FX  Fx impact m4, why did they got rid of 1st reg?

1st reg is a must if you shoot with low bar (80-120). Both the huma reg amd amp reg wil drop 2-4bar when reservoir is going fro 250-120bar. So if you want consistency through the whole fill do add a 1. reg (and put it close to your 2. reg bar) so the 2. reg sees same pressure when reservoir goes down from 250b.
It the same problem on all fx. When bar drop on reservoir the reg pressure drop a few bar as well --》hammer gets out of tune --》los of consistency.
I own 3 FX - same problem with them all - so I shoot directly ftom a 7l air bottle

N/A  Reximex RP max power ?

You can increase by regulator but i dont recommend very low shot count .. i believe with 550 fps you get very good shot count and after all its a pistol ..

Thank you for sharing such results
I see you started with 640 average fps
So did it came set to this speed by default out of the box or you increased the hammer spring tension to squeeze 50-100 more fps?
Thank you

Benjamin  Marauder .22 transfer port 1/4 tubing

I get the best velocity gains when porting and polishing the transfer ports by simply blending and radiusing the sharp drilled corners of the ports. High pressure air needs a smooth flow to increase velocity, so the air isn't going around a sharp 90° corner. I use a Dremel tool with small carbide ball shaped cutting bits to knock off the corner edges, to essentially create a curved pipe for the air to flow through.View attachment 488633View attachment 488634View attachment 488635
I just ran some 15 grain pellets over the chrony it will do over 1000 fps for about 40 fpe that's with the valve drilled to 0.203 and barrel port at .166 and the breech hole opened up a lot I got a piece of tubing in the breech port hole and my trasnfer port stuck into that to get it to seal

Other  Why so expensive?

We were talking high end airguns. I simply pointed out that PCP's bridged a gap between air rifles and powder guns. A reasonably priced powderburner would be much less expensive and more suitable for big game than any high end PCP.
I know we talk about pcp's on this site, but a subsonic chunk of lead is a subsonic chunk of lead no matter what propels it. I have taken a couple deer with a big bore PCP, did it just to be different. Won't use it again, it is too awkward, too long, large temp swings where I hunt are normal which plays havoc on pressure, huge pain in the arse in general. I used a heavy SWC in it, both deer while hunting recovered short trails, good blood, both shot double lung, low entry, both trotted off fast, not running and slowed very quickly. They all were on the short side of tracking, I actually only tracked two for practice, heard both go down and knew exactly where they were so didn't need to track except to stay in practice. One of those two I hit maybe couple inches higher than I normally would to avoid low branch. Start of his blood trail was a little thinner than I'm used to, but no problem, 30 yards into his semi-circle run around back to ridge he started on, blood trail was fine. He went over the ridge, I already knew he was at base of hill from hearing him crash and stay down.

I also shot one not hunting with pcp, damaging my property well within distance of house that makes it legal where i live to kill it out of season, no other deer in years has thought to eat those bushes, just that one 6pt wanted to eat all new branches, 3rd day straight of eating totallling about 50% of all new growth that year I took him down. I know people will say should build a fence to protect stuff you plant that deer may harm, F that. Costs money, is ugly, and takes more time and maintenence, and cutting grasss around it is annoying.

I'm looking for a multi-pump air rifle from a Mfg. who has consistent Quality Control... Any suggestions?

I have an old Benjamin Blue Streak with a peep site. I had to drill and tap it to install the peep. I had a scope on it but the mount slipped. I hardly ever use it. Pumping between shots is just not how I like to spend my time. To get it up to 15 fpe or so takes 10 pumps. I want that much power to think of shooting a squirrel with it. I would rather do my pumping up-front and then have dozens of shots before another pumping episode. Originally with my first PCP I did just that. I still have the two hand pumps but I've switched to compressors and a Scott air pack. But even if hand pumping I think most of us would prefer to pump and shoot in two at least slightly different time periods. Shooting a 5 shot group with 10 pumps between each shot is just not that much fun. Hitting a squirrel a little off and then pumping 10 times to deliver a finisher would be an issue for me.

I like my Benjamin and it has certainly held up over several decades but the trigger is not that great, not as good as my under $500 PCPs. I shoot thousands of shots a year from my 6 pcps but normally don't shoot a dozen shots through the Benjamin in a year. I have both, it is just more fun to use the PCPs.

HW/Weihrauch  Weihrauch HW75 Questions

I leave for a big trip tomorrow but wanted to share my initial impressions. First off BN was super to deal with, really good transaction and a great first impression to this forum. As for the gun...seems to be built well, feels good in the hand. Trigger is pretty darn good for the price point; I adjusted it up as high as I could and it's now at 1lb 13 oz, which is close to my target guns. Sights are acceptable, I mean, this is not a Hammerli. I do wish the rear sight windage detents were more positive, but it'll work. Have not had time to test for accuracy, but have noticed I will need to buckle down working on follow through because when that heavy hammer drops it's noticeable.

Why are there two sizes for what I assume is .22 cal, but only singles for the others?
@timmah I'm not sure, but my guess is that those are the two most common airgun barrel groove diameters on the market. They're likely the two sizes you will find ".22 caliber" airgun ammo in. I had a "good time" trying to learn to order .22 ammo, especially packages that were labeled incorrectly.

N/A  Renting out my FX Impact/Walther LGU/Slavia 631 LUX - DM if anyone is interested

Especially an Impact! Too many doohickies someone can mess with and screw it up! Even an honest air gunner who is just wanting to try one out could cause you hours of work getting it back to where it was when you sent it out!

Replacement magazines for my .30 FX Impact M3

The Orions are affordable and have great quality for a 3D printed magazine... But, if you want the highest quality, smoothest action magazine available I'd suggest the Bullet Central BC Customs Billet Magazine. It is by far the absolute best magazine for the Impact bar none. Might be hard to find now that Bullet Central appears to be getting out of airgun accessories and is concentrating more on their Powder Burning business.

Daystate  AOA Plinker Package

I bought (3/23) the We the P etc package for the Daystate revere regulated .177. The scope back then was an Athlon Argos 2-12X42 HMR. I did not want a hubble on the Revere and had no need for more mag. As such, it was a good value, and that scope works very well in this package. The mod is helpful, and the rifle is very quiet, accurate and refined.

That said, I am fairly certain that I got a rifle a bit shop worn. There were minor scuffs that suggest the tech who installed the scope should have cleaned his/her bench first. I am well satisfied, however.

MTC scopes are ok, but that one is not in the same class as that rifle, in my opinion.
The tee shirt worked fairly well for cleaning the wheels on my truck.

Other  OEM match gun/sight tools

Hi Pete, yes the old Anschutz sights will fit most guns with 11mm grooves that are open to allow the sight to slide on from the rear. The front rails are slightly flexible and have tremendous clamping power, and the rails will clear both flat and arched receiver tops, so they are pretty forgiving of minor differences. I use them on several Weihrauch rifles.

Other old target rifles made by Diana, FWB, Walther, Weihrauch, etc., all had similar sights. But the attachment details, rail spacing and angles, etc. - and thus interchangeability - of those varies quite a bit.
