Impact M3 VS Panthera w/Double bottle

I went insane and I'm buying an Impact. The length of the Panthera with moderator is just too much for me.
I'm sure you will be happy with the Impact as a bench/slug gun, it's very capable.

I initially bought my Impact for testing/trying slugs before reverting it to a pellet/hunting rifle. Then the Panthera showed up to take that duty.

Have fun!

Results  FX Wildcat MK3 BT Sniper

I totally understand wanting to sell it to lessen the financial impact. lol 😂 no pun intended. But if you can hold on to the wildcat and get the impact as well. I’m considering the same. This way you have a bench gun and a walk around rifle. You can shoot a wildcat effectively out to about 120 yards realistically. But the impact can stretch to around 200 yards effectively. My plan is to tune each to the ldeal pellet (wildcat) and slug (impact) tunes then leave it alone.
I got a "like new" Impact with a theos on it, I'm sure it's way to much scope for my needs so I might end up selling the scope and keeping both rifles

Daisy  Daisy Powerline 901 problem: pump-arm doesn't lock & springs-out after 8-9 pumps

Hellow all. I recently purchased a new Daisy 901 powerline to replace my older 855 and finially had the time today to take it out for it's first test/zeroing run. I also kitted it out with the Buck Rail UNI adapter/moderator kit and the CVLife 3-9x40 scope. I am using JSB .177 7.33gr Diabolo domed pellets. Everything went smooth for the first 20 or so shots. After that, the pump-arm no longer 'locked' in the closed position. The best I can describe it is that it felt 'loose' or just 'slides' over where it used to latch closed. It then began to forcefully release/spring-out after 8-9 pumps (max is 10 per the manual) and I now have to make a point to wrap my hand around it & the barrel to hold it down (lest it spring out suddenly and shake my aim).

I initially thought the tabs or grooves inside the pump-arm grip may have been sheered off somehow (I am fairly lankey, and don't pump too aggressively even on my lighter 855). However, after a visual inspection, the tabs/grooves inside the handle all *appear* to be in good order still. Yet it doens't lock down tight anymore (and it appears that it is only the friction/resistance of those plasctic tabs/grooves that is keeping the pump arm from shooting back out as you approach the maximum recommended pumps).

Has anyone else encountered this issue or found a remedy for it?

UPDATE: I did a little DIY fix by applying a few layers of 0.5"-wide masking tape around the tabs on the frame of the airgun that are supposed to 'lock' the pump-arm in place. So far, it seems to create enough friction to keep it tight even after the maximum 10 pumps. However, I am now also noticing a high tendancy of shots keyholing on paper targets instead of the clean holes I was initially getting. For reference, the initial ~20 shots (before the pump-arm locking issue began) were clean (no keyholing on paper targets) and were pretty fast to zero. Now, I have it zeroed to 0.5" at 25ft even with the keyholing, but only 1 out of 4 or 5 shots will fly 'clean' and not keyhole the target. Still using the same JSB Diabolo 7.33gr ammo, which ran fine in my Daisy 855 and seemed to run just as well in this new 901 for the first ~20 shots.

JSB .22 20.83g MRD Light

I just tried them in my AA S500. It shoots 18.13 @910 or so, and the 21.5 JTS @860 fps.
I expected fps closer to the 21.5, shocked to see 885 fps.
I only had time for a few shots. I had just pumped it up, so I was on the beginning of the curve. The top may be mid 890s.

Accuracy seems the same as the 18s and 21.5, at least at 10 meters in the basement.
I expect good results at longer ranges based on the parlor shooting.

HW/Weihrauch  HW80/R1 Soft tune by cutting factory spring?

I have a HW-80 K in .20 caliber that has a Vortek 12 # spring kit in it and I shoots great with very little felt recoil or vibration, I would recommend it over cutting the spring which could give you issues down the road and might even batter the pistol and seal.
The kit is only about $90.00 and Kevin at Pellets and Pistons on U-tube has a great tutorial show the whole process. the R-1 is a classic, you really don't want to mess it up just to save a few bucks IMHO.

