I'm considering getting the same scope. Was yours the FFP version?
If so, how's the retical size at 3x magnification? My main concern is it may be too thin to see against a darker background so I may prefer the SFP version. Thanks

Right on my magic spot with the .177 was 160-120 they’d pack right in.

Age has close to zero bearing on product longevity. In many cases older vintage products are more desirable and valuable than the brand new stuff. And then there are polymers, plastics of course.
Damn few new semi auto shotguns I would trade for my 40 YO Winchester SX1 for instance. The HK VP7 was the first polymer pistol, so far so good, will the next half century be as kind? I've yet to see a Polymer material that does not change with time. Time will tell.

Just a memo on the AEA 30.2 slugs, I 'believe/think' they disintegrate on impact. My trap is steel, and on a fairly steep angle, more than a funnel, the back side of the paper had shrapnel imprints, lots of them. I neglected to take a picture, I'll give it a go soon and see if I get the same results.

I wish it was higher. But our wonderful mods and site owner get to make those decisions through lots of time, effort, and hard work to keep this site a nice place to be.

I think it depends on when you got your Alkin which pressure switch you have on it. Also maybe the auto and manual have different pressure switches.

Mine has a pressure switch which is the same one which my F10 Shoebox had on it. IMO this pressure switch is not super accurate and can/will change a bit over time. I noticed my fills were only going to 300 bar instead of 315 bar so I made small adjustments testing each time. As with the OP you just need to go in small adjustments and test the cutoff each time.

This time, I had the opportunity to test some .308 caliber slugs. However, just before testing, I needed to replace my scope with a new one. It was previously mounted on my AEA Big 9, and now that it's on the Texan, I require a riser mount. Nevertheless, I managed to achieve a two-shot group twice. For one group, I marked the shot with tape. The slug is a 150gr flat nose and flat base with a knurled design, providing very accurate shots from 100 yards with my .308 Texan. Once I have the .308 dialed in, I might attempt 200, 300, and 400-yard targets.

All good ideas. I believe that those are metal (aluminum?) pucks, but a plastic just might work well. Just be sure that the plastic is not oil base as it will 'melt' with the lube/grease in the bolt/housing.

Unfortunately there is nothing in the manual about adjusting the trigger so I reckon it is not designed for owners to change the configuration it has now. I hope a skilled airsmith will venture into the trigger assembly to learn what can be done to improve the pull.

PSI working on the area of the bore .... Larger the bore being greater exposed area the greater becomes the push for any given PSI.
Volume or air is consumed more with a smaller bore as the guns tune to produce any given speed required air being released for a longer period or at greater pressure accelerating projectile.
There indeed is set up and porting / valve specs that can skew this basic statement.

The new AA 13.4 pellets look the same as the older Falcons so that is a good thing. I shot a few of the new ones and they shoot really well too.

Seems pretty good. The only thing I would say is if your micro hammer setting is 4 with a 97 bar reg seems more than necessary. However you are shooting 30 caliber and mine was .25. I would probably just check by slowly backing down just a cpl clicks at a time and see if the velocity drops or not. If not click it down little by little until it does and then click it a couple back up. No sense in smacking the valve harder than needed.

Don't know yet. I have shot the rifle yet. Waiting for a few more items to show up. I will post once I get to shot it.

So when you hook it up to your gun, you open the valve on the tank nothing goes in cause the 800 psi output isn't strong enough to open the one way valve on the gun. The size of the tank doesn't matter but you must get an tank for pcp airgun. Not for paintball. They do sell small pony bottle tanks that will fill your gun.
