Veradium Air in Texas does a lot of work with Wes. He has springs
Hello @bthurman

Wes sent me an email showing that he had the springs back in stock so I placed an order for some.

I think I will take @marflow 777 suggestion and order some "non-standard" sizes and do a little testing with them also.

Thank you for the information,
ThomasT

Hey Americans, Thinking of y'all today. God Speed.

Well i do say i have a Texan living deep down inside of me, though some say it is just the viking left overs.
But whatever it is it do not like many of the things that happen here, in spite of me being brought up in a ultimate socialist ( communist ) environment.
But the commie relationship ( my father ) thing cant have been that bad, when i sailed the 7 seas the US embassy stamped the hell out of my passport so i had less " problems " entering the US, though of course this was before 9 - 11 and that passport also expired a long time ago.

Update - 10/9/2024
I’ve been using my S6 on top of my Redwolf HFT rig. The more I use it, even at 16 X, the more I like it. Many of my other scopes are the opposite experience. Here’s what I’ve figured out…. The S6 is so damn sensitive that even the slightest rotation can move me past my focus point. But, if I pay really close attention, I can catch the moment I pass the sweet spot and ever so slightly back up and Shazam… I’m in there. But you definitely have to practice this with the S6 to “get it”.

I’m shooting HFT at the Shutzenfest in Boerne TX This weekend using the new S6. It will be interesting to see how well it does on an unknown course with different targets/lighting etc… stay tuned 🎯

N/A  PCP with Swappable Bottles/Reservoir

Ah that's the Umarex Zelos right? I was looking at those.

Seems like Umarex rebrands/pretties up the Snowpeak guns?

Aka... Notos = PP750, Zelos = MB60/MB60B

History: The M60 came out then the option to add a bottle. Then the adapter had a gauge and a spin off valve.

Then the Zelos arrived.

The M60 and the Zelos are tube guns, the M60B is a bottle gun.

The M60/B is Canadian/world and the Zelos is USA.

Not essentially identical but completely identical except for engraving.

FX  I forgot how light the M3 actually is

Weight is definitely a factor in pcp rifles. Been into the ground squirrels for about 5 years now. Started with firearms and soon my hunting partner started using his pcps. I borrowed his for a few years and used his umarex till the trigger fell off and then tried his older fx. I think it was a MK2. Also tried his pantera. Then I ordered an Aselkon which I have used a couple years. That gun scoped with a Cabela’s intensity LR 4-16 Weighs in at 11.9 lbs. After acquiring my new FX m3 in 30 cal and scoping it with an Sig Whiskey 4 5X20 my weight is around 8.5 lbs. That’ll make it a lot easier carrying around next year when the squirrels come back out.
Im not much of a bipod guy as I use Primos trigger stix with 3 points of contact. Still have to haul them around but much easier with your gun hand less fatigued.

Direct to gun full time connection?

Yeah kinda sucks everything is going great then poi starts moving. It isn't realized until you made a couple adjustments to the gun that the bottle pressure dropped. Having the gun tethered makes it one less thing to worry about.

I use these to regulate pressure to the guns. Note with these two no more than 300 bar fill at the supply bottle.

I use these on the bench with my ELR impact. I have the reg pressure on the gun at 170 bar so 200-205 is what I have the bottle reg at.

Is it possible to have TOO MUCH gun??

Ranchibi brought something up that we are either in denial of or it’s just a hard pill to swallow about your prize gun. Years ago I got into a slightly heated discussion on the forum about airgun guys shooting beyond their or their guns capabilities. Knowing the accuracy of even an exceptional slug shooter, I began to wonder and then accuse guys of just considering a hit at distance a win. The consensus was they are pests so who cares. I couldn’t argue because I agree. But it’s very simple, if your gun isn’t shooting dimes or nickels at 100 yards, you aren’t planting them, you’re just hitting them. Because at the distance your gun truly will cut holes, you plant them almost all the time.

So then we start doing what PB guys do. If we can’t be precise with our shots we want to up the power or caliber. Most don’t need more power than their current slugster is producing. And even if you do accomplish powder burner accuracy at 100 and beyond, we still have to deal with wind or the temperamental PCP.

FX  New member and new PCP owner

It is not an emergency, I bought my first PCP in 2020 and have not replaced a breach seal yet. But I have needed a few other O-rings. I would do as others have suggested and stock up before they fail (so when they do it isn't a big deal). I've purchased O-rings multiple places but my favorite at this time is McMaster Carr. They gave me overnight delivery on my last order for no extra charge and they show the O-rings OD as well as ID and thickness. Most only show the ID and thickness. Several times I have ordered the wrong size. It is HUGELY easier to measure the OD. I know how to do the conversion but my other excuse is the extremely wide range of O-ring sizes so you have to look at a lot of data to find what you need.

If you find somebody offering a set of O-rings for your gun I would seriously consider it. Some you may never need and you may want extras of some but it would be a good insurance set to have on hand.

UPDATE on my RAW regulator leaking

Some say use a little silicone, I assembled my reg with no silicone on the orings and it's holding fine.Do you have the 4 correct O rings ? You can buy 50 or 100 of each size for about 1.00 per o ring from Oringsandmore.com.

Excellent, I love parts diagrams (y). I do have a ziplock bag of O-rings that came with the rifle, just need to dig them out and see if they are what is spec'd for the regulator. Thank you for all the info!

FX  Fx maverick vp

Always wanted to try a Maverick but have never had the guts to pull the trigger. I believe the Maverick would be a great platform for a .25 cal slug gun.
Appears to be powerful enough.
its the cheapest fx airgun with a high ceiling on power ... also the easiest to tune with the "shooting with phil" micrometer ... because i have been thrru the tuning keyhole with the p40, condor, impact m1, m2 & m3 most with the power plenum in 22, 25 & 30 cal, crown, discovery 2ea, pantera, and now the maverick in 25 and 30 cal ... mostly for ground squirrels ... with pellets and slugs ... good luck ... the hpa airgun black hole is deep

Getting back into shooting after a long hiatus!

Well I am no where near buying either one yet. I have to sell a few guns and knives to afford either one right now. So for now I am still researching and looking. With many of my guns, if there is a problem that I can't fix, it gets sent out to any of the airgunsmiths, tuners, and builders. The biggest problems I run into is cost of shipping and replacement parts. So I would assume if there is a problem with the Edgun I could use any of those avenues to remedy the situation.

How about parts? Are they hard to get?

Any common problems with the Leshiey that are going to be a problem that I am not aware of? I've been reading the Edgun Leshiey2 thread a bit and so far it looks like minor fixable problems.

I do not recommend any Edgun. Nothing but broken promises and no customer support. Steer clear.

I purchased a Leshiy classic from Edgun West about six years ago. Purchased two other barrels, some pellets and a Huma regulator at the time of purchase. Right out of the box I had issues. Rifle was not new, had scratches on it, would not hold air, no extra o rings, all the things unwanted in a new $2000 air rifle.

Brian at Edgun West ghosted me and would not return any of my calls, emails or texts. I had to use the threat of a credit card chargeback to get any kind of support. Ended up returning the damn thing but he would not give a return for the barrels, regulator or pellets. Most vendors will charge a 15% restocking fee or issue a full credit, Brian said fsck off. Horrible vendor. Caveat Emptor.

Forgive me if I've overlooked something, but how does 7-10 MOA at 20 yards translate to basically the same hole 4 shots at 50 yards? Are you talking about two different guns?

.
Sorry, I meant to say 100 yards, at 50 yards it’s basically the same hole using the 173 from Mr. hollowpoint. At a 100 yards I’ve gone inch and a half to 2 inches pretty consistently.