Hatsan 125 5,5mm hunting

gimmick pellets are just that. All the plastic tipped pellets are useless.. JMHO. domed pellets are the best overall for accuracy and energetic transfer.. break barrel air rifles do not kill by shock.. rather bleed out, or shot placement. Yes some expansion may happen but not enough to waste accuracy and consistency. That being said many may disagree.
Barrel quality plays much more of a roll than anything else.. snug fit and nice choke will make most domes shoot excellent groups.

change the two front screws on that Quattro trigger and adjust it to a solid 1 lb predictable break.

My Budget for shopping.

How long is that barrel? What kind of velocity does that deliver?

700mm FX liner and it gets 1050 with CPHP's and 980 or so with JTS 18.1gr Dead Center pellets. 100 Yard ready as well. I have yet to push slugs through it but I think she should do well.

Other  Break barrel to PCP

Hello to all, new member here who started with Gamo break barrel and now own not one, two or three but four PCPs now. Nothing super expensive but all of them have a place for what I do. I acquired two in trade a few years ago, an AEA HP Carbine and a Seneca Eagle Claw...they are great guns again for what I do which is target shooting of course and Iguana pest control around my property and near the 2 plus acre lake behind my house here in North Fort Myers Fl. I gave the Seneca to my son and have since expanded my collection. I bought the little Benjamin P-ROD...OMG what a sweet little thing that is for close range shooting.Put a bug buster on it and when I charge it near full capacity it is deadly with in its range. LOVE that gun!! The HP Carbine in .25 is one that I will never get rid of,say what you want, there has been many problems with all guns pcp of course but this one has proven to be jewel, at least for me. I acquired an AEA HP.25 auto that has a pretty bad rap after a couple thousand rounds or so, seems to beat the hell out of the breach? Though mine is new with maybe a dozen mags shot thru it but does pretty good though NOT my favorite in the collection and am going to convert to bolt action to protect it's life span. My uncle, who was always my favorite, he is 82 now, we talk all the time still today. He gifted me a Benjamin Marauder Field and Target .22. Great gun, the first time I shot it I was grateful for the shooting table!! what a log!! After sighting it in, the first mag at 30 yds. I could only find two holes...was wondering if pellets were coming out...lol I knew they were because I heard them, super impressed with it's accuracy. Only problem with it is it has a SLOW leak...like 200 lbs or so down in a few days...I've tried to find it with soapy water with no luck so not so sure what to do?? just charge it and shoot it I guess or have after market /hot rod parts put in it?? Make a bit sweeter that what it is now? Been watching videos on this rifle and it doesn't seem to complicated just not something I was hoping I would have to do to a three month old rifle that was suppose to be one of the best engineered all around super this and that... but at this point am a little disappointed. Really don't want to tell my uncle about this problem. Sorry so long fellow members but just wanted to let it all out...lol Happy Fathers Day to all !!

Adjustable Wing Butt Plate - Marauder and more - In case you need one

It appears I am somewhat behind on this matter. However, as long as there is no HOOK involved, you are free to choose any style of "Buttpad" you prefer. I am fully supportive of this flexibility and, consequently, will not disqualify anyone in the Hunter Division based on their choice of buttpad.

Nevertheless, please be aware that I will issue a single warning to any competitor who removes, replaces, or adjusts any component of their rig, including removing scope wheels between lanes. Should this infraction occur a second time, the competitor will be kindly asked to withdraw from the competition.
I think the AAFTA rules do have some ambiguity but for the most part they are straight forward. in addition the BOG members are always willing to answer email questions like being able to adjust or move a palm rest / hamster so you can add air to your gun mid course and then return it back to where it was - which is allowed. @humbled

Classified buyers

I know - I am one of those buyers at times, but I had to have it and tough to find otherwise - sometimes the condition or the character of the wood can overwhelm common senses. Found that WTB 'can be' worse at times as sellers already know you might pay more for it. I'll actually pay more here on the AN forum because I actually get to see it compared to the store fronts. How the seller treated, accessories, and presentation makes a difference to me.

However, when the item is higher by a couple of hundred than the distributor pre-order or store fronts, gives me a little pause. Or, limited edition models which come in pink, seriously pink? :ROFLMAO: Okay, yes, that was not considerate of feelings ... pink is a fine color choice.
