New Need Help Choosing Rifle

keep researching and reading and I keep coming back to the Benjamin Marauder as a decent option in my price range. I have learned there is a standard barrel, a Lothar Walther barrel and a SAM model.

I've got a Marauder Regulated Lothar on the way. My first "real" / "grown-up" air rifle. I have never heard of the "SAM" model. Got a link?

ETA: I just figured out "SAM." Semi-auto.

I should hopefully have "first shots" next weekend and will report back!

Other  Smith and Wesson 76G Exhaust valve

i have a amend my last post
i had an idea of how the seals could fit without the stem being removed
that was take and remove the lip on the seal cup and then reduce the barb on the stem
so, in the drill the stem went, chucked up on the spring side and used an exacto knife to scrap the lip away, took a few minutes
i cut a new seal with and 1/8 center and 5/16 OD and it pushed on with a little help
now my material might be 0.3-0.4mm to thick and when the stem is out you set the barb on top on the seal and in doing so the stem to face dimension stays the same but in this case the stem length will be that amount short
so just an idea down the road

N/A  Channel question

Hey guys statt up a small youtube channel "new sentry arms " got some shorts up they are not that gd im just learning the camera side .what would u guys like to see ?? Maybe outta big bore .or maybe small bore calibers. Accuracy at distance, range type target setup, spinners, gongs ,dueling tree etc.or do you like things that go boom .any input from u folks would be informative and if you saw any of my shorts I posted,,fire away guys lol, thanx

GK1 Builds: Camping Carbines & Pack Pistols

Very nice setups.
I saw there was a custom 6” shorty version out there. I want to get one of those with a moderator and just iron sights.
My guess is that you can get custom shorties to almost any reasonable lengths you may desire. I'm just waiting for someone to get a micro unit that can only produce half a dozen shots at maybe 25 ft-lbs.

Or someone to keep the stock tube length but cut the barrel and shroud down so that the moderator terminates to the same edge as the airtube.

AEA  question about where to mount my gun on a death grip tripod since there is nowhere to grip the gun safely?

just to update everyone this is what i ended up buying for 20$ on amazon and works with a 50$ tripod i already had, it would probably be smart to mount it to a more solid tripod but it does work and sometimes i just rest it on the tripod sometimes i mount it and leave it there for a while but i dont like leaving it unattended like that on this tripod

N/A  Why don't PCPs all have safety burst disks?

I had a pressure failure once when I overcharged my S410. Air Arms did do a pretty good job of engineering a safe failure point into the design. The way the reservoir is designed, it's weakest point is after the threads at the muzzle end so if it fails the thin area mushrooms out and the o-ring is extruded. There was a loud whoosh when it happened, but no bang. A burst disc would have been better though.

N/A  King 2236

Thanks Hobbyman2007. I measured the spring dimensions but have not called anyone yet. I ordered and received a seal kit for the 2236 rifle. It came with air tube, leather and neoprene seals. I could not use any of them. I could not get them passed the beginning of the gun. In my opinion they are too large. All air gun purists should stop reading this now. I removed the rivet that holds the gun together. This made life wonderful. I then cut many new leather seals until I found the sweet spot. The leather seal I got in the kit was also cut off center. A lot off center. I used 13/16s as a start for the seals. Long story and much cursing later I have a fully functional air gun. Lightly wire wheeled the metal and wood stock. Tung oil on the stock and just light oil on the metal. It now has a wonderful patina look to it. I stretched the spring a bit to straighten it out but who knows how it would look if I took it out again. It shoots much faster than before but is a bugger to cock. Not horrible but much harder than my Crosman western sky carbine 1999 rifle. Hopefully it will get easier the more I shoot. The western sky carbine can hit anything accurately so we usually shoot at targets from 50 to 60 feet away. Much more fun. I am happy. That is all that matters. Now I hope that this gun will last another 80 years or so. Next we took my new M1 apart to make the trigger pull easier. Sweet Lord what a time that was. All back together, trigger works no batter but oh my God what fun it is. That's all for now gang. I would like to make one of those targets that slowly spins after the first shot. Look really fun but don't what to pay the price. Thanks for all the help and happy shooting. Brian.

Karma  Karma EQ Help? How to Degass and Does Barrel Index?

My hammer spring is at 0 clicks from 0. It's at 0, reg at 2150 psi
Thank you very much Nate keep up the good work man. You make some of the best videos and I love your sense of humor. Plus we’re almost neighbors. I’m over here in Puyallup.

EDgun  Edgun Leshiy 2 Accuracy

Nice, the longer barrels can really shine.
I did a polishing/lapping the ceramic ball pocket in my REPR somewhere early days when that Reg surfaced, and never since I had any problems with it.
My .22x500 L2 is currently detuned for low attention seeking mod, 70b, 2x0.8 jets, 15gn Hades @ 750 fps, about 13+ mags on fills, a consistent MOA @ 50 M.
The L2 is a very capable machine is you learn the trigger control.

Has anyone tried the newly designed jsb monsters 13.43 in .177?

Well that %#&*€¥ socks. May I ask what you were shooting them from. Mine is an at44 177 long and it loves the old ones. I only have 2½ tins left. Well I do thank you for taking the time to respond.

@airgunutty
If you are really in love with the original JSB 177 13.43 there is a member selling multiple cases of them
I bought a few sleeves of jsb 16.20 from him without any problems

just my 2 stents

AirMaks Arms  Katran Compact in .22 - recommended moderator?

Seeing what the AN forum members with the Katran Compact .22 are using for moderators. Will be running 14 to 15 grain pellets in general. I did contact UA to see what they recommend as Katran sellers. Majority of the shooting takes place around 30 yards or less. What are you running for a moderator?
Here's a picture of Ryu on a Katran CS

Taipan  Taipan Veteran Standard .25 cal

I always engage my safety on when breaking down the Taipan. Helps to keep the trigger rod in the right spot. Also keep your screws just a little loose and mount the action back in the rifle. Tighten down the stock bolts when you know it is in the right spot and then tighten down the barrel/airtube clamps with the bolts you can reach. Pull the action and tighten down the bottom airtube clamps.
Thanks for the advice! Appreciate that. I'll remember that next time.

EDgun  Question: Edgun Leshiy 2 Magazines 30 cal Red 7.62 Ammo Compatibility

True, but in the centerfire world with custom barrel makers, some do have tighter chambers and tolerances for those that custom load their own ammo. Some cartridges have the bullet seated deeper and some less than others.
Shot the Zan slugs today, and they are excellent.

Beeman  Beeman 13615 .177 Kinda Impressed

Got this little guy a few weeks ago and finally had the chance to miss with it. Out of the box nothing to write home about, trigger kinda sucks and it has horrible hammer bounce. Swapped out the trigger spring and polished some parts and the trigger breaks at about 1lb. Swapped out the hammer spring for a shorter dual spring combo that gives a free flight hammer and shot count went from about 30-35 to 65-70 per fill. the regulator was set at 160bar from factory, pulled that out and have it around 120bar now. oh did I mention its loud like really loud so I made a shroud for it and now its really quiet. long story short for $175 and some tinkering you can have a pretty damn descent heavy ass bullpup. video below is me just goofing around with it. FYI the targets are @45, 50, 55, 60ish yards
