Umarex  Mod potential of Notos?

Do tell ...

Found my shopping list again:

  • FX 20398 Sidelever for FX Maverick, Wildcat MK3, FX Crown and FX streamline
  • FX 19611 Crown, Impact, Wildcat, Maverick Charging System Handle
  • FX 19682 Socket head cap screw M3x16
and I needed a slightly bigger retaining pin in the handle because the original pin got a bit too much room and was close to falling out. The new pin is a 3mm/8mm, which can be bought for next to nothing on Aliexpress. Might not be needed if you use a smaller drill bit.

Will This Work?

"molecular sieve is used to separate ethanol and water on a molecular level by adsorbing water into the 3A molecular sieve crystal while allowing the ethanol to pass freely. Once the molecular sieve is saturated with water, temperature or pressure can be manipulated to allow water to release from the molecular sieve in a process called regeneration. (~1,000º in a muffle furnace for ~3 hours)"

"3A molecular sieves are used to dry a range of materials, such as ethanol, air, refrigerants, natural gas and unsaturated hydrocarbons."

"For air separation processes, carefully synthesized 13X molecular sieve can be engineered to selectively adsorb certain gas molecules while allowing others to pass through, making it invaluable in separating and purifying gases on an industrial scale. Type X crystals are shaped differently from Type A crystals are tend to offer much larger pore sizes, about 9 Angstroms in diameter. Leveraging its high selectivity for carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide, 13X effectively purifies natural gas and biogas, ensuring that these resources meet stringent purity standards for safe utilization. Moreover, in air separation applications, the selective adsorption capabilities of 13X come into play by effectively removing impurities from the air. Beyond gas separation and purification, 13X zeolite also serves as an invaluable asset in the drying of various gases and liquids. Its exceptional water adsorption capacity makes it an indispensable tool for removing moisture."

Other  Why am I getting low ballistic coefficient?

Notice the green line in RSterns graph above.....

.22/25.4 Monster RDs, their BC hasn't peaked out at the 790 at which the line stops. Mr. Sterne must not have shot them faster in this comparison.

From slow twist polygonal barrels, I've found the best BC from the 25.4g Monster RDs to be north of 950fps. Compared to most wasp waisted (Diabolo) shaped pellets, the .22/25.4 Monster is a rule breaker.
I was curious about that myself. Thanks for adding that bit of info

Two Groundhogs In 4K

That .30cal Maverick with those H&N Slug IIs is surely a winner! Stuck him to the ground like he was a Post-It note. 😊

It certainly is! It's amazing how versatile this caliber is; you can switch off to pellets and dial the power wheel down and you got a great squirrel gun, or pop in the heavy slugs on max power wheel and take out 50 pound coyotes.

Thanks a bunch! They keep popping up, and I'll keep laying them down!
Got a Rock Squirrel at 90 yards today..headshot! Been awhile, lately all shot's have been within 35 yards https://www.airgunnation.com/thread...ck-squirrel-another-one-for-the-stew.1316079/

Brocock/BRK  I cannot get acceptable accuracy from my Brocock/BRK Commander XR Magnum

I shot my (non-Magnum) Brocock/Brk Commander XR in 5.5mm today with same JTS 25.39 pellet to compare and see if I got the accuracy I expect from IT and the Magnum.

I wasn't even trying to be the MOST accurate <<I>> could be and here what I got from same bench at same 30m.

5 shot group.

30 Cal pellet mold

Any one else going through he.. trying to find a 30 cal pellet mold? I spoke to AL @ NOE mold about 2 months ago and he has shut down for awhile due to illness. Well I have not been onsite in a couple of years but still here so I am on (probation) understandably. I will need to have some post to be able to do much on here. I am having a .30 cal pellet mold made as we speak we made one but it is very unfreindly to use. The prototype is to bulky we are cutting it down to make it more user freindly. I was able to do 160 pellets in 20 minutes but had to fight with cumbersome mold. I am making a 6 cavity mold so it will be worth firing up the melting pot. I did not mind buying pellets with my other air rifles but I purchased a Hatson blitz that should explain why I need a mold. When 2nd one is done I will be taking orders for 10 or more. As you all know it is expensive for the first mold CAD drwg, set up CNC etc. This mold is a 6 cavity so I had them made of steel not aluminum. I will be posting video of pouring and finished pellet. Hit me back with any intrest.

I am seriously interested in your mold. Have you improved your prototype to be more user-friendly? Hit me back and let me know how much and how you prefer payment.

Barrel Bending Diana 34

I didn't remove anything. I took the action out of the stock to bend and re-assembled to test fire.

There is no shroud nor spring around the barrel of this rifle. You can see the muzzle in the photo. There is just a front sight up there.

The maple jig fits around the barrel behind the sight. The pressure is on the barrel alone.

The Hatsan has some baffles in a plastic lug. The barrel does not extend very far into that assembly. Again I put the saddle over the barrel. Not the "suppressor" assembly.

It takes a buttload of force to bend a barrel. If you rested that jig on a plastic part and torqued it you are going to break something. Common sense dictates that the jig apply force to only the part that needs bending.
Sorry my mistake. I mixed it up with the 48.

Taipan hunt

Suddenly I have a craving for a nice iguana taco. I'm going to have to make it out to Florida one of these days and let you show me the ropes. That looks like too much fun.

...I mean shooting them. Not the birth control thing.
Come on down and we'll show you a great time!
I also agree with you on the whole BC thing.
