Zulus LRF off screen when zoomed all the way in?

Look at the eagle vision adjustable scope base. They are expensive .... but they work.

I just added one to my rifle, and while a bit difficult to fine tune, you are able to get close enough to fine tune in the scope. My lrf cross hairs are not far from where they are from the factory.
I can vouch. Since it’s English I can say it…. A fine bit of kit…

Corbin X-Punch results

Laser engraving would simply add to the cost. I appreciate the fact that there are still some products around that come marked by an individual by hand. These aren’t just cookie cutter type dies.

Dave
I get the personal touch, but even the budget stuff comes Laser engraved. Prices have come down for that equipment.

Other  The guns of Baldwinsville, Part 1

I bought a used one for a friend a few years ago-it turned into a bit of long story. If one touched the trigger at all while the safety was on, the rifle would fire as soon as the safety was taken off! I could not pass the gun on to my friend with this issue. Thankfully I was able to get new trigger parts from Umarex and after installing them it resolved the issue. Interestingly, when I told the seller about it he said "oh yeah I knew about that-it didn't bother me"
All that aside the gun had a nice shot cycle, was pretty accurate and easy to work on. The spring guide was molded plastic and caused me to wonder about the longevity of the internals.......
I have a Terrus with the exact, same issue. I own a Parrus, a Terrus, an LGV and an LGU. I've removed the safeties from all of them with the exception of the Terrus. Every single one of them had issues. On the LGU and LGV, I replaced the triggers with the Rowan Engineering replacement triggers. Night and day difference. I'd highly recommend the upgrade.
As far as the Terrus is concerned, I love the weight to power ration, the exquisite "click" as the barrel latches closed. However, I've never been able to extract the kind of accuracy from it that I would expect. The best I can do with it is just under 1" at 25 yards and I've tried several different brands of pellets.

Shelleen posting for Brink

Had a light turnout for our August match. It was kind of hot and humid but the wind was only about 6-8 mph which was nice. Seems like we are getting more Unlilmited Class shooters these
This is cool, im in Southeast Missouri ,Cape Girardeau. Its great what ya'll do.

22 cal hunting pellet recommendations for Umarex Notos.

My Benjamin Marauder Pistol (Prod) is tuned to a little lower fpe than a Notos comes with. All 17 squirrels I've take with it were with non expanding pellets. They work great. At Prod velocities I do not want expansion because the penetration is not too much and I don't want less. I have used Crossman hollow points to take squirrels but they behave just like domed pellets at Prod velocity. My Prod's favorite is copper plated H&N FTTs.

I would just use whatever is most accurate in your gun. Placement is far more important than pellet design.

AAFTA GP course optimization

You might be able to split such that open PCP and hunter PCP are one score setting division and all the others are a separate score setting division (WFTF, open piston, and hunter piston). This is basically splitting on 20fpe vs 12 fpe. I don't think there are many hunter piston shooters shooting a piston gun near 20fpe, and if they are, I am not sure it's an advantage.

This sounds familiar. Lol. Seems common sense to me to have a division line between sub20 and sub12fpe. I realize this is in reference to GP points, but it's at least a step in the right direction towards some logic/minimizing all the divisions with 1, 2, 3 shooters in each. 15 shooters at a typical monthly match and 7 possible classes/divisions is simply ridiculous.

Great weather for shooting, not so much for setting up.
getting comfortable with my new set up, thanks for the input Greg.

challenging course as always, dark targets and mysterious wind at the last lane. Gotta keep an eye out for place,mt of target near openings in the tree line.

thanks for all you do Greg and Pat

Air Arms  Problèmes FX impact m3

this is something that you adjust only once and never again, so use some loktite. FX impacts mostly leak either when they are tuned to the absolute maximum or if you mess with them all the time(like every piece of machinery out there). if you are not happy with leaking air you can always use stronger orings ‘NBR90’. be carefull to not strip the threads of the riffle because there is no turning back after that

FT Match Report Arlington Sportsman’s Club 8/24/2024

Sixteen shooters decided to brave the August Texas heat today at the beautiful Arlington Sportsman's Club, but almost all said that it didn’t feel that hot. I guess 97F temps, 40% humidity, and 10-13mph winds from the south helped make the day feel “cooler” than expected. We had 2 shooters from Tulsa, OK, one shooter from Arkansas, and the rest of the bunch was from central and south Texas. The course was 56 shots on 10 lanes with one off-hand lane and one kneeling lane. The average Troyer this month was 33.6, SD 6.05, Avg Dist 31.6 yds, and Avg KZ 1.01”. Most shooter scores indicate that the course was a little tougher than normal, but not Brian S. who killed it with a 93% knockdown rate and score of 52/56.

The only really challenging lane of the day was Lane 13 with a target on top of a 16 foot tower 1t 40 yards, and mesquite branches that moved with the breeze back and forth in front of the KZ. We didn’t discover this interesting fact until after the first couple of groups shot the lane, and by then it was too late for anyone to protest. It turns out that most shooters hit it at least once, so I didn’t see the need to throw it out and mess with scoring. The other challenging target on this lane was a red wasp at 53 yards in the dark and partially obscured by tall grass. My assistant to the MD, Scott C, thought it was harder to focus on than a black target. It was also an illegal target by the fact that it was 1 1/8” rather than 1 ½”, but once again no one protested until after the match.

Here are the results:
August 2024 scores.png

Brian S won Hunter PCP with 52/56 followed by Derrick W with 48/56 in 2nd, and then Rick C with 47/56 in 3rd by way of best forced position performance. I won WFTF PCP with 42/56 and Mark Welker won WFTF Piston with 33/56.

Thanks to everyone for helping take down the course, it was very appreciated. Our September match will be on Saturday the 28th, with guest MD’s because the MD and AttMD will be out of town. We appreciate the ASC club members who are willing to stand in to run a match when Scott or I are unavailable. Thanks a bunch!

See you at the next next match,

EDgun  Leshiy 2 wont fire, Help!

I checked the videos and then the gun. It was obvious that the transfer port o-ring and holder had come out. Amazingly I found it intact, re-installed it with some o-ring lube and once again all is well. Thanks for the advice.
Just FYI, I have done zero mods to this gun. I am happy with the performance, but, just for grins, what would be the first mods you would make?
Good :) don’t modify a thing it’ll make the gun fail unless it’s cosmetic like a grip or something

Hatsan  Hatsan Fever

Ok thanks for the information. I wanted to get a better velocity for heavier pellets and longer range. I don't want to diesel it because of the possibility of damage and inconsistent performance. Coyotes, racoons, feral pigs and the occasional bobcat.

A breakbarrel Hatsan is not suitable for hunting those animals. You will need more gun .
