I used to hate the eye cup and immediately took them off both. But..........sometimes my early morning or late afternoon hunts depending on where I'm pesting are difficult to see through the scope due to the sunlight angle. The cup definitely helps and in all honesty I quickly got used to them.

I'm confused - a previous post said that N50 would move to the 2nd Saturday of the month.

Just got my M257 yesterday. Results after initial sighting in. I was using Griffin 68gr BTHP 4s at 50 yards. It also holds this zero out to 75 yds. I know I pulled on at least one of the shots. Still getting used to it.

You mean where it came from or how it got dinged up?
Ole' lady saw it at Walmart and picked it out. Price was $15.
The dings in it came from being lazy.
The lesson learned was: Never "sight in" at 50 yards after mounting a scope.

I'm going to try some with a center drill and see what happens, I think I've got a small one laying around in a tool box....edit...yes I do, I opened up 12 RMR 26gr, opened up a few too much they were off at 25 yards by about an inch or so, the others grouped like stock slugs, so there is an option. Tried my .251 139gr Javelin's in my Raptor a slight boost on the reg got the speeds up to my 1040fps, tightened up the groups nicely and a very rewarding 82 ft # at the muzzle, maybe overkill for those darn squirrels but I WANT BODIES!!

Wondering if someone put an 700cc buddy bottle and a 700 mm barrel on a theoben Mk2, and what where the results of this modification?
I have a couple of barrels that I would like to place on the rapid mk2, 700 mm .30, 650mm .25 and a 650mm .177 all from Alfa Precision.
Also want to put an 700 cc bottle on de mk2 for more shots, should be a simple replacement.

You are absolutely correct that there is no need for a PMV when refilling a tank the wayt we airgunners do. A PMV really is only useful in refilling tanks from empty.

Filling from a reduced humidity air source (like an air conditioned room) will help reduce the amount of condensed water vapor that will collect after after compression, but it won't reduce the amount of water vapor that is still in your air coming out of the compressor - so a desiccant drier is still needed no matter how much humity is reduced in practice. It would take a relative humidty of less than 1% for the air entering the compressor to be be dry enough that a desiccant would not capture anything after compression . . .

I really like the looks and weight of the AEA Max. Could anyone out there that owns one please post a progress report.

My press didn't come with it, so I had to purchase it separately. Not sure why others got one. You definitely want to use one so the extruded lead doesn't fall into the slot of the ram.

Ive never seen covers for airgun moderators before…Other than camo tape. Silencers on firearms get extremely hot. Covers prevent the heat waves from distorting your view. It also prevents your legs from being burned when your rifle is hanging from a sling.

I had 2 of them still have one, excellent little scopes.

Personally I'm comfortable with my Maverick Compact .22 out to 125 either slugs* RMR/FX Hybrids or pellets **, ditto for my Maverick .25 VP/600mm and my JSAR Raptor .25. As Motorhead said, the success rate will be iffy.

I've used carpet and it works fine. I prefer old bed sheets of blankets in my pellet trap. The sheets and blankets stop the pellets before they reach the duct seal that I use as backing.

Sounds like it might be a good time to replace the piston with an upgraded adjustable one??

I go to the thrift store every day hoping to find one of those Leshiy air rifles someone threw in the bin. So far no luck.
