Fields course, usual time, looking very hot.
wow that is incredible thx for posting!I'm sure anyone into antique airgun are familiar with the German Bugelspanners (trigger guard lever gallery guns) made by Oscar Will. Much more rare are the ones made by Oscar's brother, Julius. Julius stamped his guns with a fancy 'J' superimposed over a 'W' just below the serial number. Here's SN #1, looking it's 100+ years of age, but still boasting a lot of original engraved nickel plating and intact silver floral inlay on the top of the barrel near the breech.

I don't see that and if it is resolder it.The barrel is separated from the tube because of the wedge clamped rear sight.
I'm thinking the 57 and the 50 are same swept volume. Both are 26mm pistons and the kits are interchangeable. They're both approximately 12 fpe guns. You can have two of the same guns set up the same way and one will out perform the other. My 50 currently shoots JSB 8.44 exacts 785-800.I did not actually weigh them just picked up to compare. The 57 is lighter than a 35n and about the same as a 30, I do not have a 50 to compare there.
Here is a comparison of some specs from the old yellow forum a few years back
"Chrony numbers: both in .177...
HW50S HW57
CPL: 758 FPS 795 FPS
FTS: 745 FPS 757 FPS
JSB: 760 FPS 785 FPS
Some folks have reported loading tap misallignment problems with the HW57 although both of mine (.177 & .22) have been working flawlessly...the HW 57 is easier to cock being an underlever...a lot of tuners work with the HW50S so possibilities are almost endless...accuracy is about the same for both...just gotta find the pellet each rifle likes..but...they are really two different animals...if I had to have just one of the two, I'd pick the HW50S..."
It looks like the 57had a slight velocity advantge, although I would like to see some other numbers comparing the two.
That thought had just crossed my mind too. I've heard they're pretty good shooters.Hmmm I wonder who else shoots an FX400?????? Lol
"Umarex Gauntlet Super Tune Kit Installation" (2018) Burnishing of poppet around 15.33 minutes. WMHe has a lot of videos, do you know the title by any chance?
Have one and a fun rifle for the price! Charles
Gun barrels are made from relatively soft steel. You ask any BR shooter, whether airgun, rimfire, or centerfire, and I doubt you'll find anyone who uses brass brushes. If you must, use a nylon bristle brush. I don't use brushes at all, Just patches wet with Ballistol. That gets all the residue out. If it doesn't , then the barrel should be polished with JB bore paste. I don't understand why FX gets by with so many bad barrels. I sent two liners back and they agreed to replace them. It was done rather quietly on their part.Just curious why you disapprove with the use of a wire brush.,.are you meaning mild/stainless wire in a brush? If so you are spot on. But brass? Brass will not hurt a steel barrel
yes I think its the same as Bakers. -- here his linkTell me about your scope mount set up, pretty please!
That is the way to do it, I have shot several nighttime chicken marauders that way.25 yards from inside my Laundry room, I have the door covered with a camo net so they can't see inside when I open the door, lights off inside house.
