Does pellet testing make sense?

The first two years with airguns costed me all legs and arms and a left kidney not to mention the liver. I had about that volume of selection what Florida Man show in pictures earlier or maybe even more.
It toke me about next two years to plink away like a drunken soldier, what pellets and amo I will never use again.
Last two years I keep a single pellet in .25 and 3 pellets in .22 for all my ring games @ 50 and @ 100. I am glad I gave up on slugs very early after couple months of hair ripping.
I was watching here and there couple threads about new pellet designed and new sources...........sorry guys, I don't trust anything new that is just a cloning of existing...same with slugs.
Also... No pellet or slug dies for me. Placebo only in my eyes.

Buying a new Wildcat

5.5 pound squirrel gun

My CAIMAN X
Also a very nice gun!

Airforce  Airforce Texan .457 top hat o-ring keeps breaking off every couple of shots

Watching this post
Actually I found the issue...

I'm running a Maddog stock on my AFT 45, and was running a 500cc Acecare CF tank , which is around 12-1/2" from flat to round ends of the tank.
It seems to stick out past the butt of the rifle around 1" along with the butt pad.. so when taking shots, as I pulled into the gun, changing my posture recently.... my shoulder grazed the tank enough for my entire tank and valve to move ever so slightly on shots,,... sheering off the rings....
The Acecare 500cc with a new 2024 AAO MOAV valve on a my Maddog is 16-1/2" in it's entirety..
So I plan on sacrificing the 500cc for a 480cc from "Joe Brancato- TopGun Airguns" (which comes to 10-1/2 and will now lay inside on top of the bed of the Stock... Phew.... had my grey matter spinning on this.... But anyway , thank you for keepin an eye out regardless,.. stay safe and happy shooting:cool:(y)

RTI  RTI P II Regulator question

Ever done something stupid? LOL. 1st my Prophet II compact Is set up for 22 caliber, Its been 177, 25 and 30 , Its the one I shoot a lot of, not as much as 177 but its second fiddle,, I shoot pellet holes that is I shoot a pellet then I start shooting the hole, at 49 yards,, Its super accurate.. Two days ago it went bonkers 1 2 and 3 inch groups at 49 yards,,,, Clean barral ,check it over real good , Whats that something about the nut behind the wheel,
On accident I mixed the 15 gr JSB pellets with the 18 gr pellets and with my eyes I could not tell the difference,, DUH, DUH,
I just jumped to conclusion its got to be the regulator can't be nothing else,,
What a dumb mistake,,
Mike
You’re not alone, I just did the same with 22 and 25 grain pellets…

Schematic for Omega 75 cu. ft. 4500 psi Portable Air Tank Valve (NOT the HP3 valve)

@Gear_Junkie I haven’t seen a schematic for any carbon fiber SCBA tanks or valves. If you have questions about the Omega tanks, I suggest contacting the folks at Airguns of Arizona to attempt to get answers to your question. They’re the main retailer that I’ve seen selling Omega branded products.

AEA  If your zeus .72 leaks air from the barrel...

Shoot it! My zeus dumped all it's air. I called Bin and he was like "shoot it and let me know". I shot it, and I guess that closed the valve all the way and fixed the issue.

I found similar suggestions for other guns but nothing specifically about the Zeus. So try that if you're dumping air before you freak out like I did lol

Thanks to Bin for always taking the time to help out if I need it.

JSB HADES vs FX atomic... A WTF for me.

Glad to hear you figured it out it was the pellets after all.
I left the evidence of my butthurt wailing up. I apologize. But yes. There is not much I hate more than issues with a gun I built, which performed perfect, up until it absolute sh+t the bed. I can sleep now.

Not finished yet. Still have to decide whether I want to take of this rail again and replace with a dove to pic and back to the cantilever mount. The buckrail pp750 ar grip and stock mod, 1913 mount and folding AK74 triangle paratrooper stock and I will call it done.

Urban home shooting question..

If you are shooting anything out the window in the city it's best to know how a cop is going to react to it. Sooner or later someone will notice you and call them. Even if it's "legal" it has the potential to be a huge hassle.

Any time you do anything with an airgun assume people will think it's a firearm. The cops are going to arrive assuming that it is. Guys get shot holding a cell phone when cops are expecting trouble. A barrel sticking out a window could easily draw fire.

Is it legal? Maybe. Ask someone who knows the law you can trust.

Is it wise? I guess that's up to each individual to decide based on their situation.
some good points made

Kalibrgun  Cricket Carbine in 25 caliber

actionpistol I have to take back my statement of the moderator being so big, I just measured mine and it is 8" long, whisper quite btw. The 25cal must be attached different than the 22 cal. as mine is a slip fit with a grub screw. I'll never get rid of it because of the accuracy. Did Charlie send you a sheet with different pellet accuracy tests ? he did with mine.
My 22 cal. 2019
My moderator screws off. Not sure of the thread pitch. And yes he did send 2 sheets with targets shot at 40 yards. He also polished barrel, crowned it and aligned and smoothed the ports on it. Great guy to deal with

Getting into slugs. What slugs are you shooting?

Thanks. That yields to me thinking how long it would take me to pay that back in shooting and the fact that I am a hunter, I can make a lot of shots before I recognized the savings from making my own slugs. Thanks for your info!
I was the same. But for the cost of a gun you can get the press. And now I can make my own ammo, control quality, fine tune, and have fun...all while not being dependent on someone to have my slugs in stock. I can go to my shop and make up a batch anytime I want or need.

Beeman  New 2027 pistol!

I am a resident of Washington state, the gun laws here changed recently.
So far the 2028 likes the Crosman hollow points from Wally world just fine shooting offhand. I have a pellet assortment coming soon to further explore it's accuracy. Got it on the Chrono yesterday, hit 825 FPS with the Crosman hollow points, and the spring has a long way to go yet. The cocking effort gets pretty high, that will improve once I polish the bolt, just greased it for now. I think this pistol will hit 900-950 easily, I'll get a new battery for the Chrony and report.

2024 Texas Airgun Show NEWS

Well amigo I don't know what it is about Texas and hobbies...???

I have been an avid RC Car Racer and Manufacturer since 1984 and I'll be damned if I can figure out why we can Not get more than a few guys together anymore...

I got this from a good friend of mine, as I was wondering about the same thing, be it on another gathering.

Seems accurate to me.
