forearm bipod

I think this would be legal, but not ideal. Any stability gains would be offset by having the bipod so close to the breach. Stability is typically gained by getting the bipod as far away as possible. Most FT guns are very butt heavy, so having the bipod between the stock and bottle is probably going to make you miss high because the butt is always trying to creep down your shoulder. When you see guys using a 3 piece butt pads, the top paddle is usually angled more aggressively than the bottom paddle to try to prevent the downward movement of the butt.

That's why WFTF butt pads have the piece that goes over your shoulder, to settle the gun in for seated shots. The lower butt hook is used more for standing shots because your support hand is closer to the balance point, causing the butt to be lighter and tippy.

AEA  Challenger Elite.457 Head Aches

My own opinions. Why AEA, simply it's what I could afford it. Best out of the box, my experience and apparently many others, "No". But I knew that upfront and don't mind having to work on something to get it how I want it. In the end the I'll know every part of the gun and how it might be adjusted.
As for choosing a regulated gun it wasn't about shot count. For me it's consistency between every shot without having to think about a bell curve. I can't claim to have never missed, especially with a bow or crossbow. Deer react can quickly when you're shooting subsonic. Miss then wait a few hours for another to wander in and you've now got to factor a the POI change because your pressure has changed. Forget that in the heat of the moment while looking at a huge buck and a good shot becomes a bad wounding shot, and possibility an unrecoverable deer, no matter how much power your shooting. For me yardage, elevation, and windage are enough consider on the fly while my heart's pounding. And if I'm sacrificing some speed and power for accuracy well a good slow shot is always better than a fast bad one. And if I can't make a good shot, I'll let it keep walking.
As for range shooting a big bore. Off the bench is turning till it's where you're satisfied with how it's shooting, which is different for everyone, and sighting in the scope. After that again it's about consistency. But for the me, not the gun. Even a professionally tuned gun can only perform at it's shooters level. Everything I hunt with, I range shoot regularly as if I would when hunting, not off the bench. I'm just not a dozen rounds to check sight in just before season type person. I do it so when I shoulder something in the woods it a natural act, not something I'm thinking about. For me it's practicing with the tool I'll be using. I can plinck steel with my .22 and pip squirrel with it, but it's not my crossbow, nor this big bore which I still new to.
But to each his own opinion

A few more slo-mo rats for my Atomic XR…

Comng frm a master iguana killer? I’ll take it… 🙏 The praise of a good shooter? Priceless…
Thank you, that means a lot! Often we criticize ourself too much but I appreciate it! Hopefully soon enough I'll get to post videos like yourself, I have a few on my buddys sightmark wraith from shooting with the gk1 (traded for m3) just gotta figure how to get em out haha.

FX  Fx crown mk2 issue

Yeah regulator rebuild. Just don’t forget the small o ring that sits in the actual gun at the bottom of the threaded cavity the regulator screws into. It’s a PIA but it’s down in there. Just be careful changing it as you don’t want to scratch the metal surface it rides in or it will leak even with the new oring. Maybe use a plastic pick rather than a metal one. I would just replace all the Orings of the regulator along with that body oring while you are in there.
I like the plastic pick idea(y)

Other  Reximex RPA Pistol Review (This PCP Pistol Shoots like a $1500 Gun!) Video Review

Mark,
Measure the pellets both head and skirt diameters and you will see that the skirt is larger than the head in any caliber regardless of brand. Kelly may be correct about magazine bore size, but that has not been my experience. I use precision accurately ground pins in a go/no go manner to measure hole sizes. Of course there will be manufacturing tolerances, there always is, but they will be quite small typically .001" or less and that will have no bearing on the pellet retention when the diametral difference of the pellet is .010". Those grooves in the magazine's bores are to reduce binding friction in the magazine when the ammunition is slightly larger than the bore. Most shooters on this forum do not have access to precision pin gauges. I do. I have a machine shop. That allows me to actually measure these parts and the ammunition. Without actually measuring what you read in this forum is mostly BS.

Snowpeak  Snowpeak M60

while you wait...

here's my M60B in .357. i got it from krale and it came with out the fill port on the gauge, so i also had to order one from wes. where i also got a spare magazine. i also had an annoying waiting time, since out of the box the gun came with a defect fill adapter and krale had to send a new one. the first thing that happened was that the o ring of the the bottle broke, when i first detached it, the vendor also send a few new ones, but so far it did not happen again. still i wanted to have the fill port on the gun. i also added an alsafe CF bottle which might be a tiny bit too long, as it touches the moderator (which i think works well, compared to shooting without) with a little bit of tension, to my understanding i would rather not have a connection there. hopefully i can find a some kind of extension to add clearance. another aspect of the new fill port is that the original foster coupling from snowpeak has a crappy plastic valve inside, which for me audibly leaked all air directly after the first filling. (wes said, if that happens, the valve can be reset by pushing a pin into it, but i do not like the idea). knowingly, he also included a better foster coupling in the set, with a brass valve inside, which works, but it's profile is too long, so if that is attached the bottle can't be unscrewed, without taking off the barrel shroud or the foster nipple. :cautious:
anyway, i like the gun, but it was also my first and i have had no clue, if i knew better, i would have taken one in .30 as well. now i hope the external plenum (as seen on youtube and briefly also here) will be available in regions, the shipping does not cost many times the actual items value.

N/A  The Dark Side got me....

I’ve never had a good springer. Just a crosman and a umarex Ruger named one. That could play a role but once I shot a pcp, nothing even good a beeman chief 2, I could have thrown those two springers in a field. Haven’t shot them since.
Same, except I had a few decent springers.
Once I discovered smooth shooting PCP's, the springers collected dust.
Someday I might get 1 springer, simply for a SHTF scenereo, where no electricity for months, might be a concern.

FX DRS obsession

Justaguy has good advice.

I kinda did the same thing. With the plan of getting a chassis from Delta Force or Saber Tactical when they became available.
I purchased a 22 700 classic. It is a Great rifle straight out of the box, extremely accurate and easy to setup.

I liked the DRS but wasn't impressed with .22 caliber.
So I purchased the DRS Pro in .25 caliber and it is an amazing rifle !

Crosman  Entry level PCPs keep getting better. Welcome my new Crosman Prospect!

I too have been waiting on a review of this latest offering, so thanks!

I also noticed that you're a lefty. Please don't shy away from letting the rest of us lefty's know how a righty set up handles in the field.

In Field Target, it's not uncommon for a lefty to use a righty action in a lefty stock, but in a hunting situation, not so much?
