where is the Timbermine? Timbermine is located at 1701 Park Blvd, Ogden, UT 84401. Extra guests are an additional $35 per person. The meal includes a drink, salad, roll, entree, desert, tax and gratuity. The entrees will be chosen in advance. Three options will be selected from the following: STEAK (ribeye), FISH (salmon), and/or CHICKEN (teriyaki). Their meat is cut daily. We have reserved a banquet room that seats 60+ persons, which can be viewed on their website. Certain drinks (fruit punch, coffee, and water) are covered in the meal cost. All others are not. If you order liquor, or other drinks, there will be a cash bar available. You are responsible to pay for these non-covered drinks directly.

What is the raffle? Wasatch Airgun’s raffle is included with the price of registration to shoot at the event. Airguns of Arizona and numerous other sponsors have donated items for the raffle. Each registrant has an equal chance to win. No individual raffle tickets will be sold.

When will the rules and course of fire be announced? They will be emailed to participants the week before the event. We will send you the squad list, final schedule, rules, waiver, and course of fire at that time. In general, the rules for EFT, 100 Yard Bench, Speed, and Precision Marksman events will be similar to our prior Wasatch events. The EFT rules are identical to the published EBR EFT rules except we will have only one class (i.e., there is no separate .22 cal class of shooters). The 100 Yard Benchrest rules will be similar to those used at RMAC and EBR. The speed silhouette event will be like the open class at EBR, but a mag change will be required. Precision Marksman will have two classes, standard and adaptive, which is shot from the bench.

What is there to do? This region of Utah was home to the 2002 Olympic winter games. The summer recreation options are just as amazing. They include: fishing, hiking, mountain biking, camping, climbing, bouldering, kayaking, paragliding, boating, indoor surfing (Ogden), indoor skydiving (Ogden), outdoor skydiving, fossil hunting, golfing, flying, horseback riding, ATVing, scenic drives, etc. The night life in Ogden centers around 25th Street and Washington Boulevard. Thirty-five miles to the South of Ogden is Salt Lake, which is Utah’s largest City.
What is the cost? $175 per shooter. This includes the awards, t-shirt, two lunches, dinner at the Timbermine, raffle tickets, and participation in the match. The dinner cost for guests is $35 per person.

Don’t get me wrong, there was still some “precision”… the last shot of the day, was by the youngest kid there. 8 year old Harvey wanted to shoot a bottle cap, so I told him to go set one up…. Which he did at a lasered 62 yards. I thought his plan was rather ambitious, but figured I’d give him the last couple shots before the gun was off the reg. So I dialed the range (+.8 mil from a 45yd zero) and handed the gun over.

He ran the gun himself, found the bottle cap in the scope (after a bit of fumbling)… I’ll be damned if he didn’t blow that cap 6 feet in the air with the first shot, and it was not a glancing blow. I don’t think his little feet touched the ground on his way to retrieve his trophy. He then showed it off to his mom, put it in his pocket, and it’s now mounted on the wall in his bedroom. He has no idea that I’m about as proud of it as he is.

Great solution. I wonder if anyone makes a 3d printed version. I would hate to scratch that beautiful gun.

Still fun. We would also do really crazy stuff with bows and arrows that I think discussing openly is a very bad idea. Lawn darts were a very safe activity, comparably. Lucky to be alive.

it will lift easier and better airflow but more pressure on smaller aria makes it compress and ruin faster; find a good german polyamid (yellow one) best work uo to 6000psi tested
