Yes probably its time to change everything.

But there is and itch in my brain. Its not logical. Why do I not find the leakage when checking all places it could leak from.
Its like the air is vanishing through the steel. Even tried again with a friend next to me to judge whether Im crazy or not.

The GTO 22 caliber pellets shot out of my GKi at 500fps looks like I could pick them up and use them again, No damage at all to the pellet shooting a pine board, I would not do it but they look perfect,, Hard pellets forsure

I might be a little obsessive I just ordered seven 500 ct tins of JSB 15.89s and one 13.43 to try from PA. Well see what shape they come in. I ordered my last 15.89 tin from them last week. Hopefully my next ones come in the same condition and from the same lot.

Oh, I’m not “concerned” per se, it’s merely a consideration that plays a small piece of the puzzle. But from what I’ve been reading, parts aren’t generally needed for either EDgun or BRK products aside from the usual wear items such as o-rings. Only the older 2mm valve stems are a concern, and upgraded valves appear to be available if I were to ever need one. That’s part of why I’m drawn to these two options, along with my Taipan Vet Mk1. They have a reputation of being no-nonsense airguns!

with a good one of my barrels I can shoot a few hundred slugs and this is in the 929 fps and no accuracy issues , and if i rup a patch or a pull threw very little on barrel , So at 845fps I bet 500 slugs would have no lead .im my hi powered guns shooting long range guns (6,5 creedmoore ) after I clean and take 10 shots I get over 200 shots perfect accuracy as well , then clean and season , I own prob 18 pcp guns , all my guns barrels some never degrade accuracy only one slug gun I own in 30 caliber I have to clean that one like every 100 shots , I am sure if I pop it on lathe and polish and clean up breech and recrown it would be like all my others , but I dont shoot much .30 cal here as only ,22 legal to hunt in CT

I have had or do have high end guns and low end guns. I have a $500 avenge x in 177 that shoots really good but the stock is pure crap trigger is okay at best. Now when I had redwolfs the were night and day better from the accuracy and the build quality as they should have been for their price. To some that is worth it to others not as much. For me in some platforms the higher quality and price is worth. I'm a quality type guy, I'm willing to save longer for it. To each his own I will not judge anyone on what brings them joy in shooting as long as they keep doing it. It's what you value the most that matters.

I had a couple of 1" scope rings laying in my junk drawer and came up with this..
I had no carbon fiber tube's so I used pvc pipe and zip ties. Setup has no contact with barrel.

I was unaware that the late production model 75s came with a diopter 100 as oem equipment, but it makes sense.
The elevation issue can be written off as a difference in the height of the mounting base for the diopter vs front sight height. As long as you can center on the bull at 10m and your cheek is not smashed into the stock, I would call it good enough. Welcome to the world of mix matching sighting systems and differing manufacturers products.......

Glad to hear that you are finally able to enjoy the rifle, and explore it's potential. I have a 75 and a 66, and while the 66 is a great rifle, the 75 eclipses it in my book.

I thought I had determined that H&N Baracuda 18s that my Caiman X prefers shot well except for those that were 10.3 grains. 10.0, 10.1, 10.2 and 10.4 were all good but 10.3 were not. Most of the ones I have are 10.1 and 10.2. So I only shot something like 20 into 5 shot groups to make the determination that 10.3s were worse. So I sorted more and got enough to shoot an entire 30 yard challenge target and the 10.3s shot as well as the others. I'm sure you repeat tests for the same reason, it's best not to reach conclusions based upon a small sample of data. This is only one of several times I've tried sorting.

I did find head size useful in explaining why a couple tins of Crosman 10.5s shot so poorly. I had a tin that shot as well as H&N Baracudas in my P35 so I bought two more. They shot horribly. I did not have a head size gauge and I got curious and bought one. The dozen or so pellets I had left of the "good tin" had pretty consistent head size and it was similar to the H&Ns. The "bad" tins had pellets in the size of every hole in the gauge. All over the place. None of them shot well, I tried sorting them by head size and no head size in those tins would shoot decently. I don't think the problem was the head size, it was just s symptom of badly made pellets.

I haven't tested this theory rigorously but I think the weight variation in JSB brand pellets is higher than H&N brand pellets typically. So I've tried sorting the JSBs in my two guns which prefer them. Didn't make a difference. At least none I could detect.

Good luck on your investigations. Nothing at all wrong in understanding if there is a difference in how they shoot in the wind. I use group sizes as an initial screen but I like to use 30 yard challenge scores as my final determining factor.

When switching to my current caliber set up, I made sure to align the pellet pusher hole with the transfer port hole before I reassembled the barrel/gun. Once assembled, the transfer port sat proud of the slot where we load the magazine. I have to hold the cocking lever back in order to get the pellet pusher out of the way when loading a magazine now.

I believe Huma sells a Pin Probe with adjustable pin depth do address this issue.

The sightron S-Tac4-20x40 mrad is great

I'm having the exact same experience with the 2240 (not XL) that I just purchased. The quality is terrible compared to the several crosman guns I've owned over the past 20 years. The bolt action and trigger have a sticky, grinding, metal-on-metal feeling. It’s shooting 2-inch groups at 5 yards. Yes, that's 15 feet. I’m not even sure how that’s possible. All external screws are tight. I've tried 4 different pellets.

Will take it apart completely, inspect everything, and will update with any findings. I would gladly pay $200-$300 for this gun to be made well. I wish more Americans (people in general!) felt the same way. I'm more than happy to pay for quality. This is the only sub 12" gun in length that I could find that had a 3rd party RMR reflex site mount available (made by Buck Rail). If anyone knows of another comnpact air pistol with an RMR mount option, let me know. I want to give them my business. Not Crosman, unfortunately.

If it hit the frame of the racket, I didn't score it unless it just grazed it as for shot #6.

Billy Jean still won, but 11 out of 28 isn't awesome. If you watch the video, I outline that I am using a pellet that I know well (H&N Baracuda) for Bobby's side, and I am using AEA Center Punch pellets that I have never ever shot before, so they were a "wildcard".

This said, I got 38% hits for Billy Jean (7/18), and 40% for Bobby (4/10). This isn't a remarkable improvement over my "tested and true" H&N Baracuda pellets. So, my conclusion as to the "Battle of the Pellets", I'd say it is basically a draw between Baracuda 21.14gr and AEA Center Punch 21.9gr.

Let me know your thoughts.

It actually makes sense. You are posting like crazy so either you want to buy or sell something. If you are selling a gun and guys can comment on it, how would you like twenty comments under your add saying it’s over priced or pointing out every flaw. Commenting on classified adds could cause unnecessary mini wars of words. That can still happen, just not publicly.

I didn't get mine from airgun revisions but it shoots incredinly well woth the Polymags and jsb kings 25.39, .25 cal it's not a fast, hot gun but it is sure damn accurate and light. Trigger is crisp, 1st and 2nd stage can be adjusted to a blow on the trigger set it off light. And the cocking lever is smooth, yet solid. You can cock it back and it will stay open with no play or wobble.
